Early 1970s Met Life Commercials (Where The Future Is Now)

If you're of my generation (or older), you probably remember the Met Life Commercials from the 1980s and 1990s starring the Characters of the "Peanuts" comic strip. Which made me wonder, 'What ad campaign did they use before "Peanuts"?
These series of ads from the early 1970s gives an interesting answer. The tone of these ads are dramatic and wistful, as opposed to the lightheartedness that was the later "Peanuts" ads. These particular commercials aired during the infamous Muhammad Ali/Joe Frazier brawl, right before their second fight in January of 1974, although these ad looks like they might be predated by a year or two; any help in the comments would be appreciated.
