Your first time thoughts are the same thoughts I had when I first used it. Once you get used to it, you won’t be able to go back. The customization options are fantastic. Faders feel cheap but the pros far outweigh the cons. Congrats on the purchase. Can’t wait to see what you do with it.
I’ve been waiting on a case for mine, I’ve considered getting something like a rack mount m32r case with a 4u rack underneath to have some space and see if it’ll fit in that. But i haven’t bit the bullet yet

I'm a x32 owner. I want to get one of these. I love the fact it has the neutrik connection to bypass the preamps if you have external ones. The scene looks dope. I assign things to dca groups and ride the faders from there!!! Now thy take time to setup I installed one in a studio and church the previous console but they're good!!!
Having messed with a full size wing, I feel that the color bar thing at the top of each channel isn't enough for me. I haven't actually mixed on one, just set one up, but I would prefer if there was more of an identifying thing for each channel. Maybe if the screen had an RGB backlight like the x32.
Yes I do like the x32/m32 backlit ch lables better but, a lot of mixers do this. I'm sure they figured a 10inch touch screen would make up for it. It bothered me during set up but once I started mixing I didn't really notice it.

I see all to many people leave the factory peels on that are supposed to be ripped off instead of buying actual custom made screen protectors it drives me insane 🤣, Althou i still see the people around the screen and the segment displays thou but oh well. And yes i would love to see a kinda HD96 comapct typa console that would be awsome
@DCAVL its not always there is like stuff that comes directly from the manufacturer. But if u were to put screen protectors on stuff like ud usualy order custom made onces for em. Plenty of brands that do custom size screen protectors
I guess it's so customizable that you can put your master fader on the left and put a couple of dca's after that couple of subgroups and then channels one and two all the way on the right going the opposite direction just for lefties and for fun. Lol Did you have to patch your channels where you wanted them or is it 1 to 1 when you just plug in to the back I/O?
There is a learning curve on this butI quite disagree on if youre new to sound that this isnt for you. Bruh there are many online tutorials on how to get this setup and running..this is literally how i got to learn this and it took a few hrs to figure it all out
What’s your real honest opinion about the wing compact. Are you now going to buy a digital stage box or still run your wires all separate. I want to see more on this.
I'm holding off on the stage box for now. I want to see what the used market does over winter. I got this mixer becuase it has the built in preamps. So in really really small gigs I'll use this close to stage and run lines. Ipad out front. Then If I'm on a bigger gig I'll use what ever preamps are best that day. Looking for like a DL251 to run with it or something similar. Thats why I got this mixer because I have s16 stageboxes I could use and I have M32 I could connect to. So rightnow most of the time I'll just run a copper snake or put the mixer side stage. That might change over winter. Thanks for watching! I'll do some more videos on it soon.
I wasn’t a fan when I first mixed on a wing.. just seemed real chaotic workflow wise. On a random note where are you from? We’re based out of Indianapolis

I'm sure x32 users will start to switch and I do think it's worth it. The Wing is just different enough from other consoles to be kind of a pain to use at first. The custom features might be enough to get a m32r guy to switch I think. I'm out of Terre Haute IN and mix in Indy all the time!
just wish the console was released 2 months ago since it missed all of the last festival shows and will not be as useful in the winter. Not sure why only influencers are getting first dibs on this as the public have waited a long time for a new console from music group
Yeah, I wish they had this out earlier this year. I wish I had more time on it this festival season. I just got lucky and got the very first batch of these from my supplier. I’m sure the timing was on purpose, as a lot of people aren't going to change mixers in the middle of a season. So I’m sure they did this knowing most people will pick one up over winter and prep for next year's festival season. Thanks for watching man.

Show setup for a new band would be great. Include simple live stage for a four piece band. Something simple....

Yeah we will see how this effects our industry overall. Most of what we use does come out of China.
