Let me tell you something about the man, Barry Manilow. May 22, 2011 an EF5 tornado ripped through Joplin, Missouri a town now of about 50,000 people. The community was devastated physically and mentally, 161 of its citizens killed by the twister. Joplin High School home of the Eagles was literally torn asunder, the entire structure shattered into debris, brick and ruble. Everything inside that building was lost. Barry Manilow heard the instruments the Eagle band had used were lost too. The man wrote a check and replaced the musical instruments, every one of them for the high school band. That is Mr. Barry Manilow ladies and gentlemen! Just so you know. The community is indebted to Manilow's kindness and will never forget his generosity.

I'm a hard rock, 80's hair metal kind of guy. I went to a Barry Manilow concert a few years ago with my wife. Hands down one of, if not the best, concert I've ever been to. Amazing entertainer and performer!

British 50s-60s teddy boy rocker - and when I booked a Barry ticket in 2008 for my mum’s 65th I told him I’d take her, but he said, kind of reluctantly, that he’d come as it was a special night for her birthday. But after the gig, he said, like you, that it was one of the best shows he’s ever been to - the songs, the voice, the showmanship, the professionalism. Barry plays every concert like it’s his the first time. Wonderful artist, singer, composer - and man.

I'm a Dutch Metal head. But i love the Barry songs more then 30 years.
Same story here. Took my wife, she's a big fan. My level of any awareness of him was I could maybe name three songs. There were some super fans there, a lady in front of us in particular was all Barry geared up and singing and carrying on and I was like holy cow she's really losing it. I tell you what, I'm right with her now. I was f'ing shattered by that show. Just so joyous. I was blinking back tears and didn't know why. Didn't know a show could be that good. I walked out of there the biggest Barry fan ever.
He sings music that makes people feel good. Never heard anything bad about him and at 80 still going strong. God bless him.
I've been saying the industry needs to do a huge lifetime achievement celebration for Barry Manilow. He's an icon. One Voice, The old songs, I write the songs, Mandy, Copacabana, Two ships.. even Thumbelina!! These are famous cultural treasures!!

He should receive the Kennedy center honors soon for his contributions to American culture. His catalog of music and production for Bette Midler, Dionne Warwick, Sarah Vaughn, etc. He’s long overdue for one

Saw him in November in Las Vegas. He was awesome. I couldn’t believe the amount of energy he had for a 90 minute show.
I’ve met Mr Manilow 6 times. On one occasion, I told him I admired him because he had certain qualities in his personality that I felt I would never attain. His response? “Nah!”. That was a turning point. He’s also the gentlest person I’ve ever met. ❤️

I am a Fanilow No one makes his music move me. He is pure and his songs show feelings and heart I am forever a Fanilow . Going to a concert or watching him on tv makes me feel like nothing else He is one of a kind and his music warms my soul and heart.
I played Can't Smile Without You for my dad who passed away this past July at almost 94.He loved that song alot.Thank you Barry from me & my dad who's always with me.

First saw Barry at Continental Baths NYC playing piano for The Divine Miss M....Several years later Barry was on TV and I had moved to Hollywood. A friend was responsible for getting the Pacific Amphitheater opened on time after weeks of delays because of weather....He called and ask me to drive his wife to opening night with headliner Barry Manilow since he was staying in the OC....I wasn't all that excited by the concert but wanted to make certain his wife got there.
By the end of Barry's second song, like most in the audience, I was standing and applauding. He was outstanding. A concert and experience I will never forget. Thank for decades of great entertainment Barry.🌠

He is beyond talented and really needs a lifetime achievement in the Grammys or a Kennedy Honor! He has earned soooo many accolades for his pure talent and gifts!! I saw Harmony 5 times, and will see it again. The cast is amazing !!! TALENT GALORE!!!! Harmony is touching , relevant to our time, entertaining , and funny. Go see it !!!!!!!!

Arguably the greatest singer ever. He surpassed Elvis with over 637 shows and everyone of them sold out. Sells out where he goes. He is actually singing and entertaining
Elvis died at the age of 43. If he was still alive he would have had many more shows in LV. Berry was in his 80s when broke Elvis record for number of shows and in LV. Don't get me wrong Berry is a great singer He and Neal Diamond are 2 of my favorite singers.
My two favorite musician songwriters are both Barry.. Gibb and Manilow. Hoping Manilow is a Kennedy Center Honoree this year like Gibb was last year ❤

When I was 17, the first song that my English Teacher brought to our classroom, was Mandy, because she used to say that a good way of learning a second language was to understand and sing or at least pronounce the lyrics of a song.. and Mandy was the first song I learned when I was studing to become an English Translator back in the 80's, and I have never forgotten Mandy's lyrics... still sing it after so many decades..

I saw him last week (3-8-24) at Westgate in Las Vegas. His voice sounds the same as 50 years ago, and he has endless charisma and energy. A must see.
Life long fan. No one's music touches my soul like Barry (& Elvis). My mom was a huge fan of Barry, hence my love for him. His music always brings back fond memories of my mom, gone 30 years ago. ❤❤❤

I have been a fan since I was 11 and I am 60 now. Back in the 70’s the (UK) music critics were unkind about Barry. Well if any of them are still alive I hope they’re eating their words. I’m British and flew to Palm Desert last December to see him perform his charity concert and paid extra for the meet-and-greet and photo. It was so worth it. It was wonderful to see him perform in a theatre rather than a big arena. He is so special. The best entertainer ever. He brings joy wherever he goes. His voice is still good. So excited that he’s coming to London in May/June. Going 3 times! Hope I get to see Harmony sometime. Love you Barry. Thank you for staying true to yourself. Hard to pick a favourite song, but would probably say it’s “Even Now”.
I'm writing this four months later at the end of May and hope you got to see the show in the U.K. it's on You Tube now and looks great. 👍

I finally get to see him Friday in Las Vegas. I saw the rolling Stones a few months ago. I am so lucky that these greatest entertainers of multi generation are still performing, and I am able to see them. He has been on my bucket list for a long time.
