I just did my car the other day with same results. Streaks everywhere. I followed directions to the letter; washed x2 with scotchbrite, cleaned x2 with degrease, applied qickly, in straight lines with minimal overlap and its the streak-est sh*t ever. They advised that i wet sand & reapply. Im just going to wet sand and go a different route
I think that was black paint coming off. Same thing happened in my case except the car was red. The stuff dries soooo quick even at surface temp of 60 in the shade. Streaks everywhere. Wet sanding now and will attempt to spray a second coat. I think the wipe on application is much more temperamental than advertised and the type and condition of the paint you are clearing makes a difference.
Before you even started I saw you taped everything off but hadn't prepped the paint first, if you had you could have laid it thicker. Your first coat was way too lite, hopefully you put it on thicker the second coat. Sweet looking ride, you looked nervous as crap wiping that stuff on.
I had the exact same issue using the gelcoat product. Streaks everywhere. Ended up sanding it off and painting Plus the can arrived damaged and leaked a little in the box.
I had the exact same experience with this stuff, and the applicator they provided is garbage and leaves lint behind. I had to scuff mine down and reapply it 3 times before I got it to look halfway decent. The terry cloth applicators from autozone are much better. Also, I am pretty sure most of the cars in their adds have been sprayed, not wiped…..spraying kinda defeats the purpose and I am sure the majority of their customers are after a simple wipe on application.
I'd spray it.. even outside you'll get a better result. Harbor Freight has cheap guns and your outcome will be more satisfying... Still.. it doesn't look that bad.. another coat or two and it might be ok.
@@ThatDaveGuy77 so how was it supposed to be put on?, we did a test on our truck at a very good detail shop & were very diligent in prep and followed videos to the letter , & it turned out the same way. For the price and the amount of prep we did, not impressed yet, we will try again .

Cleaning it first would've probably helped. Lol. If it was clean, you wouldn't have all the dirt on your sponge.
Don’t worry it was clean

A lot of ppl said I didn’t prep it properly. But they obviously can’t see that this is part two. part one was prep

O no. 😢
Same results :(
Foor what? Im thinking of trying something like this
Hammer on the boiled linseed oil
Not worth it at all. I use regular clear coat over patina and get much better results.
Looks like you are wiping it off most of the time. Watch other videos of the application you did it wrong.
I was thinking the same, put it on way to thin and was wiping a lot off

Wasn’t clean everything looks good after poppy’s have to prep before you trash a product
It was prepped right
Yea it sucks bad I made them give me a refund
You are trashing a product that you applied incorrectly. I saw your comments that you followed the instructions, but your video shows otherwise…
How does it show otherwise? It was prepared and cleaned. A bunch of ppl have had the some bad experience as me.
