Guys this is absolutely awesome! Thank you for reviewing the first Atlas 4.0 information we have been given! i can't wait to see more from the dynamic trio and for the Ruroc 4.0 to be released and trialed by you all
158 subs? I figured you were a big channel that's been around for awhile. Keep up the good work. I'm excited about this helmet, I'm hopeful they fixed all the issues that kept me from buying one to date.
I am hoping the same thing. I run the 3.0 and I like it a lot. But as with any new product, there’s room for improvement snd the 4.0 looks like it might give me everything I want and more. Yeah I’ve only got 2 videos on here which were both Ruroc reviews so far cause that’s all I’ve been able to do in the winter but I have more content coming if you subscribe. Itll be interesting to get into more detail with it, once I can get my hands on one. There are a lot of people with the attitude that this helmet isnt going to be a ton different or better than the 3.0, but I have really high hopes from what I know so far. I cant wait to try it out @Ruroc
Yeah. I think they will probably add peer to peer functionality or perhaps compatibility with cardo/sena in the new generation of bluetooth units. That is what I am hoping for anyway!
I’m used to the sena so it will definitely be interesting what you guys have to say. As far as fit and sizing is there any comparison to AGV or SHOEI any of you can make?
I use the Cardo Packtalk Bold myself, and I really prefer it over any other system that is out there. I know Sena and Cardo are at the top of the food chain for bluetooth systems. I wonder what Ruroc's offering will bring to the table in regards to being competitive with that, however right now I think they are probably focusing mostly on the helmet itself. As for fit - I am super reluctant to say anything regarding the fit of the 4.0, because all of the padding in the helmet has completely been overhauled. As mentioned in the video, one of the big flaws of the Atlas 3.0 was the single-ply foam material in the interior padding on the helmet, which a lot of people found to be too soft, or to pack in and deflate too easily, leading to the fit being too loose on the larger sizes. In my case, I wear an XL in Icon and AGV, and I went for a L in the Atlas 3.0, but found it to be a little on the roomy side because of the padding, and the M in the Atlas 3.0 felt too tight. I think that the fit is going to be a lot more accurate on the 4.0 because of the multi layer foam inside, since that should have more material in place, and be a bit firmer. The Atlas 3.0 L with thicker padding seems to be the best fit for me, from what is currently available. They do have a size chart online for their helmets, so if you take a measurement of your head circumference, you should be able to look up your size. I imagine that they MIGHT re do this chart for the 4.0, or that they have engineered the sizing in the 4.0 to be consistent with their sizing guide. www.ruroc.com/en_ca/sizing-guide
Right now In my case the 3.0 was slightly big after the foam packing in… so I needed the optional thicker pads. I think the 4.0 with its new liner and padding should be true to the size chart!
There was a picture going around of the new shockwave system that replaces the side vents with the a control system like press buttons on both sides of the helmet to control the shockwave
That would be a good use for that space. I rode with my 3.0 again today and yeah depending on the direction of the wind those little side vents can make some slight but noticeable extra noise
If you’re looking for top notch quality, I’d say skip the 3.0 and go right to the 4.0. The 3 still had a lot of the common flaws with the past Ruroc helmets, but in the 4.0 they have basically all been rectified, not to mention the level of quality is at a whole new bar and it’s super quiet
Yeah for sure that’s one of the things we noticed with the 4.0 but only on the front vent. It’ll be interesting to see if there’s a way to open and close the side ones or the back one too
I would love to see the 4.0 have functional side vents like the 1.0 has. With regards to the Rheon rotation impact system, there are helmets that have had similar systems for years like bell with mips.
Yeah I think mips has been in use for a long time. I guess Rheon is just another iteration or brand name for the same thing. From what I know, the 4.0's side vents will NOT be functional, and are decorative only again. The issue with making those into functional vents is that they literally end up right on your ear if you were to look from inside the helmet, so putting a vent there has obvious consequences.
I wasn't impressed with the 3.0 and skewered it accordingly in my review and returned it. Hope to get a 4.0 soon to see if its any better and since I pay for it myself it won't be a sponsored biased review. But that also means it'll take 2 months to get it, which is another gripe I have about the company.
You’re going to be happy with the 4.0. And there’s no dollars being thrown at me behind that. It’s a day and night difference in their product and I mean that. Also, with 4.0 we’re going to see the distribution finally going out into retail stores later in the year I believe, so it’ll be nice to be able to buy it from brick and mortar locations and dealers
@@epicmotorcyclechannel307 yeah very understandable. I think Ruroc is learning from their mistakes and maturing. Man I can’t wait for you to see the 4.0. You’re gonna be shocked. I’m serious.
I really hope this helmet is a good competitior to the Shoei rf1400. The helmet looks phenomenal like always but style isn't everything, I personally value comfort and protection over style any day. So fingers crossed that they've cracked the code.
@@ThePastaRocket are any of you getting a tester? Im confused how at the beggining of this vid there were already feedback comments whether IG or FB etc., but no one has a vid out yet. Yeah Im curious too as the 3.0 wasnt worth the $$ they were asking. Tempted to buy one during their end of year massive decrease, but went with AGV ultimately. Still curious if they have upgraded to the complaints of the masses of the 3.0 to come as close as possible to the Shoei, otherwise AGAIN they cant justify that cost vs staying with a standard known company like Shoei or AGV. Very curious
i really hope they have solved the cheap padding issues that have been in the first 3 series of Atlas helmets. they just need to improve the comfort and noise issues and quality of the foam on the inserts which was pure shite
I have the 2.0. I like the helmet. It’s light. And looks amazing. I would love a more stable snap system with the padding. I’ve had to get replacement snaps from Ruroc multiple times. It’s a pain in the ass. I might go 4.0? Don’t know if I want to drop $500+ bones on a new helmet yet😭
Finally a comment that’s positive. Thank you. I love my 3.9 as well. I heard that the snaps on the padding are a bit weak. And yeah right now with Covid and money being tight I hear you
I have been wanting to buy a Ruroc helmet for some time but they have not earned my business. Overall I like the 4.0 features and enhancements and I hope they sorted out known issues. The 4.0 could have been so much more by simply eliminating the useless side vents. Did the design team intentially retain the side vents as eye candy? I dont think they look good, especially since they do nothing. To me they look less than good. That is as polite as I can be on that. Had the 4.0 shell eliminated the useless and unappealing side vents there would be a clear way to visually differentiate the 4.0 as a major update (which it may be IF it lives up to the hype) from previous and not well reviewed models. Reviews matter. I was initially interested in the 2.0 and more interested in the 3.0. Your marketing is great and likely accounts for the vast majority of sales. The reviews are why I did not buy previous models. The 4.0 shell without the side vents in the way would have cleaner lines and free up space to work with visual designs and paint, which is a strong point of your product line. Eliminating the side vents woud have supported playing to the products strength but the design team went the other direction. The side vents disrupt the arisits canvas. The 4.0 could have had stronger visual appeal, product weight (visually differentiating it from previous models) and ultimatly gained business value by simply eliminating the side vents. I think the ball was dropped retaining the side vents. That said, I might buy one anyway but you can sign me up for the anti useless side vent crew. Either way I wont be making a purchase at the product launch. I will wait for informed and knowledgable reviews from credible sources. Maybe I'll have to wait for 5.0. Feel free to include my comments for consideration for the 5.0 release.
@@bradleybaker8894 that’s fair. I will have one coming out soon, but I can vouch and say that it really feels like a quality product, and that it’s super quiet (one of the quietest actually) and there is a day and night difference between the 4.0 and previous products. I think they delivered on almost every point.
9:54 - Hit the nail on the head, I was literally about to type this comment in when you mentioned the padding swap possibility.. I'd love to see this so I can basically upgrade my 3.0 to a 4.0 without buying a whole new helmet!.
This is not 100 percent confirmed yet, but I have been told that it may be possible, but the padding is not going to be sold on its own, until the demand is met for the new helmet.
@@ThePastaRocket Still it's a great start. I'm late to the game with Ruroc and to be honest, with the 3.0 delays and padding quality for the £500+ helmet irked me, I've upgraded the padding to the thicker inserts for safety and bought the vent plugs to improve the audio quality but they're all things I consider to be a standard in all helmets, not an expensive addition. I have also bought an EngineHawk jacket and I am really putting the effort in to support them as a brand, I can see that they really listen to their customers and seem to be trying really hard to get something which ticks all the boxes. Their design and marketing team are smashing it out of the park every time though!!.
@@terryd80 it seems like they do hit the marketing pretty hard. I absolutely love how the helmets look. They have that down bar none. I really think the 4.0 is going to be a significant improvement of the helmet they already have. It seems like they have been able to keep the design and aesthetic all the same, while making the helmet safer and quieter and just better in almost every way that it lacked before. I’m super excited to try it out
Hi there, did you buy a 4.0 in the end? I've just ordered the internal padding as it's in the Black Friday sale here in the UK. I'm hoping it will be the icing on the cake for my 3.0 to save me the upgrade. I did look at the 4.0's at the Motorcycle 2022 show this weekend at Birmingham NEC but couldn't see enough of an improvement to warrant a new purchase.. the lining (if it fits) will be a complete upgrade.
I remember the 2.0 being an absolute shit show for shipping as well... Come to think of it I actually never received my fog screen that goes inside the visor either
Is there anyone with sportbike who owns that 4.0 Atlas ? I was baited with that design but red alot of opinions on 3.0 that it's only fancy looking helmet without safety tests with quality of cheapest helmets. I would be grateful for some opinions who really owns this
As a follow up, I actually did confirm that apparently they will, however it would not offer the same benefits, as a lot of engineering changes have been done to the shell on the 4.0 that compliment the new padding and lining inside. Also it could throw the sizing out
@@thatguymarimoto6299 I had one person from Ruroc say they would fit theoretically, but they won’t be selling the padding on its own until the demand for the new helmet is met first as they have limited supply
@@ThePastaRocket cheers but don't waste your time seen so many bad reviews on these helmet and the customer service isn't great when the blick people for expressing there opinion on there social media pages. Think I'll be going with an agv k3 sv. Thanks for the reply
Did you say there are going to be plugs to close of decorative vents to reduce noise? smh... I hope I misunderstood. Otherwise I'll stick with my Arais. They may not look as good but are more comfortable and functional.
Nah I was saying that maybe they turned the decorative vents into functional vents that open and close also. Its a little unclear from what they have released so far or the information we have from Ruroc, but that would be kinda cool if they actually did something. I see why they are there as far as looks go, but IDK why they cant be functional too.
@@ThePastaRocket Yep... Considered buying the 3.0 but when i found out you had to carry actual physical plugs to close the front vent I was like... nah... Even cheap Icons and HJC's have that. Don't know why they won't include basic things everyone else does. Happy with my Arai Corsair. It cost me an arm and a leg but its super nice.
Arai makes some good stuff too for sure. The Ruroc just has that insanely striking look. I really think they are gonna do right by everyone with the 4.0. It seems like this could be the helmet we have been waiting for from these guys.
Stay away from this company.. don’t listen to these paid TH-camrs. Do yourself a favour and don’t do it lol. From customer service to product quality . Do not do it
I have three of their Helmet. Love the design but despise their customer service. They are only interested in TH-camrs. If you need anything after they have taken your money, you are toast.
I am pretty new to their stuff and quite honestly I joined the dark side because of the looks. The 3.0 and earlier helmets definitely do have their issues. I was excited to see that they actually listened and for the 4.0 basically are releasing what the 3.0 should have been so I’m gonna stay hopeful at this point.
Thank you! It’s really a cool looking helmet and they fixed so much with it in my opinion. I will be posting some riding adventure videos in the summer time, so don’t forget to subscribe! Thanks for your support
RR didnt innovate anything with their Rheon tech, def NOT a first for street helmets. This has existed in many companies like Bell, Leatt, 6D (who has professional MotoGP guys using their helmets)...I dont like how you are putting this out in this vid like RR did something earth shattering. Its great they did this, and needed to do something to justify that release cost if similar to the 3.0, as the only way the 3.0 was worth it was at the end of yr when they dropped cost 60%. Hopefully they dont make the mistake thinking they can charge more than the 3.0 at release just because of this. Tho I do like seeing this tech inside this helmet and am curious why this isn't more available with other manufacturers offerings having some form of MIPS tech to reduce TBI's. I just hope they up the anti on that liner as it def was a major let down on the 3.0, got a chance to fit one and def wasnt a "luxury" feel liner
I don’t remember “earth shattering” being used in the video, but regardless it’s good that they have put this technology into the new helmet. I do agree that the previous models left a lot to be desired on the padding side, and I am confident that this is going to be one of the biggest improvements that they have made - I truly think they have listened to the feedback and done it right and perhaps even gone the extra mile. We will find out
@@ThePastaRocket used as a figure of speech based on how it was presented in this vid esp by duder in the white headphones. But yeah, those of us in the community that actually have a clue and care were disappointed by the 3.0 helmet (others had earlier version disappointments) and their cost completely is unjustifiable. Like I said, without having this in hand, I doubt it will be better than the 1400, maybe on par with AGV K6, still say they wont touch Bell esp when you have the Qualifier DLX MIPS for $289 and the Star DLX MIPS for $549 - esp when I anticipate this 4.0 being MORE $$ than their 3.0 cuz now they have fancier stuff - and the only Bell I own is for DH MTB!....I dont get it. Time will tell.
@@Mike_Jones68 it’ll be interesting to see what they come out with. Bang for buck, bell has been taking the cake for sure. The thing to remember too is that shoei and AGV and bell have all been around for a really long time. RR is really new to the game, so likely the cost of the helmets is due to much higher production costs associated with smaller batch production and limitations in their facilities as I do believe they now manufacture the helmets in house. It’s true that the previous helmets left something to be desired for that price tag, but this time around I am really confident that they made some massive improvements. I do expect it still to be on the higher end of the price spectrum though.
Same! I reviewed the 3.0 and returned it. Also, wow what groundbreaking tech...a close switch on the vent. Took 4 revisions to do what every other helmet with a vent does.
@@ndocds nope. I’m not a rider, just watched because of you. (I’m susan_loves_cowboys from TT) I didn’t realize there were so many components of a bike helmet! Now I’m invested to see how the new helmet will be! Lol
How about designing a helmet that doesn't look like its wearer is about to storm another country? If the V3 is anything to go by with respect to noise over 60km/h, I'll respectfully pass.
I doubt it they are just a cheesy marketing company. Keep releasing the same thing over again and use customers as Guinea pigs. I wouldn’t touch them again with a barge pole.
@@ThePastaRocket I fell for the hype machine and watching certain TH-camrs who got free helmets saying how wonderful it was. Unfortunately bought one. It didn't fit so was unsafe to ride in. It let water and small flies In the front head vents while being extremely noisy. It's more of a fashion item than a serious helmet. Customer service is awful I eventually got a complete refund as in the UK we have good consumer law. Releasing 4 versions now of basically the same helmet shows they don't have a clue. You dont see MotoGP riders wearing armored hoodies and jeans while riding either...
@@ThePastaRocket I’m not trying to argue or being disrespectful with any one I’m just trying to express my opinion …but versatility and research for safety is what makes a motorcycle gear company to stand apart from the rest …few examples …alpinestars they have casual street riding gear and also performance gear that offers you more protection…that’s a high end brand but let’s talk about scorpion they also have street riding gear like jeans hoodies jackets shirts helmets but they also have performance gear like riding suits gloves and helmets …ruroc has done nothing but disappointed their costumers with poor quality street riding helmets …yeah they look different but at the end of the day they are useless Even at the street you can get wild and speed up sometimes that’s where you’ll regret wearing a different look helmet and not an aerodynamic developed helmet trust me that makes a big difference being comfortable while riding your motorcycle
@@torres7922 I totally respect your view on that and you’re right about the safety bit of it. One thing that companies like alpinestars or shoei have that Ruroc doesn’t though is decades of experience. These guys are pretty new in the game and I think they are genuinely trying to make every iteration of the product better. As much as I agree that safety is important (or the most important) it’s not like anything they have put out on the market straight up doesn’t meet the safety standards. They definitely do, and I think that’s where a lot of the misinformation happens.

Also, with 4.0 we’re going to see the distribution finally going out into retail stores later in the year I believe, so it’ll be nice to be able to buy it from brick and mortar locations and dealers
@@ThePastaRocket We shall see! Distribution is a huge gripe I had. 120 in shipping charges and have no helmet to show for it.
Im really hoping for the same! I will post a follow up video when I can get one and try it out! Thanks for watching and for your support!
@@Mike_Jones68 I will update you on that after the 5th of Feb!
i really hope they have solved the cheap padding issues that have been in the first 3 series of Atlas helmets. they just need to improve the comfort and noise issues and quality of the foam on the inserts which was pure shite
It appears as though they have. I will confirm to what degree, once I can see the padding in person. P
Amazing video! I cant wait for the next one! I learned a lot 😊🥰

I can confirm at this point what you wouldn’t go wrong with getting a 4.0. You will be pleasantly surprised by it
@@ThePastaRocket I hope you are right in the event thaat I buy one. As I mentioned, I will wait for unbiased reviews from sources I am familiar with.
Where is @Ruroc
Here! 👋
@@Ruroc oh hey there! Greetings from Canada. I want to touch this new helmet! Cant wait!

Freaking awesome content, u guys should have at least 500k subs
Thanks. I’d be happy with 5000 right about now lol.
I remember the 2.0 being an absolute shit show for shipping as well... Come to think of it I actually never received my fog screen that goes inside the visor either
Did you contact them about that? You probably should! I think the lead times on the 4.0 will be better cause they are already produced I believe
Is there anyone with sportbike who owns that 4.0 Atlas ?
I was baited with that design but red alot of opinions on 3.0 that it's only fancy looking helmet without safety tests with quality of cheapest helmets.
I would be grateful for some opinions who really owns this
Does anyone know if the 4.0 internals will fit inside the 3.0 in order to upgrade?
As a follow up, I actually did confirm that apparently they will, however it would not offer the same benefits, as a lot of engineering changes have been done to the shell on the 4.0 that compliment the new padding and lining inside. Also it could throw the sizing out
@@ThePastaRocket as much as I find the Rheon tech a major benefit...I'm more so looking at upgrading the internals because of the cheek liner.
@@thatguymarimoto6299 agree with you here. Better fit and better foam inside the liners
@@thatguymarimoto6299 I had one person from Ruroc say they would fit theoretically, but they won’t be selling the padding on its own until the demand for the new helmet is met first as they have limited supply

感谢您的客气话! 我们将看看他们如何使用这个新产品。

Woohoo! Which bike are you interested in?
all good new but.. whyyyyy not double D lock? :/
That has been a feature of all of their helmets AFAIK, and it is awesome. I wish more manufacturers would do something similar.

I agree with you to some degree, but certain brands and products have their place. Sure, maybe they arent going to get used by GP riders, but I feel that enginehawk, ruroc, and RideRich are all brands that cater more to the casual/street rider, and there is nothing wrong with that.
