I’ll make sure to never take this thing apart again 😀
Me fucking too!! F
I purchased a helmet from Ruroc and was very excited about its delivery today. The packaging and the helmet itself looked very high-quality at first glance. However, I ran into problems when I had to change the visor and install the audio system. The visor didn't easily click into place as shown in the videos. The round plastic piece was so deformed that it was impossible to attach the visor. I had to use my mother's nail file and some WD-40 to finally get the visor on. The inner lining is easy to remove, but sometimes difficult to reattach properly. When I tried to test the audio system, one speaker didn't work, so I had to take everything apart again, etc.
I have to say, the helmet looks awesome and has a lot of potential, but it seems like they cut corners on materials. You can notice it in the small details when you really examine the helmet closely. I'm keeping it because I've already spent 3 hours trying to complete it, and I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it, etc. There are certainly other helmets in the same price range that offer higher quality.
Followed advice, ended up snapping the front of my liner, amazing
I literally just done the same thing
@user-wh4db4yi9z is it fully broken or somewhat salvageable? They are very very fragile
@@roadkill8161 I'm going to have to use superglue now to hold it the clip in place that is broken, also my shockwave is glitching I can't hear my Spotify on it and I've tinkered with my phone for hours not a good start
Dude same, mine broke at the clip so I can’t even put it back into place but the rest of it is good. Huge bummer for a new helmet
@Jaber1545 and for the price they cost you'd think they wouldn't be so delicate.
Once this helmet is due replacement I'm not getting another ruroc lol
Came here for the liner video but man tell me I'm not the only one who noticed that sweet red/blk EH jacket. I NEED ONE!!
I got myself an ATLAS 4.0 Track, Core Carbon, about a month ago, I used the helmet at first without changing the visor that was on it whenit arrived, or fitting the Shockwave, and I’ve got to say it is a very nice bit of kit. From receiving it and unpacking it, it simply looks and feels stunning.
Today I decided to try and fit both the different visor and the headphones, mic and Shockwave unit
Visor
Could not be simpler turn pull the screws out on both sides and off she pops. Fit the new visor the holes on both sides simply snap into place and the two plastic grommets/screws fit in and turn and that’s it done. I done this a few times, just to make sure I wasn’t just being lucky, and it worked every time.
Shockwave, headphones and mic
So, my chin guard wouldn’t come out, not matter I plodded on I managed to get the liner out half way, I couldn’t remove it from the top of the inside of the visor opening, so I just folded it out of the way whilst I fitted the headphones and mic, they velcro’d into place very easily and you can see the Velcro patches in the helmet so you know where they go. Not so easy plugging them in on either side (a wee tip use tweezers to hold and push them in, to get the snap you’re looking for).
Connected the shockwave unit into place (which I had already charged up and blue toothed to my android phone), put the helmet on and tried. WOW. I actually like the sound quality. Headed out on the bike (any excuse lol) and tried at speed, on my loud R1, I thought still a good sound and reasonable noise cancelling of bike, wind and traffic. Yet to try and answer the phone whilst riding, that will follow.
Definitely a good helmet, and I wouldn’t mark it down because of the problem getting the liner out. I think we’d all struggle with any make of helmet at first, I was being very careful this being brand new.
It's incredibly easy to remove and replace. No issues with the poppers either if you are careful vs just brute forcing it.
wondering why many people have trouble when getting these liners on and off, it's very easy to analyze the locations of the helmet's slots especially you already did this with a different various brands of helmet, not sure why people are getting really frustrated. had my 3.0 before and it was quick and easy (btw had to let it go too small for me). now I'm excited to get my hands on the 4.0 and hoping it fits me this time.
putting them on is very easy but the cheek pads do not lock easily, where you lock the chin guard and the cheek pad also locks, seeing it in the video seems child's play but doing it... no. The chin rest doesn't lock at all either, it fits into the slot but it's not easy to get it to catch the hook
@@W1nc3nt Just did it for the first time, I find the cheek locks and chin locks a disaster of a design but I finally got them in...the demonstration in this video is just a lie no way he locked his in.
@@Jaykav99 did you include the frontal chin as well? the cheeks are really a disaster, in the video it looks like a joke and instead to fit everything into the joint is hell!
Instantly broke the first popper on the very back with the first step.
I was extra careful after having read some comments...it really is way too fragile.
Luckily the rest of the poppers make sure the liner doesn't move and it's not too much of a problem.
Need a replacement for the top comfort inline for my atlas 1.0...mice have eaten mine.
Just received my loqid carbon altas 4 and I have to tell you the helmet is great !!! - byt the poppers you used are absolutele crap ... and I mean crap. I installed shockwave and the rear 3 poppers would not stay in place after I removed it to install the headset :((( It literally pops out in the back everytime Im putting the helmet on !!!!
Was a huge pain in the ass for me to remove the liner to install the speakers. Half the poppers came out of the liner and stayed in the helmet and it was a huge SOB trying to get them back into the liner. Then, the speaker wires to plug into the jacks... holy hell! my fingers are sore from trying to push them in. I had to push them in with needle nose pliers. All though the padding is good quality, after removing and putting it back in once I'm not sure about the quality on the rest of the stuff. The foam protection under the liner is crooked and slanted across the front of the helmet so it sticks out a bunch on one side of the forehead piece. After just snapping the forehead liner part out once it already is really lose after snapping it back in and has a big gap now since it's so lose even when snapped in. After removing the ear pads and chin curtain, I can tell the rubber lining around the bottom of the helmet is going to start to come off really soon. The rear popper comes out on it's own now after removing the liner just once. Can also tell the chin curtain is going to have issues staying attached as well. That top vent is hard as heck to open or close, I couldn't imagine trying to do it while riding with gloves... that goes for the chin vent too, heck can't even tell which way is open and which is closed anyways. The helmet comes with absolutely no instructions. I'm assuming it's because they want you to go to their website and watch their hundreds of how-to videos. The Shockwave doesn't even come with instructions on how to operate it. There isn't even a mention of the Chain app anywhere. That being said, the helmet looks really nice. I got the Mercury and it looks amazing. Though, it did take them 6 months(!) to ship it to me after ordering it at launch.
I feel you. One of my poppers completely snapped in half and I had to send my helmet back in for them to repair it. Just got it back in and I’m hoping all the poppers stay in place once I try to install the shockwave this time. My buddy ordered one the same time I did and once his came in the rubber lining under the Helmet was falling off already with zero use, straight out of the factory packaging. I love the look of the helmet, I’m just really worried about quality now, especially because of the price point at which we pay for them.
I have exactly the same problem, except that the rubber coating came right off and there is also a strong bulge in the plastic at the front of the headliner. I have rarely seen such poor quality. The tabs that are supposed to lock between the shell and the padding just don't lock in anymore. They keep slipping out. It's very sad that you can't send back such a low-quality helmet because you've ridden it for 15 minutes.
@@MisterReach one of the poppers broke in half when removing the liner had to send it back waiting for a replacement hopefully this doesn't happen again but it's happening to alot of people so clearly there's a design issue . This helmet is a pain in the ass I don't understand why they don't pre install the shockwave and save us the trouble .
@@Bendova215 me too i also asked the Support for doing it but they told its not possible. Maybe cause they know that the Comfort Liner is lose afterwards.
100% the video here is staged imo no way its that quick and simple , I'm a mechanical fitter and it took me 45mins to do the shockwave instal with pliers etc also this guys voice made me want to punch the screen
I don’t see that one on the site, is there going to be a new drop? 🤨
Hey, The new liners for ATLAS 4.0 are designed to be backwards compatible with the 3.0 helmet, but with this you would miss out on some of the key benefits of the step change in our technology. The other design upgrades we've made to the shell and interiors mean that to be the quietest and safest ATLAS ever it needs to be used as the fully integrated helmet. Our focus right now is on meeting the 4.0 demand, so we can't put any timeframes on when or if the 4.0 liners will be going on sale.
@@Ruroc fix the popper issue it's ridiculous for what you charge for this helmet that removing the liner breaks the poppers and why don't you guys install the shockwave with the helmet the visor the shockwave it was 800$ us and I have to install it come on.
The side popper broke by just removing the helmet from my face. I can't believe it at first especially when I just got it brand new yesterday. Superglued it back and all is good. Just never happened to my other helmets. So flimsy.
Impossible to replace it
Just got a 4.0 The pop on my chin is not working . It wont pop back in , very annoying
What’s the name of that jacket?
Engine hawk
I KNOW R!GHT, !M FEEL!NG
THAT....(((JACKET)))....(😍)
Wow..🔥💥
I can’t get the chin guard back in 😭😭😭
I cant put my chin part off is that normal ?
Literally me
Can you make the cheek pads ‘less’ padded? Mine seems too tight…
Maybe you order to small or just need to break in helmet
Hey mate I have the same issue but for some reason it fits really nice but the something seems to dig into the back of my head dont know if you have the same issue
Maybe over a little time they will loosen?
Same problem bro the helmet fits ok but the problem ir was when i take out the helmet bro
@@tomclements5320 my helmet makes my neck hurt. Might be too tight. Who knows
After a while I managed to install my shockwave fine and music plays, however when I put it on my head it instantly stops. Is anyone else having this problem?? Wld love to know how to get around this paying £75 for something that shld have come installed
Check your audio jacks I'm guessing one of them isn't plugged in properly
One of the clips broke when pulling it out, Already knew they where fragile so i was extra careful. Be aware 😁 Other than that i like it for now.
per me era da fare un sistema migliore per montare e smontare l’interno, la prima volta che mi è arrivato il casco mettendo dentro uno di quei fermi si è rotto, l’ho riportato, ho rifatto la stessa cosa è questo giro manca proprio un fermo…
This helmet lining is a fucking disaster. Hopefully the 5.0 will have ACTAUL good quality clips. My $100 Bilt helmet liners are more solid than this which is a disappointment. Considering I spent 6x more on this Ruroc helmet that I have now…
Really? Broke a clip and some poppers wont go back in tightly. They wiggle in and out. I was so gentle, its extremely frustrating having just spent $600 plus.
Why is the helmet so damn heavy?!? It comes in at 1700g compared to my ls2 at 1350. I can definitely feel that extra weight, I was expecting it to be fairly light what with all the carbon pattern 🤷🤦
This is a terrible tutorial video. It keeps switching camera angles and doesn’t even show you how to properly do certain things
Install tutorial was a joke
I found it extremely difficult to get chin curtain off in fact i didn't as it felty like it was stuck and would tear , also getting the cheack pads to go back in the same spot was also extremely awkward and annoying took me 1/2 hour nothing like this video , also show the bloody helmet and what he's doing not this guys face so we can see , it all in all a crap informational video you could do way better
It that liner compatible with the 3.0
Looks like it.
I can’t wait if they release the padding separately
@@SLIGHT_ I believe they said it is but because it's so much thicker it changes the sizing of the helmet required to make it fit similarly. A lot of people who had a 3.0 and got a 4.0 have found they had to go up a size to get the proper fit.
@@YoloVib3s understood, I’ve seen this as well. I believe the question was if the padding from the 4 will work in the 3… from what I’ve seen the answer is yes… but Ruroc has not released this padding as they’re focused on filling the atlas 4 orders first. Completely understand this. Just hoping they release the padding soon. Would love the upgrade to my smiler.
