The death of Grunty has one of the most amazing buildups in any video game. That Jinjo statue builds up his strength, only to deliver a full-force headbutt at the end. Each one of those blows was so satisfying, with the music getting higher every time.
Conga is the hardest boss in video game history

11:20 is my most favorite memory of this game. Never seen a boss destroyed so badly by another character that they mistreated and main character helped except Donkey Kong 64 which was made by Rare also.

Honestly only Grunty could be accurately called a boss battle. The rest are such minor, short encounters that they hardly count. I mean, c'mon...black snippet? you stomp on him twice and it's over. He's a buffed normal character.
I love BK by the way, it's just not a game with bosses apart from the very end.
Andrew Campbell I disagree. For some of us as 90's kids, it was a big deal when we beat the characters, and got the puzzle piece after beating them (especially if it took us a while to figure out how to solve the riddle/beat the characters).
Not only that, some of the characters were somewhat intimidating to us kids (or to me at least XD).
Yeah, Banjo-Tooie was more known for having actual bosses.
To be fair. The only bosses that felt interesting to fight where Gruntilda and Hag1. Even alot of the bosses in Banjo 2 felt like glorified mino bosses to flex the shooting feature added. But just my opinion. Also, I like both games alot, even if the first was more tight knight level design and the 2nd had better supporting charchters.

Banjo Kazooie was amazing but the boss fights were very lacking. Glad they realized and fixed it with Tooie, the bosses there were great.
At least the final boss was actually challenging and epic.
Yeah half the "bosses" in BK are just a swarm (and the super strong Nippet in the sand castle is a mid-boss at best). Conga, Nipper, Boom Box, and Grunty are the "true" bosses, and while I can't fault Conga and Nipper for being easy bosses (given that they are in the first two worlds) they do lack a lot of presence. They have themes but barely any introduction and they fit seamlessly into the world (so they end up feeling like a randomly goated normal enemy). But neither are even the strongest enemy in their worlds because the invincible(?) bull is within sight of Conga and there's an invincible shark in the waters of Treasure Trove Cove
Thankfully Boom Box and Grunty do a great job of establishing presence and feeling very distinct in the game. Grunty's battle absolutely slaps, builds in multiple levels of rising tension and requires mastery of several gameplay mechanics to beat.
I just have to say Kazooie is a savage in these games. She calls Nipper crustacean brain and they haven’t even met for a minute
Kazooie is somewhat a deconstruction of the edgy mascot like Sonic and his ripoffs, Kazooie's edginess keeps putting both in trouble.
That strategy against the Bees was soooo cheap xD
I think its what speed runners do. Also they flew to fast when I was a kid. So I dont think the strategy changed much.
Although it was kind of funny seeing all te Zubbas just fly to their doom

If I could go back in time, I would tell Rare not to sign the contract to Microsoft no matter what.
If Nintendo bought Rare, then Rare Replays would have been on Wii U, and Donkey Kong 64 would have been included in it. Since Rare Replays was on XBox One, Donkey Kong 64 could not be included in it, because Nintendo owns part of it, and Nintendo decided to only release games on their own machines, not any other machines. Sony has released Crash Bandicoot and Spyro on other machines besides their own machine, and they're different from Nintendo.

I wish that would've happened, then Conker's Bad Fur Day 2 would've been on the Switch, or a sequel to Donkey Kong 64. Ohh, the possiblities.....

Never really saw these as bosses, just unfriendly npcs with a personality.
How come? I think the only unfriendly character who is not evil is the shark from the beach level. The shark is just doing it's normal shark nature thing, which is eating any creature that it's bigger than. I only played far to the second level.

I've noticed recently that compared to Banjo-Kazooie the sequel (Banjo-Tooie) focused more on the bosses because there's a boss for each fucking world, and I like that
you did very well. some of these bosses for me was challenging. this is one of my first and favorite games ever.

I missed Mr. Vile on this vid, he's the only challenging boss char in the game even though the only way to take damage is to lose and not exit the room fast enough.
Ashley Black My favorite thing to do was lose on purpose then outrun him with the speed shoes.
He also forgot the snowmen and purple ghost from Freezeezy Peak and Mad Monster Mansion. To my knowledge Gobi's Valley is the world in the game where you don't have to defeat an enemy to get a Jiggy. You can just leave King Sandybutt wandering his maze and get right to his Jiggy.

Holy crud; I never got so far as to beat the box, or the bees, much less get so far as to fight Gruntilda! I pretty much gave up after a certain point I guess...😅

Boss Stragedies:
1) Congo, The Orange lovin' ape
There are some things you need to do before attempting this Boss:
1) Get a Orange for little monkey to raise the stump.
2) Talk to Bottles to learn Egg Move
Once you do all the Requirements, you can approach the Boss on the Taller Stump. Shoot eggs at him a few times to knock him out. However, after you gotten a jiggy, he continues attacking.
2) Nipper, The Crab in a Shell
Requirement: Peck Attack Move
Get close until he speaks. Then wait till he stops clipping then Peck Attack. Once he's defeated, he will vanish into his Shell. Go inside to claim your Jiggy.
3 Black Snippet, Sand Castle Gaurdian Crab
Requirements:
1) Solve the Puzzle
You can use any attack on him. Once he's out, you can obtain a Jiggy.
Who else had difficulties on the yellow flibbits?

Oh gosh i remember this game its what started me up and built my personalit. well then we sold it to my aunt and i got banjo kazooie Nutz and Bolts still and always will be my favorite game
I like how someone realizes that there are bosses in this game.
The first time I've played,thought the monkey was going to throw poop but it wasn't what I thought it was.
I always screw up with the bees because I forget to refill on golden feathers
If I could make a Banjo-Threeie game, it would probably be like this one
Not many of these bosses take place in arenas that can’t be left until the boss is defeated, not all of them even do much to stop you from beating them.

You took damage when you ground pounded right after the flying phase on Grunty. You just had infinite health on ;)
You know what’s faster? When Grunty glides down with broomstick, use your eggs immediately at least three to five times. It’s much easier and faster rather than using the beak attack 😁🤘🏻

that black crab found inside the sandcastle isn't a boss, it is just a stronger variation of the tradicional crab
