Wow not gonna lie, I assumed anything "Tomei" would be loud and obnoxious. This is the total opposite and sounds really nice.
That was always my understanding too, with Tomei exhaust systems in the past. They were known to be the loudest exhaust you could buy for a Skyline GTR. Tomei nail it with this one, sounds perfect to what I like. Thanks for watching.

Sounds mean! The biggest concern with these exhausts (aside from drone) is the loudness at cold start. I'm on a "smile and wave" basis with my neighbors and would like to keep it that way haha.
As far as how loud the cold start with the Tomei is? I would say it is very similar to the stock exhaust at idle, but at cold start it's definitely a little loud, but not excessive. I know the feeling, I start my car at 5 am for work in the morning. I always quickly put it into 1st and start to drive asap to keep the sound down for my neighbors and everyone who is still sleeping. That 1800rpm idle cold start makes some noise. No drone what so ever with this set up.

@@JDMRightHandDrive Hey quick one here, I have been looking at all the posted and pics of the exhaust on the car and it seems to stick a bit further out then the noble you had on before. I’m going back and forth between the two, any thoughts on if you can get that tip closer to the opening? Or the way yours is sitting is tucked up?

@JDMRightHandDrive The pads are the SSM+ and front DBA T3 rotors , a world of difference from the factory pads, which I think are dangerous for our cars. The Levorg is awesome but CVT only, so that means no more than 400nm /300 ft pounds of max torque. So I'm concentrating on Wheels and Suspension. I did the speakers thanks to you last year, went with the JL Audio C1s.

Yeah that house by the post office is interesting. I ran into this guy a few years at Fred Meyer once while driving my R32 GTR and he wanted to race me with his R33. His rear quarter panel was damaged from an accident back then and still has not been repaired and was rusting pretty bad last time I saw his car. Makes me sad for sure, but I can appreciate his passion for the JDM cars he has. I have not tried the meatball and beef noodle soup yet. I will try it next week on my days off. Hey I just put this on my car and upon start up there’s a clicking noise coming from underneath, so idk if it’s an exhaust leak or what? How are you able to tell? Also are you supposed to use a cat back adapter for this or just the stuff that comes with the exhaust? Cause I didn’t use an adapter. And one thing I used when tightening the bolts on the midpipe to cat, is the bolts are fully tightened but it isn’t a complete seal with eachother? Thank you

5:48 I'm sorry but I'm taking anything Mine's makes over Tomei especially that strut tower brace. The Tomei stuff is pretty good for the price but that weld comparison doesn't mean much when one is clearly a quality piece done by hand and the other is ground down thin titanium welded largely by machine lol. That exhaust sounds pretty good though, I like the tone a lot.

How much quieter is it than the noble? That’s what I currently have and cold start is pretty loud
The cold start is significantly quieter with the Tomei, I would guess its 3db less loud over the Noble. I will have to order a DB meter and test what the cold start volume is. The Tomei on the freeway is so quiet now that I can hear the wind noise and road noise from the tires over the exhaust now. Good question, thanks for watching.
Would you recommend an exhaust adapter for this or is it not necessary recently got one just curious
From solely a aesthetic view, I am not a fan of the single exit on the 22+ WRX. IMHO Looks funny with the one side having a exhaust and the other with nothing, exposing the exhaust cut out on the passenger side. Nor do I like the single exit tip. I personally will be looking a dual exit quad tip when I am ready to upgrade. I don't care about how much less weight, power or less drone as single exit may have. But As you said. its everyone personal preference and I like look of quad tip. Just saying lol. Nice vide as always!

how does this compare to the AWE touring? I have that exhaust and it sounds pretty similar based off this videos sound clips
I never installed the AWE exhaust that was sent to me for free. That exhaust system had so many issues out of the box. The mufflers didn't match, one looked new and one looked all rusty. Quad tips would not fit on mufflers without internal wielding marks being ground down on the inside to slip over. Mufflers were all scratched up like they were slid across a metal work table while being built. Plus mufflers were covered with tons of wielding splatter. Even though this exhaust was sent to me for free, it had lots of issues. I asked AWE to send me matching mufflers that don't look like they came from a junk yard. I told them that I was going to give an honest review and show what I am seeing with their product. They said they would send me a new exhaust and that it would be in new condition. So I sent back the exhaust to AWE and never received another one. I filmed the unboxing and showing how bad the system arrived out of the box, but never did anything with the video. I never installed the exhaust, I wish I would have, so I could have listed to the exhaust note for myself. I know that the AWE exhaust is supposed to have one the the best sounds. It was very heavy though at 55 pounds. I never finished making this review because I could not recommend something I wouldn't buy for myself.
i have both awe touring and track (conversion kit), I may get this and report back to you if you don't already get one.

STi performance muffler or Tomei Titanium?
Newbie question lol 😅
My friend owns a 2022 Limited with the STI mufflers. The STI axle back connects to the stock mid pipe. This means that its a tiny 1.5 inch pipe into the STI muffler section. I test drove the car and the STI mufflers kind of have a drone note in my opinion. I would still go with the Tomei set up. Its lighter and sounds much better. Good question and thanks for watching.
For anyone wondering.. I have this on my 23 VB and the sound is way better than what the camera picks up. No drone at all.. super nice tone.. expensive yes, but worth it if you want to buy one exhaust system and leave it for the life of the car, or your ownership.
Thank you for this comment about the exhaust. I’m considering more than any other catback. I’ve got a remark boso axleback (looks amazing) and the drone is pretty crazy…. Definitely looking forward to an upgrade.

So I’ve had 3 prior tomeis on 3 separate ej wrxs and it was awesome and sounded so good but always was quite with the stock downpipe/headers. On my current vb I have a remark muffler delete and it has a lot better volume obviously since no mufflers but I really want the tomei on the vb but I’m conflicted because I don’t want it to be as quite as I’m assuming it will be. I really like the volume on the remarks, do you know how much quieter the tomei is vs a muffler delete?
Totally agree with everything you said with your overall impressions for the Tomei exhaust. This really is the best VB WRX exhaust I have seen, not only the looks, built quality, but the sound is epic. Glad you love it as much as I do, thanks for watching.
is it just me or does the exhaust hit a bolt by the heat shield over bumps?
My Tomei exhaust had tons of room everywhere and does not contact or hit anything. You just might need to adjust yours again. Hope that gets your fixed. Thanks for watching.

Those are GR STI wheels. Nice forged BBS 18x8.5. I also have a set of Volk CE28's that I run 18x9+35

At idle it sounds stock, but when you get on throttle you can definitely tell is not stock. Quite a bit louder, but not obnoxious with the added benefit that titanium produces a unique exhaust tone over stainless steel.
