- This is part 6 of a 100% walkthrough of Banjo Kazooie (XBLA version). This part includes Gobi's Valley. This is one of my all-time favorite games and I just recently decided to purchase the Xbox Live Arcade version of it. This walkthrough is going to be a relatively quick 11 part series.
This channel features instructional & highly edited video game guides, walkthroughs, speedruns and other uniquely transformative videos. My own personal gameplay, extensive editing & creative input are clearly added into each video, ensuring that all videos adhere to TH-cam's partner program guidelines. Grunty's Race is so unfair... They give you 25 seconds, yet the first 5 seconds are unskippable
the first 5 seconds get wasted
That is unfair! Sheesh, some “master”, huh? More like cheater, if you ask me
The trick is when you're on the inclines, instead of running up them, jump to the next level
And the fact that it starts to close with 1 second to go.
Yeah, but as long as you have the turbo trainers on, don't hug the walls and jump when climbing up the slopes you can cut some time off and make climbing to the top easier.
Ah, I remember this game, I used to have a Nintendo 64 and had this game. I miss it a lot.
It was one of my favorite games.
Lol yeah, I still got my copy of the N64 version and I love playing it now and then.

@@Matanumi Banjo is vastly superior to Mario 64. Better move set, better designed levels, larger gameplay variety. Mario looks like a tech demo by comparison. The golden age of Rare did involve copying Nintendo but they always one upped them.
My favorite part of this level was gobi himself. I always did wish the characters you helped would still be in the levels. But it was still fun regarldless. :')

22:40 I'm sure that you could still beat Boggy without the Running Shoes, like with that Crocodile Challenge in Bugglegoop Swamp. Yet in Banjo Tooie, there's a tonne of Back Tracking, unlike the First Game where it only happens once.
There's a ton of back tracking in tooie. I think one could make a case as to which Banjo-Kazooie game is the better between 1-2. I think there even in terms of levels and characters within the game. Despite back tracking a lot in the 2nd game id still say it's the better one just because Rare made boss battles more prominent. Without bosses to the levels it made the game feel a little empty I think.
Yeah and well twice if you want to beat Mr Vile with the Running shoes or get the first cheat (as a crocodile) and second cheat (As a Pumpkin) from Cheato.
15:50 Apparently it turned out when we're older that a Camel's Hump actually runs on Fat, not Water. Not sure if the water's what produced Gobi's Hump though. That was quite a Mind Blowing Fact. Yet what if you didn't Ground Pound him the 2nd time in this level, making Gobi leave, releasing an Optional Honeycomb Piece?

Yeah, Gobi also realeses water in Click-Clock Wood Summer and Autum Areas (you need to seed the plant with Blue Eggs in Spring first) then water the plant and grab the jiggy on the flower in Autumn.
@@WZow Gobi does release water for Trunker in Gobi's Valley and to grow the flower in summer and fall areas in Click Clock Wood.
the maze in this level kind freaked me out abit as well when the timer hit 0
yeah, this and a million other things in this game freaked me out haha.

If you look at the ceiling before going in when the door closes behind you, you can see the spikes in the ceiling...scary

This whole time I thought that the matching puzzle from the first tomb you did was random...That was insane memory skill there.
Lol, yeah, although the pattern locations stay the same so you can easily remember them when you do the quiz or start a new save file.

Lol, the Egyptians didn't have toilets back then unless you want to count the purple pots in the treasure chamber.
Great level, and I have been checking out the playthroughs of Banjo-Kazooie, as I have just started playing Banjo-Kazooie for the first time since Saturday afternoon at 2PM, Auckland New Zealand time, and I have been playing this game on the Nintendo 64 Mupen64 Emulator. Also, Great video, and I have been a fan of this channel for 4 Days.

You know what could have been a cool idea for this level if mumbo was in this level he could have change Banjo into a either a lizard or a scorpion. Don't know what he woulda been used for however.
I like it when the statue says by dose is all blocked up then you fire an egg to clear it and the statue says Hey dat tickles

My guy, you missed the Mumbo Token in the pyramid with water. Same thing happened to me

at around 11:00 you missed a silver skull in the water BEFORE getting the jiggie or you will never be able to get it. It is floating in the water towards the viewer's left. Swim towards the camera before doing any diving and you'll see it. Just an FYI. It's not 100% without that skull, hm? otherwise great video!
Yeah that one is easy to miss (I did several times when I was younger, I also left the one or two in the engine room in Rusty Bucket Bay because they were the more dangerous and risky ones to get), but you don't need all the Mumbo Tokens to beat the game.
I wonder if he ever figures out that he forgot a bonus Jiggy from Treasure Trove Cove...

This levels culture and architecture is based on Ancient Egypt but it has the name of a dessert that spans Mongolia and China.

I still hate it that you first need to learn the beak bomb and then go back to this world.. I forgot and grabbed 85 notes and realized I had to leave and return 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

You need a save data from Banjo - Tooie or Nuts n' Bolts on your console to open it
To open the door, you need to put in a secret cheat in the N64 Version or beat the game in the Xbox Version, as for the Magic Carpet there are two that loop around in their areas one near the Sphinx that also leads to the spindle door (the one you are talking about) and another near the mix and match pyramid to free Gobi.

The Airial Ace Attack, you have to press the attack button (The B button the N64 and I think the same on the Xbox) while flying in the air.

This is originally an N64 game. When Microsoft got control of Rare, they released this version on the XBLA that has cleaner looks graphics.
+packattack04082 It's basically what any N64 game would look like if you ran it on an emulator on any PC. And... that's essentially what the Xbox Live Arcade is doing.

It was originally on the N64, but when Microsoft bought Rare back in 2004 they had to change the development company from 'Nintendo' to 'Microsoft' (Which you see on Mumbo's Xylophone, when starting up the game) tweak the graphics (on Banjo and Kazooie's HUD) and text bubbles a bit (because some people thought it was too big pr hard to see the Original version's or something like that)
