Michael Giacchino is becoming the king of scoring modern comic-book movies and I am here for it.
I love how they leaned into the old comic book style rather than try and modernize it or make "dark". It doesn't look cheesy. Stoked to see it!

For everyone asking why Galactus is tiny. It's because he have another power called "Size Alteration" meaning that he can change size of himself.

I think, I have to take myself to the movie theatre to watch this movie. I´m just 60 years young, but I read all the comics in the 70´s and it seems, this version will be the winner.
You may not read comics any more, but the present, Ryan North run is…FANTASTIC??? It really is. He’s found new spins on their powers, and kept the family’ aspect.

@@jtbacca2392 Fan4stic was proof of that. Even the films Director Josh Trank on the eve of it’s Premier publicly denounce the film saying this was the studios film not his. Fox made the film just so they can retain the rights of the fantastic four keeping the IP from going back to Marvel (pre Disney buy) which would’ve happened 10 years ago.

Very evident by the fact that we see Ben in his rock form, watching an old tv recording of him when he wasn’t in rock form. Like, use your brain, bud.

Stan Lee regarded the Fantastic Four as his greatest creation and often expressed his wish that he had lived to see a film adaptation that truly captured or even surpassed the brilliance of the original comics. Now that he's gone I still hope that marvel at least finally did it with this one, fingers crossed.
I love the 60s aesthetics, regrettably, I won't be watching this either way, because movies today suck.

i think it’s so cool that one of the scores michael giacchino did that made him so popular was for the incredibles movie, which was obviously based on the fantastic 4….and now he’s doing the score for THE fantastic 4 movie we’ve all been waiting for. full circle at its finest.

One of his first major compositions was for the PS1/Saturn game of The Lost World: Jurassic Park which was incredible and been a fan of him ever since.
Shame it turns into the exact same score from every other Marvel movie halfway through the trailer.

A deceased family member of mine loved Marvel in general but the Fantastic Four was always one of his favorites. I'll be sure to watch this in theaters in memory of him.
It's a shame it took Marvel THIS long to make an actual good Fantastic Four film... At least this one looks like it will be pretty good.

There'll still be jokes in the film for sure but it shouldn't cut off emotional moments and should be placed at the right moments. The CGI's looking good too which is great seeing as this film did not undergo many rewrites and reshoots. Count me excited and optimistic. Let's go!

About to turn 62 and astonished to have the opportunity to see the King Kirby's & Stan's mythos finally take stage with movie magic will be simply wondrous. Is anyone glad that Galactus isn't just a "Universal Cloud" like he was in the other Universe (Old Movie) in space, or is it just me? FINALLY Galactus looks exactly the way he does in comics. This will be interesting to see being pulled off.

I feel like they were trying to treat the cloud as if it was Galactus’s “mothership” kinda thing and he was just within it. But, you see him plain as day inside of it. Just…not him entirely lol.
I'm not even a big comic fan, but I am stoked for this. It evoked a giddiness and awe that I haven't felt from the MCU for awhile.

Everything seems great aside from the abhorrent casting choices... we don't know about the writing yet. It looks ridiculous with latino grandpa padro, instagram mommy, and the zuck as flame boy
marvel has sucked recently, and this won't be the second coming of deadpool 3, but after the last 2 fantastic 4 movie continuities sucked, this really looks like 3rd time's the charm...hopefully.

Oh, that cloud! I was so furious. Even worse were all the people saying that the fanboys should shut up, because filmgoers would never accept a "giant purple robot". That he HAD to be a cloud. Probably the same people who are pushing for the Surfer to be a woman now, and that the comic book fans should be ignored.

FINALLY, it seems we will have Galactus looking like Galactus.
This feels like one of the most sincere attempt by Marvel Studios in a long time. The production looks so creative and genuine. This is going to be very very exciting and a very genuine superhero film.
For people wondering will Marvel ever make serious movies? It does not need to be serious. Superheroes do not need to have extreme jokes or extreme darkness. Just be sincere and I cannot stress enough the word "Sincere" which filmmakers and audiences have also forgotten, most of them. If the film is sincere enough its going to look genuine in its production, genuine in its character interaction even if it is for split seconds.
Visual effects, a big epic showdown mess, and sassy dialogues don't account for much. Sincerity in creating a craft is everything. And looks like Fantastic 4 first steps has that sincere approach in its writing, character interactions, costumes, and set design and I hope many more things when the film comes out.
I hope this comment ages well cause I surely have high hopes for this film. Kudos to Matt Shakman.

@@tacocats2244 My biggest argument is this is that many movies people think aren't "superhero" movies are. People enjoy films which have characters who are far more competent than most people are in real life whether that be stronger, deadlier, funnier or more charming. John Wick 4 did amazing despite superhero fatigue even though his abilities classify him as superhuman.
That’s always been the fatigue killer. Too many great stories from the comics that can be adapted on the big screen.
I disagree there. "Like the comics" could mean anything good and anything bad. There's LOTS of trash among comic stories and ideas.
