I kind of wish you'd mentioned their ending in the series because at the very end they stopped being villains altogether because they were given the resources they need to perform their experiments in peace and actually became a force for good on Earth
I dont even understand why they are bad guys to begin with. They seem to be pretty Funny and Chill even showing sympathy for Robot. Makes no Sense to me other than the writer wanted it to happen.

which possibly leads to them hating and goes against the government/society as they think what they are doing is right, as well as the fact that they need money and tool for their research which they can’t obtain legally without the government funding so they turns to crime for the technology and tools they need
so at the end when they are allowed to do their research with funding they just don’t have a reason to fight anymore

Unlike the Maulers who are smarter and have both brains and brawn. Unlike the Vreedles. Octagon has the supposed brains and Boid has the strength. Sooooo really good thing the Maulers don’t have this unfortunate downside of decreased intellect
I love how the Mauler Twins tick every box on the "Big Dumb muscle dudes" checklist but you could legit argue their intelect and scientific skills are their true superpower.
I would bet the og Mauler was the typical scrawny priffesor guy but his knowledge in biology made it easy for him to create basicaly a super soldier serum
Their intellect isn't like Robot's (although he is a super genius, so it's pretty unfair to compare them), but they are probably the 2nd smartest people we see. And I refer to both because the cloning process doesn't actually decrease their intelligence like they think it does
@@bradleybarnett1469 i like to think that though they're not as smart as robot, they're far more knowledgable in other fields mainly cloning and i think more of genetics stuff, i mean that's why robot enlisted their help for cloning a young rex in the first place

The Mauler Twins are a pair of classic villains. They are perfect for a repeating comic series, where you can even brutally kill them and have them show up again. "You already killed a pair of Mauler Twins? You must have mistaken those inferior clones for the genuine item."
When the one twin teared up at robots goodbye to himself that got me. Love these two.

These guys were easily the best part of season 1 for me. It already seems like there's some differences between the comic and the show, like the guardians actually putting up a fight against Omni-Man instead of him killing him before they could even see him, so I really hope they get more of a chance to shine.
It's a stupid change for stupid meat head audiences that just want fight scenes no matter how non-sense it is.
But just so you know, there is an alternate timeline where Mark warned them about Omni-man and together they are able to capture him with no casualty. That is precisely why the fight never happen in the original timeline, Omni-man knew the risk of fighting them head-on so he gave them no chance to fight back.

But the actual reason he killed them is because they actually posed a threat to him. I don't care that he blitzed them in the comics, that doesn't happen in the show.

They really can’t kill off the Mauler twins. Their humor is just too good in the series along with that running joke about being the clone. I haven’t read the comics, (just picked up the Compilation #1 yesterday) but I love them in the Prime series
The mauler twins are sort of like Bain from dc. Both are big and incredibly strong, while their real best attributes are being smart.
And similar to Bane's original Silver Age incarnation, they eventually have a reformation. Though the Mauler Twins' thankfully sticks.

Hey bud love the comics and your channel binged everything so far, I think you missed single panel in the final few chapters where they essentially turn into “good guys” and are seen helping clear the rubble with small drones. They’re reformation was due to the actions of robot after he took control and made utopia

I found them realy interesting in the show and i liked their dynamic, all everything about "No one can know who the real mauler is" and that neither of them should know either.

Cuz I remember clearly as day in one volume of the comic, we saw an aftermath of a fight with the mauler twins, helping the hero cleaning the debris saying something like they’re done with doing harm and they’re gonna do better for the earth and redeem the self for their past or somethin. I adore these two. Best duo ever. They never stroke me as evil-evil, wondered what they were gonna do in their promised no-hero dimension reward from Levi.
I kind of really hated it when Oliver killed both maulers. Thayer a multifaceted villian with motives and ideas that keep everything interesting. I really wish they continued through the series.

As a relentless self improver I fuckin love Maulers character as a whole and the king mauler arc being 4 pages is picture perfect. By giving himself a second mind and body Mauler is constantly challenging Mauler and demanding better from himself not to mention it certainly helps explain his confidence no time for metaphorical arguments with yourself and your doubts when you are constantly quite literally arguing with yourself

Kind of interesting that the show did the Robot clone thing first before the reviving The Immortal but I guess it helped establish where they got that collar
i'd actually hire the twins if i was Cecil and i'd give them a budget and a personally facility under 3 conditions they're can only be two of them, they have to help with repelling invasions, and if they don't do anything that'll endanger the planet then they'll have free reign to do what ever the hell they want. And if they break any of the conditions then i'll teleport or use what ever that device Cecil uses to travel and send a Kaiju to them next time they're in there

The Maulers and Battle Beast are my favorite characters in the series. I like The Immortal’s abilities, but not necessarily him as a character. He gets killed way too often.
Their reaction to the Immortal waking up made me laugh.
Unsurprised if there were not a Mauler clone in stasis in a pod, if not more than one, wi-fi linked to the existing ones, to activate and wake him if the active ones lose life signs.

7:17 hm I’d say they most likely raised the baby maulers and gave them lots of love. After all, those kids would grow up being just as strong and just as smart as the Maulers, so it’s best to raise them and give them their own unique personality traits and make use of the situation.

why did no one ever try to revive Immortal except for the Twins? like surely Cecil would've tried everything like he does with getting Mark nursed back to health from the brink of death? It's either a plot hole made for the purpose of involving the Twins... or shitty writing
I always thought it was because cecil had no idea where his head was.
I wouldn't be surprised if Cecil simply deemed Immortal unimportant in the grand scheme of things and reviving him would ultimately just be a waste of time and resources.
I like the mauler twins they are some of my favorite characters all they want to do is there experiments and be left alone
Wait, so the gardians of the globe mysteriously die then two highly dangerous supervillains show up at their funeral, and everybody is like: "Oh, how nice of you to show your respects. Its kinda funny at first you can tell who the original mauler is cause of the nose ring
I think the whole "not knowing who the clone is" is dumb because, on the physical side, if what the machine does is copy/transfers one's mind to another body, in the Mauler Twins case an identical body, if I as the "Cloner" set the new body down on the table to the "right-side" of the machine and I lay on the "left-side" of the machine, then clearly my copied/transferred mind waking up on the right-side bed/table should know they are in the cloned body.
On the mental side, if these machines copy/transfer minds all SOMA-style, then they should understand that the feeling of continuance is so surreal that they should just come to the agreement that this "who is the clone" should not be a topic of discussion that they should dwell on for too long.
Still very cool concept and characters.
