I'm sure this works if you're over weight, which all information about diabetes is about. But what if your under weight? Just got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The problem is I'm underweight and need to gain weight, which is hard without carbs. So How can I gain the 16kg of muscle mass I need to regain a healthy bmi and still reverse the disease?
Instead of your discourse it is better to write the fasing time and whether to take medicines during fasting, time . We are in kerala our lounge is malayalam
Dear Doctor's Berry & Fung, I am a 74 year old obese man who had Type 2 diabetes for just over 25 years, I was taking Metformin for 15 years then it was upped Metformin+ Gliclazide for the last 10 years.. Two years ago I saw your video about reversing Diabetes with a low carb diet. I went on a less than 75 grams of carbs a day ( not keto ) ate more vegetables & proteins and went from 344 pounds to 250 pounds in 1 year, my A1c went from 7.5 to 5.1, and I tracked my fasting glucose every day and averaged 85... I feel 100% better, mind clearer, skin tags disappeared ,sleep better and feel like I am 40 years old again.. I believe my life has been saved by you two and I feel I could live to be at least 100 years young... I also feel it is not a " diet " but a change of life eating pattern one has to adapt to.. Again , thank you for showing me the way to live a happy, healthy life...Rick...
Hi Rick I hope you’re well. I feel like your story is similar to my mum’s. Please reply to me if you could. How did you address the medication during your recovery? Did you keep taking it or did you taper it? Are you still taking it now? I want to help my mum and I understand the low carb and how it works but I’m not sure how to combine it with the meds and because there’s no real info about it, I would be interested in knowing what you did. Thank you in advance
@@yoursugarismine I was on my reduced carb diet and still taking the Metformin, I was awakened at 3 AM sweating and feeling goofy, I stopped taking the meds that day, My fasting numbers stayed at 85, I did my test the other morning and it was 79. After a second A1c test it has remained at 5.1 for over a year now. I have not taken any meds for over 2 years now. Good luck to your mom... Rick
@@rickecheverria8052 thank you so much for the reply and good wishes. I think maybe the sweating that night was hypoglycaemia kicking in? I’m glad to hear you’re doing well and I will try to change my mum’s habits because I would like her off the meds so much as they’re causing all sort of side effects and I want her well. Thank you again xxx
When my doctor diagnosed me with type two he told me to cut out adding sugar... that was his advice. As well I cut my carbs, all white bread, soda, rice it was a lot of suffering but I dropped 30 pounds in three months my doctor was shocked upon my return and declared My bloodwork showed I was now pre-diabetic having reversed the original diagnosis. Keep it up everybody put the work in it involves suffering I love my carbs/sugar but she was bad for me and we had to part ways
@@tomikastewart6515 Sorry to hear Tomika. You essentially need to do your best to eliminate processed foods from your diet (best way is not to have any in your house). I would also like to refer you to the other side of this diabetes reversal topic, which is completely opposite to what Dr. Fung teaches and that is a low fat plant based diet. Both strategies work to reverse diabetes, however the science points to better health outcomes and longevity when consuming whole plant foods low in fat. Check out the below link below to learn more on this topic so you can be well informed on both approaches and make a better decision for your health. Stay strong! th-cam.com/video/5KWAgKR9JBE/w-d-xo.html
@@tomikastewart6515 intermittent fasting. Start slowly with 14 hours fast. When get used to it , allow a couple weeks then move to 16 hours up to 24. One meal a day. I would do 16 or 18 hours to be safe. Intermittent fasting help you to lose weight fast. That's safe and very effective. Eating a good diet and walking at least half to one hour a day for optimal benefits. We need exercise to stay healthy and it's a contribution of everything. Good luck.
@@tomikastewart6515 I’m in my 7th day of Intermittent Fasting ( 16:8 ) and I’ve already lose 3 pounds. It’s really working for me. So if I keep losing 3 pounds every week means I’m gonna lose 12 pounds in a month! It needs a strong determination, focus, a good plan for your meals ( planning ahead what to eat really helps ), commitment and support from my family and friends. Hope this helps. Good luck! We can do it

My oldest son is in his early 20's and he has type 1 diabetes. But thank God for this piece of article th-cam.com/users/postUgkxVYhghKWmrUgXARZ_ydZTvmmcrw5L0I5i At first he thought he had the flu and was lying down on the bed for three days until his sister took him to the hospital. They took his blood and it was 600. What I do not understand is how he could have gotten it, since no one in the family has it. But he is winning the battle now. This is good stuff.
I don’t listen to my Dr. she said I didn’t have to cut out carbs just exercise and lower my calories. If I had listened to her advice I would not have been able to reverse my diabetes. I did low carb / keto with exercise and lost 52 pounds. And have reversed my diabetes in 4 months. I hope this helps someone. This does work. Also I do intermittent fasting from 16-24 hours everyday. ❤️
Hi Tina, Do you think your diabetes is under controlled or completely reversed? I've been watching a lot of Dr. Fung's video where he says diabetes is an overflow of sugar into the bloodstream when your fat cells don't want it. Since you lost 52lbs, does that mean you can eat the carbs again as long as you are not gaining weight because the fat cells are now taking in the sugar again or am I wrong? I feel that your diabetes is fully under controlled and not reversed because reversal to me means you are insulin sensitive and the bad carbs you eat won't spike your blood sugar into diabetic range if you truly reversed diabetes. I know what your thinking, yes you have "reversed" diabetes according to some technical measurements, but not like someone whose insulin sensitive where whatever they ate gets taken care of almost immediately. Just wondering what you think. Thanks.
@@Trading2471 We can't go back to eating crap! But... why would we want to when we feel so great and look so much better?!! Of course if we go back to eating crap/poison processed food we will be sick again. No body was made to handle that junk! Even the skinny people eating that way and "getting away with it" for the moment (which really isn't even true!) are headed for disaster down the road. We all have to face the facts that human bodies are not meant to consume all those carbs unless maybe you run a marathon every day?!!?
So the obvious question is, "Why is she STILL your doctor?" Of course, low carb and intermittent fasting work! If people are honest with themselves, they know what is healthy vs unhealthy re food! The truth is, as long as they can pass the buck of "ignorance" then their conscience is clear. Unfortunately, down the road, they will have to pay the piper!
This great man who was able to think outside the box and speak up when he saw that the traditional medical response to diabetes wasn't working has saved countless lives. This is a real doctor!!
Dr. Fung. I imagine that you feel like your preaching the same info. over and over again. But please know that the information you share is heard and is very much appreciated! Thank you.
Great information if blood sugar elevate to be high do you take the insulin to lower or do you not take it that’s my problem it keep rising higher all though I am losing the weight something I was not able to do before because of the insulin resistant and the fasting is working accept for the high sugars.
Low carb, no sugar, keep moving, exercise, no stress.. In short.. DISCIPLINE IS THE BEST POLICY.. Thanks Dr. Fung.. You help a lot of people.. God Bless you.. ❤️ 🙏😁😇🙏❤️
I wish my Mother had this information when she was living. I watched this with tears. I usually don’t comment on videos, but I had to. She had diabetes for over 40 years, now I am on the verge of having it. The doctor has given me 3 months to get my A1C 7.3 down. I am going to try this! Thank you Dr.
Can you please tell me what fid you eat, to lose the weight? What I mean is like what you ate for breakfast or lunch or dinner. If you did intemitten fasting how many hours did you do it for, are you doing OMAD things like that! I am trying my best but I am not getting too much results. I fast for 16/8 some days and others 14/10. Cut out sugars and carbs. I already do not like sweets. I cannot digest food quickly I have a lot of digestive issues. I have no gallbladder, I take lemon juice with ACV and digestive enzymes too. But not much help with that! Thankyou very much in advance

Dr. Fung, my doctor was concern about my weight and being a pre-diabetic. He advised me to buy your book and read it, because he wanted me to start intermittent fasting. I was very upset when I left his Office. when I get home, I felt hopeless, not knowing if this fasting thing would help me, I did buy your book and stared reading it. I begin intermitting fasting and loss weight. when I want back to see my doctor, he was very pleased with my weight loss and bloodwork. he said if I keep up the good work, he will lower some of my other Meds I'm taking. Thank you for giving me hope!

I was diagnosed with prediabetes last May 2022. After getting the diagnosis I was scared because it runs in my family. I changed my diet. Did keto and IF. 6 months later... My HgB A1C went back to Normal from 5.7% to 5.1% I will continue my diet to low carbs and continue my IF. I will not be doing keto anymore as I am losing too much of my weight. I will just do low carbs. Praise God! I was able to reverse it.
I knew about fasting for a long time....it truly helps, up to a point....but here's one thing nobody is talking about which in my case was getting worse every time I visited my doctor.....STRESS!! It happened about a year ago.....I pretty much was in control of my type 2 diabetes before.....heck my doctor even rescheduled my visits from every 3 months to every 6 months, and things started to work for me.....with my blood sugar level (A1C) under 7 I thought that I felt confident that I turned the corner....and then out of nowhere my blood sugar level started to climb back up again....from 6.9 to 7.5 and then 8.5 and now just a few days ago to 9.5.......so what went wrong? I remember that the only thing I changed was my working schedule.....I started to work night shifts, and after work I was really tired.......fell into my bed as soon possible, but after about 3-4 hrs sleep during the day, I couldn't sleep no more....first I didn't noticed but as time went by I got used to it for sleeping just the bare minimum, until my blood sugar level went through the roof....on my last visit to my doctor we talked about it. and I told my doctor about my sleeping problem.....I was advised to go and take some sleeping pills and take a good sleep......I did all that and to my astonishment over a 9 hrs sleep my blood sugar level went from 280 to 113....IN NINE HRS OF SLEEP! To my story short....I'm taking one over the counter sleeping pill before bed time.....I'm sleeping good and my blood sugar level is now between 113 and 150...I know this is not edged in stone, but its a start to get back to normal level.....nobody i talking about the harmful effect of sleep deprivation.....and no medication has any effect if the blood sugar level goes through the roof...and if you have similar problems maybe a good sleeping pill can really do magic...
I'm sure I'm having this issue... completely STRESSED and I notice the symptoms have worsened since this started. I'm having lack of sleep due to frequent urination at night.. I get up every hour... if I could sleep for at least 6 hours straight a couple of days, I'm sure I'd feel better as I'm taking note of the changes needed in my eating habit.
I was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea. Doctor told me that could be the culprit in my spike. There’s a back-order on CPap machines, so I rented one. I’m fighting against sleep deprivation at no fault of my own, but I’m hopeful this will help my levels. Thanks for sharing your testimony…It encouraged me.
I lowered my A1C a whole lot within 1 month when my wife put me on keto, and then transitioned to low calorie, then took a break of dieting, and now I'm holding it steady with a diet of non-carbs (meats & salads) for lunch, and low glycemic carbs (oats, legumes, sweet potatoes) for dinner, which pattern is also helping me sleep better than ever.
Great job! Before I knew about keto. I just cut the sugary drinks. Sweetes etc. My carbs were only buckwheat and potatoes. Weight felt down. Daily consuming 70g of buckwheat and 200g of potatoes. Yes these are carbs but not processed like anything else that has flour in it. :)
I’m so glad I found your work and videos when I got my diagnosis. I gained 50 lbs right after the pandemic and knew I was in for some trouble. When I realised how much I gained, I started Intermittent Fasting ( while still eating largely the same) and lost about 10 pounds but was stuck there). I continued doing light cardio each week but wasn’t changing my diet and of course wasn’t seeing much change until I got the diagnosis. I reversed type 2 diabetes in 2 months. I was diagnosed with an A1C of 6.5 and a fasted blood sugar of 138. My doc immediately put me on metformin. I decided to do the 16:8 intermittent fasting method and eventually the OMAD (one meal a day) and MOST importantly I did a low carb diet. I restricted my carbohydrate intake to less 70gms of carbs. I started to track my fasted blood sugar daily. My fasted blood sugar went from 138 to 87. On the off chance that I've missed a dose, the next fasted result has consistently been below 90. I've lost 30 lbs in 2 months. I'm excited to do my 3 month follow up test. The goal is to be off metformin. All the carbohydrates might take 2 to 6 months.
I started OMAD at the beginning of July after gradually cutting down the previous month to two meals, low carb, low to no sugar in a 4 hour eating window. I have lost 8 pounds so far since the 1st of the month. I eat once a day around 5pm-6pm. I have done two 44 hour fast this month. I exercise every second day-treadmill, weights, bike, dance etc. for 30-45 min. This really works! I no longer take Metformin twice a day. I listen to Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Sten Ekberg. I weigh 205lbs (lots more to lose) and am almost 60. This is my way of life now.
Both myself and wife were type two diabetics. Been on a low carb diet for a little over two years. We both lost weight and our A1C are normal now. This works.
@@gofigure4920 This works for most type two diabetics. But type one is a different disease and you need insulin to live. If you are on meds that raise insulin or on insulin you need a doctor's supervision to try this. This is powerful and the need for meds drops quickly and if the meds not adjusted correctly you can push your glucose too low and become Hypoglycemia.
I was diagnosed with diabetes three years ago.The emergency room tested my blood glucose at over 600. Was put on Glipiside 10 mg. A year later I went on a low carb diet. Every Canadian nutritionist recommends between 40-60 grams of carbs PER MEAL. That's lethal advice. As a type 2 diabetic I luckily discovered that 40-60 grams of carbs PER DAY, would save my life.
This is a diet that healthy people without metabolic disorder could most likely be on, but not type 2 diabetics. I am on a healthy lower carb diet but not sure on the macros- probably 100 gm carbs /day. If I go low keto carbs- I get really, really thirsty, the same as when I initially begin a water fast.

Thank you for explaining yor diet to people who want to begin a healthy diet but can't give up all the mentally satisfying food that is not good, especially dire for diabetics. The goal is to reverse blood sugar problems. Soon you will find that meds you thought were forever, you don't need. There is nothing for satisfying than observing your doctors reaction when you tell her/him that you no longer take that insulin, you stopped your poop medicine, your BP is normal etc etc.

Thank you for your ongoing support, Dr Fung. I've 'released' over a hundred pounds back to whatever wilderness it came from in the last 2-3 years with your help and information. Still fighting to get my blood sugar consistently down, although it dips too far from time to time, but I'll get there. Your ongoing supply of TH-cams, short or long, are a real help to keeping me moving forward. I think stepping up my excercise is going to be the next step to regulating blood sugar. Can't hurt.
I am in the midst of dealing with a pre diabetes condition and have had some success over the last two months. The straw that broke the camel's back in my situation was the over consumption of fruit in the last year or so. With the already poor diet, high in carbs, the routine consumption of raisins, apples, melons etc as "healthy" foods in place of cake and cookies did nothing but push my glucose higher and add to a climbing Hgba1c over 8 years. I now refer to the sugar in fruit as Fuc_tose as Dr. Fung pronounces it, as that is what really screwed me up, but thankfully was a wake up call to alter my diet.
I’m so thrilled to have found you. I started cutting out carbs and sugar. Numbers going down. Seeing doctor next week to check with him. I want to get off meds. Thank You!
Thank you sir! 4 weeks in a no carb diet is very difficult. Although I do great but it's very challenging. There is a lot of conflicting information so that has also been very frustrating for me to stay motivated. This plan from these doctors make more sense. Pretty much fits what I am currently practicing except I going to add a bet more carb wholesome food. Thank you again, you ignited my confidence in this decision I made.

I had just become diabetic but was pre diabetic in the past. I started 2 months ago, low carb, walking and intermittent fasting. First I did 15 hour fast, then 16 hour and now skipping breakfast doing 18 hour fast. I just have a cup of green tea upon awakening. I lost 15 lbs, although I’m 74 and only was 175, down to 160lbs. I go for lab work in a couple of weeks.
I'm a prediabetic for 3 years already. My latest HBA1C is at 5.7% despite being on permanent low carb diet. My best HBA1C was at 5.4% and only once. However, my fasting BG is good at 81 currently. I've been watching Dr Fung's videos 2 years ago and very impressed, but getting my HBA1C lower is still a struggle 😢. I'm quite reluctant to try intermitten fasting as I'm underweight and do not wish to lose more weights. I watched Beat Diabetes channel, Dr Berg, Dr Ken Berry, Dr Richard Bernstein, just to name a few and they are really good!

On Tuesday my doctor informed me that my A1c is at 7.5 diabetic. So Glad I had started fasting. I am down 12.5lbs and my goal is to lose 30 in the next 3 months before my next appointment. My Dr. said she liked the idea of me trying to reverse it before we went to meds. So I have 3 months to get my numbers down. Thanks for your info I have all your books now I just got to do it.
Hey lady, tell me,are you going through any health challenges that makes you feel bad about life, cause I'm having a serious fear for my body recently 💯💯,dew to the nature of my job
I am prediabetic. After many years listening to many health teachers who teach differently to the point i do not know whom to listen to, i decide to listen to my body. I have animal protein ( enough, not too much for fear of saturated fat), and good fat at evety meals to keep my blood sugar stable. Meat, fish , eggs already have fat. So, don't worry about fat. I cut down on carbohydrates. Everything doctor Fung said is correct. When we have protein and fat at each meal, we are satiated, we do not snack, hence, we do not eat sweet and carbs. Beans do not work for me . Only fish, meat, eggs ( animal protein) work. I only eat protein at breakfast and lunch. I eat vegetables only at dinner, or i do not eat dinner at all. I feel good with this plan of dr Fung. Do not skip breakfast. Eat breakfast within 2 hours waking up. It is good for your heart and your blood sugar.
I love all your videos, shame that people don't inform themself about this, I'm trying that some friends take a look and learn from you...they need it! Even one is getting a bariatric surgery, because his doctor says "it will help him" with his diabetes.....horror!
Please send him Dr. Jason Fungs videos, You’re a good man & thank you for helping us!!!!it’s not easy to tell the truth amidst those who lie to patients… whet misinformed or not.
Had blood glucose of 106 then after about 64 days of low carb it dropped to 88 and that measurement was taken when I wasn't even fasting. Oh yeah, and I'm on like day 70 now and have lost like 45 lbs, my goal is to make to 50 within 90 days although it looks like I'm gonna surpass that. And mind you, this also includes a "stall" period that lasted about a week and a half where I didn't seem to be losing weight. This stuff works, you just have to stick with it.
💚 the things I learned from you saved my dad's life and he is no longer diagnosed type 2 diabetes but understands he has an intolerance for carbohydrates
It's crazy how many items have high fructose corn syrup in them! I went through the entire snack aisle and bread/crackers aisle and almost all of items had this ingredient in them. They even put fructose in the Emer-Gen C packets and this is supposed to be healthy(no it isn't). Once I found out that fructose goes directly to the liver and is often converted to fat which can lead to a fatty liver, I cut out all candy and items with fructose and high fructose corn syrup. It took a few days for my energy levels to pick back up but I feel better than ever!
As a reformed type 2 diabetic who is not practising ketosis, I would say it a little differently, eliminate all processed foods, which are a mixture of processed seed oils, refined glucose, sugar and chemicals. They come pre-packaged at the supermarket. Moderate amounts of fruit which contain fructose are OK, but that same fruit juiced is just as bad as processed food, which is what you turn it into by juicing. Non-starchy vegetables and salads are fine, the more the better. The other thing to understand is that there has been a massive change by American cardiologists towards saturated fat which is no longer considered dangerous to health as of August 2020, don't believe me? See: www.onlinejacc.org/content/76/7/844 "Abstract The recommendation to limit dietary saturated fatty acid (SFA) intake has persisted despite mounting evidence to the contrary. Most recent meta-analyses of randomized trials and observational studies found no beneficial effects of reducing SFA intake on cardiovascular disease (CVD) and total mortality, and instead found protective effects against stroke. Although SFAs increase low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, in most individuals, this is not due to increasing levels of small, dense LDL particles, but rather larger LDL particles, which are much less strongly related to CVD risk. It is also apparent that the health effects of foods cannot be predicted by their content in any nutrient group without considering the overall macronutrient distribution. Whole-fat dairy, unprocessed meat, and dark chocolate are SFA-rich foods with a complex matrix that are not associated with increased risk of CVD. The totality of available evidence does not support further limiting the intake of such foods." Processed seed oils, i.e. the polyunsaturated oils that were supposed to be good for us instead of traditional hard / saturated fats, introduced into the human diet by Crisco in 1912, are increasingly considered a major part of the problem, and surprise surprise, are entirely processed notwithstanding the efforts by manufacturers to promote as vegetable oils.
Bonjour Dr Fung. Thank you for this informative video. You are a hero in the sense that with those, you are saving lives for sure !! Have a great week-end :)

Dear Doctor's Berry & Fung,
I am a 74 year old obese man who had Type 2 diabetes for just over 25 years, I was taking Metformin for 15 years then it was upped Metformin+ Gliclazide for the last 10 years..
So happy for you

@@tomikastewart6515 Sorry to hear Tomika. You essentially need to do your best to eliminate processed foods from your diet (best way is not to have any in your house). I would also like to refer you to the other side of this diabetes reversal topic, which is completely opposite to what Dr. Fung teaches and that is a low fat plant based diet. Both strategies work to reverse diabetes, however the science points to better health outcomes and longevity when consuming whole plant foods low in fat. ❤️
It sure does work!!! Great job.
Hi Tina,
Do you think your diabetes is under controlled or completely reversed?
Hello from America. I would love to visit North Africa, Morocco, Tunisia and maybe Algeria. Hopefully Morocco is safer than Algeria.
I was diagnosed with prediabetes last May 2022. After getting the diagnosis I was scared because it runs in my family. I changed my diet. Did keto and IF. 6 months later... My HgB A1C went back to Normal from 5.7% to 5.1%
I will continue my diet to low carbs and continue my IF. I will not be doing keto anymore as I am losing too much of my weight. I will just do low carbs.
Praise God! I was able to reverse it.
ive just been diagnosed what can i eat as i dont want to lose to much weight as ive lost quite a bit
Too little sleep and increased stress raises cortisol which increases insulin.
Thank you for mentioning how stress affects blood sugar as well.
Sweet potato contains high carbs.
Sweet potatoes are also very high in oxalates, as are oats, and some legumes. Just to be aware of this.
How much did you lower it in 1 month?
Great work, Karen, keep it up....onward and upward. *See my daily routines, they may help you* Good luck

I am 190 I always been 145 my whole life at one point lower than that I've gained over 50 lbs in the last 4 years and now that I am engaged I am wanting more to be healthy again. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx5VQ5nUzHu6i0O5_u7ipyLnCz0lbsSvr0 I am not fat but I am thick and have muscle. I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. I went from size 5 to size idk because I don't even want to know the real number. I hate looking at pics of myself now or me before. thank you for your video it's time to make a change.
How’s your journey been? Have you been able to stick to the changes you wanted to make?
So refreshing to hear someone publicly admit they were wrong & correct themselves .. thank you!!
Such a clear and simple explanation of Diabetes and how to reverse it. Thank you so much Dr. Fung!! 😍
My husband just came off his 4 diabetic pills that he has been on for 13 years because of you & Dr. Ken Berry, thank you 👏🥳
Thank you very much I am excited to get rid of my type 2 diabetes and avoid other complications. I watched my grandmother suffer from both legs removed because of poor circulation meaning too much sugar in her blood and it destroyed her at age 73 not yet 74. I don't want to see myself end up like her. She had type 1 diabetes. So sad. But you give me hope, you light up my life. Thanks.
Been going on low carb diet for more than a year now. my HBA1C is almost normal ranging from 6. 4 to 6.5. I seldom eat brown rice and if I do its only about 1/4 cup. totally no breads and snacks. My doctor said its time to stop taking my diabetic meds as long as I can maintain my low carb diet. thank you Dr. Jason Fung.

Diagnosed in October, I have done this very thing. I added intermittent fasting and exercise regularly. Thank you so much Doctor the information in your videos has helped me tremendously and changed my life. 7 months ago I was Morbidly obese and a complete sugar carbohydrate addict, I refused insulin and took only the metformin prescribed to me. I've managed to lose 126 lb and not only change my life but the life of my family members and children around me. God Bless

Wow, that's a tremendous achievement! I was just diagnosed after having Covid pneumonia. VERY sick. Between having acute illness & being put on a very strong steroid my sugar shot up to 380. I'm on metformin 500mgs 1 am, 2 pm. I've been eating keto/carnivore for about a month & a half. My sugar has been around 140 in AM and got it down to around 110-135 throughout the day. I was hoping it would at least be below 100 by now. Also not liking my morning results. Any tips for me? I'm trying intermittent fasting but struggle because it says to take food with the metformin.
Thanks Dr ! lost 17.4Kg in 5 months , started by reduce sugar then 2nd month completely cut. my target to lost 30kg before end this year. hope you guys outhere doing well. trust your knowledge!!

I brought my A1c down from 14 to 6.8 in 3 months without medication. I will be doing videos about my journey to to beat Diabetes.. I'm a new diabetic, I was diagnosed in April..I changed my diet and I exercise 3 times a day. My Dr called me rare a breed because of how I'm keeping my blood sugar at normal levels without insulin and Metformin which I was on both. They took me off insulin Early June, I took myself off Metformin in the middle of June.. I got my A1c this month....
Morning world....of course I like it. Of course I'll share it. I want everyone to be healthier. Thank you Dr. Fung.
Hey lady, tell me,are you going through any health challenges that makes you feel bad about life, cause I'm having a serious fear for my body recently 💯💯,dew to the nature of my job
I started Intermittent fasting and a low carb diet on October 1st because my blood glucose was 151 and my blood pressure could not be controlled by medications and was 190/100. I lost 17 pounds in 25 days and my blood glucose dropped to 135 and my bp dropped to 155/75. I have a ways to go but I know it works!
I've benefited from low carb diet since 2014. My Ha1c was 10.4, now constantly 5.7. and I am to open a restaurant named sugarless.cafe in Vancouver, BC very soon. stay tuned! 🤓
Great job. Keep up the good work. 💪
Congratulations you should be proud of yourself.
Congrats! It’s great that you are giving ppl the option of “sugarless”
Best of luck with your cafe!
I hope you have a successful open & many years of business!
@@justdanadane Oh it surely will be a success. More and more people are changing to a low carb lifestyle after discovering how successful it is in reversing numerous chronic disorders.
Your videos act as a reminder to myself to maintain what I've already learned and applied to my lifestyle. Ita a big deal for me to not fall back into my old ways. Thank you for explaining yor diet to people who want to begin a healthy diet but can't give up all the mentally satisfying food that is not good, especially dire for diabetics. The goal is to reverse blood sugar problems. Soon you will find that meds you thought were forever, you don't need. Bowel problems will subside, skin gets smoother etc etc. I could go on about the benefits. Those are reluctant, need not be. You will be grateful as your daily life gets better. There is nothing for satisfying than observing your doctors reaction when you tell her/him that you no longer take that insulin, you stopped your poop medicine, your BP is normal etc etc.
Im 51 now and had type 2 since 2009....i was fat...drank beer and ate what i wanted. Worked on my diet...and yo yo’s alot for 10 years. But never got off my meds. 2 years ago I stopped drinking altogether....and weight has stayed off. I go to the gym 5 times a week...and yoga on rest days. Only consume 2500 calories per day.....so I still have sugar when I want...but has to fit in my caloric intake. Im off all my meds....my A1C is 4....I still check my glucose twice a day...and the highest its been was 143 after some birthday cake and ice cream....its normally around 96 now. Alcohol was the real killer for me.
Sugar is sugar no matter how you disguise it. A rose is a rose is a rose. Fructose is the devil in disguise.
Whenever I watch your video, my confidence level goes upward. Thank you so much, Dr. Jason fung.❤

You saved my life. Thank you so much for teaching us.

I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. My A1c. . . . 7%. The Dr. has prescribed Metformin. His advice, "follow a healthy diet." lol My best medical source. . . .the InnerWebz! lol
Thanks Dr. JASON Fung. I became a new subscriber after watching this video. I'm going to share with my sister.
One month ago I started doing Intermittent fasting again, I had been doing it just before the pandemic hit and I lost my ambition and well ate out of boredom.
Thank you Dr Fung for bringing this info to the forefront!! So much appreciate you sharing!!
It will reverse his diabetes but he will have to lose a certain amount of weight first too prove himself before they do it.
Please send him Dr. Jason Fungs videos, You’re a good man & thank you for helping us!!!!it’s not easy to tell the truth amidst those who lie to patients… whet misinformed or not.
Thank you very much. I have been following this advice and the results are fantastic. I have been lost weight and gained more energy.
💚 the things I learned from you saved my dad's life and he is no longer diagnosed type 2 diabetes but understands he has an intolerance for carbohydrates
please help me. my mom has type 2 and i dont know things that will help get it away please reply with stuff
See:
www.onlinejacc.org/content/76/7/844
"Abstract
The recommendation to limit dietary saturated fatty acid (SFA) intake has persisted despite mounting evidence to the contrary. The totality of available evidence does not support further limiting the intake of such foods."
Processed seed oils, i.e. the polyunsaturated oils that were supposed to be good for us instead of traditional hard / saturated fats, introduced into the human diet by Crisco in 1912, are increasingly considered a major part of the problem, and surprise surprise, are entirely processed notwithstanding the efforts by manufacturers to promote as vegetable oils.
this man is a genius you save millions of people hope they found the exact meds to eliminate this disease
Juicing cabbage in morning, one fat meal for lunch, and juice celery for dinner. 700$ Tribest greenstar pro is worth it.
I appreciate that you talk clearly and slowly, so one can process the info. Thanks.
