    Hey bro, I watched WSS show in Indonesia and I saw you in the back of FOH doing the mix. And I have to tell you that it was the best mix I've ever heard, the sound balanced really well, the vocals and all the instruments mixed really good!!!

    I’m not saying that you’re wrong for what you’re doing. But it’s a great video to learn where things are. For me I need to hear the full band or music to make drastic changes like this.

    I'm studying audio engineering right now at SAE Institute, and you're one of my biggest inspirations since I want to be at FOH (I just want to let you know I'm from Mexico, in case I'm saying something weird, still learning about english)

    Lovely video, one small tip: by default, "auto env" is turned "on" for the compressor. When it's turned on, the envelope parameters don't do anything. Something really annoying, I always turn it off when turning on the compressor insert.

    Re:overheads. Why not make use of the Wings ability to have every channel as stereo or mono? It still takes up 2 inputs but you can link those inputs and then just use one fader. Every fader has the ability to run in mono or stereo.

    • @sukoonsirfsukoon
      @sukoonsirfsukoon หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      only case is when you want to delay differently to overheads, some do that, as per rule it is equidistant from snare and stereo channel is a boon in wing line mixers

    • @adamrogers8266
      @adamrogers8266 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      This is the reason I don’t like mine, I need to delay them separately and might have to flip the phase on one side…
      Keep the stereo linking for tracks n stuff

    • @MySuperAnt
      @MySuperAnt หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course, I didn’t think about delaying separately.

      @ super, it would be interesting to see the installation of the wsg-AOip card inside the mixer. Or did you buy a mixer with it already built in?

    Curious, what do you think of he Wing Compact over the Midas M32R? Obviously, touch screen on the Wing is cool, but I kinda have the M32 functionality in muscle memory. You get more fader real estate on the M32R, but I'm assuming the Wing interface has a few tricks up its sleeve? I mainly mix theatre productions, so DCA mixing is my go to [of which the Wing has 12 - but 8 is my preferred state in the heat of the moment]. I have to admit that the Wing form factor is attractive. I probably need to check one out in the flesh. I've been watching your content for a while now, and it's always top tier. 😊
