Dave, I was running with a guy waaaaaay back in the early 2000's when we ran the Nascar sim. So, two guys that showed up the 2nd day in 1997 became 2 great friends. So it took us a couple of days to figure out how to navigate and we raced for over a week before we found out what LPI was. So we would take turns showing new guys that showed up how to navigate and we helped hundreds of guys get started. So I befriended this guy and he said he raced for real, in IMSA which is a group here in the states. I wish I knew who the hell he was but he took me out to Watkins Glen and taught me a few things on how you need to address each corner. So I'll throw one of the main things he taught me that made me faster once I mastered it. So If you know this I'm sorry for wasting your time....... ok... when you are hard on the brakes approaching a corner you want to get off the brakes and power thru the corner.. you will also have to learn not to spin the car out when you come off the apex of each corner with the power on !!! so..... don't turn the car until you are off the brake pedal and once you get it to be second nature you will say.... damn... I wish I knew this earlier. I am no expert road racer but I cut significant time off my lap time. Hard on the brakes.... release the brake pedal.....grab some throttle when you make your break for the apex and be mind full of the car changing the weight from side to die and front to back. That is called the "polar moment" and the weight transfer can catch you when you transition out of each corner and you will spin out until you really get a feel for it...... Let me know if this helps at all..... Also wheel lock can play a roll in scrubbing speed off without you realizing it. Peace

Love the new era of simracing where you dont need to sell a kidney to afford good online racing! Keep ut the rf2 content, loving it.
If you have good settings for the CSL DD for this sim, I’d love to see them. I always hear about how great the FFB is with rF2 but I can’t seem to get it to feel right. No curb feel, no front traction resistance. I’ve tried Fanatec recommended and some others on Reddit. This sim just feels weird to me, almost like the FFB is reacting opposite of what it should be. Please share! 🙏
Is it the force feedback strenght ? Sometimes you need to switch between positive or negative value.
@@maxmesker562 It’s not, I’ve tried both ways. As well as Linear mode. Nothing feels right. :(
I see you got the overlay sorted! Another good finish but why does the race creator love overcasts :D
Why the heck is the wheel blurred?
I Dave , i have problems with my Simcube 2 Pro on rf2; the steering angle ist not matching what my wheel does in real life. Can you tell me how to solve this ? A lot of people have this problem
Each car uses a specific wheel rotation. This can be changed in the setup/garage section 👍
Well well well what ever could that wheel be
Any idea's?
the flasher is a plugin for simhub you can use
What’s in your PC because I can’t see it linked anywhere in the description?
Wich RF2 Hud do you use in the video?
That Vette dressed LMP2 was trippy, eh?
rfactor things lol 😬
Good race Dave!
I find the corvette so unstable where as the Porsche i run on 1 wing and it is a monster down the straights and fast enough in the corners
Hey Dave, I recently got a powerful computer for the very first time after using an Xbox for many years. I played the AMS2 demo with my wheel and LOVED it. I will get into Iracing later once I get a better job but what titles are a must for right now?
iRacing is all you need really. Everything works nice and smooth. No issues.
@@VishnuRajam4x4 only thing holding me back is cost... I have no problem with buying cars and tracks but the subscription service I feel like will add up quick
Rfactor 2 best ffb best physics best tyre model laser scanner tracks. Real road 2.0
Asetek DD ?
What about car setups? Are there setup shops for RF2?
why is your wheel blurred out?
Dave, why we cannot see your steering wheel ?
Why is no one talking about the secret wheel blur on Dave's rig? WHat could it be?
Is he?! 👀👀
Sponsor and business reason.
Maybe asetek??? ;-) asking for a friend 😂
Hey Dave! What hud and overlays are you using?
Just waiting for dlc to go on sale 👍🏾
Why's the wheel blurred?
As much as I hate paying for iRacing. There is no sun to match it. ACC is close but the content is no where near the depth of Iracings library
It's not E-L-O rating, but "Elo" rating, actually referring to it's inventor, Árpad Elo.
Hi, I'm having trouble getting this game to run smoothly. Could you tell us your video settings in game?
Dave, how are the servers populated racing on LFM? The only thing that keeps me away from RF2 is the multiplayer, but I believe this could be the closest to iRacing once ACC only has the GT classes.
Cheers!
Pretty much every race I've been in has split 👍
can somebody explain me whats that guy from pits that says cler lef right and other i hear it iun iracing too its a mod or ingames
It's a program called crew chief 👍
@@davecamyt thanks dave ;))
Oh, come on, get that TinyPedal overlay!
So the Corvette LMP is a Daytona Prototype
I really miss real time tire data in iracing. not sure why they didnt implement that so far, it would be so much better for learning how to care about your tires. I know you can do a lot of training, but having realtime feedback would be so much better for beginners. Even if they would just provide it in practice sessions
I think it's for realism and stop other drivers stealing your data.
@@PhilDiasPJD ull never know tire wear as a driver until you feel change...or hit pits...one day cameras may judge tirewear inside your wheel well or something but for now... haha
Source of overlays? In game or 3rd party?
Hi Dave. Curious about why your steering wheel is blurred? Thx
I mention why in the intro 👍
How does rF2 content work? Do I have to buy an entire endurance pack to race in events such as this, or only the car I intend to drive?
Yes unfortunately you have to buy it all 😞
@@davecamyt That's a shame... I don't know why they're even offering individual car purchases when that is the case.
I bet it's the new asetek. Or Gomez???
You've gotta try out the 488 GTE soon!
Not enough race sessions at the moment
Peace
Why is his steering wheel blur?
Loving the new Rucksack DD
lol
Dave with the wheel blurred out, I see you're testing something special
And something tells me one of the critiques he'll have is that the pit speed limiter is too easy to actuate.
