- The Ruroc atlas helmets have always caught my eye, but I never purchased one due to early production problems and safety certifications. That changed when I saw the 4.0 have the new ECE safety rating, and I thought it'd be a good time to try it out since I was on the market for a new helmet anyway.

If my new bike was black, it definitely would have been either Serpent, Jormund., or Ghost. They all look really nice!

@@ajvalerio86 I'm checking everyday. Still hasn't been built yet so it's going to be a while. When I put down the deposit in Nov, the ETA was Feb/March. I'm hoping for June but have no idea if that is realistic or not.

I'm hearing good things about the 4.0, but with the similar fit and finish mishaps. I'm not sure I am ready to move on from my RF 1200. Maybe 5.0 when it's ECE, DOT and Snell? I am not a fan of the visor pins. I only swap my Shoei visor to clear for night riding, but takes a minute. Thanks for sharing!
I was in the market for a new helmet anyway to match the new bike (whenever it gets here) so I decided to give it a shot since I really liked the styles of their helmets. I finished recording my initial impressions video which had some surprising realizations. I will add that the pinlock visor didn't fit at all, and they're sending me a new one.
I almost never swapped my visor, I'd just bring clear glasses to wear at night and have the visor open. I'm too lazy to bring spare visors with me since I rarely ever ride at night, maybe 3-5 times a year.
I went from the 2.0 to the 4.0. Improved for sure, but still misses the mark in comparison to my now “very” old RF1200.
@@BrianWM What makes it still miss for you? Just curious what you'd like to see improved.

Yeah that'd be great, I had to cancel my first order as it would have been too small. It seems they are doing just fine keeping it to online sales and not needing to worry about the logistics of stocking stores. I dont thonk they even have production capabilities to support that demand either.
@@Valorcycle I see about a 70/30 on the sending back. They barely have the capability to keep up with orders as it is just with only online. That is probably one of their bigger complaints
@@WarPaintCustom Yeah, their marketing is so good at building hype despite the reputation for production and supply issues. I'll continue to wear mine for a while to see how it feels so I can be more objective in my experience with it.
@@Valorcycle I'd like to try the 4.0 because it seams the fit has improved and the wind noise is less. Maybe one day. I'll get a chance
@@WarPaintCustom Yeah unless you are really in need of a new helmet, wait for them to improve the production and/or wait for the 5.0 when it'll come out in ~6 months given how often Ruroc releases new products.

No it was an extra $30
is it tight M/L for 22.5"?i got mine S/M and my head size is 56.5-57 and it is impossible to get in and it is really tight
Sounds like you may need to bump up a size or two if you cant even get it on. Have you tried reaching out to their customer service?
