- This is part 10 of a 100% walkthrough of Banjo Kazooie (XBLA version). This part includes the board game called 'Grunty's Furnace Fun'. This is one of my all-time favorite games and I just recently decided to purchase the Xbox Live Arcade version of it. This walkthrough is going to be a relatively quick 11 part series.
This channel features instructional & highly edited video game guides, walkthroughs, speedruns and other uniquely transformative videos. My own personal gameplay, extensive editing & creative input are clearly added into each video, ensuring that all videos adhere to TH-cam's partner program guidelines. My walkthoughs take tremendous amounts of work & editing so that all videos are straight to the point & can be used as professional video game guides. All gameplay is my own & is recorded and edited solely by me. Permission to upload each game was provided by the game publisher.

It would be HILARIOUS if they even included Gruntilda’s own voice as one of them. Not only is it already obvious since she’s speaking for the entire board game. But that would mean she’s calling her own voice dumb.

Lol, yeah, because every since you start a new game you have to remember everything in the game for the quiz at the end of it, that's what makes Banjo Kazooie serious so iconic.

The funny part is you don't have to complete it I waited Travis close enough and I jumped over the questions and and use the bird to use its feathers somewhat fly over the board and actually worked

21:24 - Party was totally crashed! But for a good reason - they were so focused and happy that Tooty was safe and sound that they completely forgot that Gruntilda is still on the loose. Time for the final battle with Gruntilda!

@@heartnatnat well that and he was put back in the bowl but fell out in Banjo Tootie and got stuck under a rock and you had to free him and carry back to water so he can give yiu extra bubbles and an ability to swim faster, and before the end of that game you seen him on Bottle's plate after him and King Jingaling gets revived but before they start the party.

Lol yeah it is possible to win with the Turbo Trainers but it's very difficult.
I tried but I kept laughing like a fkn school girl cause I was pretty much just riding his face and it was too hilarious to focus.
Gruntilda sure gave you an easy question. Who else would have such a cool voice?
No one else really, she calls everyone else's dumb bedsides hers.

This quiz was a pain in the ass!
How to play:
Walk on the tile to play a certain game based on the tile
Music tile: choose the answer based on music or sound played
BK tile: random tile or boss
Joker tile: joker card won if answered correctly
Death tile: beware as these are impossible to pass unless you have a joker card. But if you don't answer correctly or beat the boss in time, you will fall into the lava killing you.
Eye tile: choose an answer based on what's shown on screen.
Grunty's tile: you will need to talk to every grunty fairy like relatives throughout the lair to get answers(3 each per relative)
Timer tile: you have to beat the boss in limited time
Free honeycomb tiles: no need to answer or beat anything. The treat all yours.
Now you need to know is that you can't advanced all the way to grunty. You have to pass through tiles by choosing correct answers or by beating a boss in time. Remember you can use joker cards to skip the tiles. Also one other thing to note: except for death and joker tiles, you will take damage everytime you answer them wrong or didn't beat the boss in time. But if you die and lose a life, you will have to start the whole game over. So make sure to have as many honeycomb health as you possibly can and also you can't double your health until after you beat this. Even if you do make it, you will rescue his sister no matter what place you took in.
Tips:
Don't rush it. Just take your time to figure out the answers. If you didn't answer correctly, no worries just keep trying. But its random every time you press A. If you need to, head back to previous levels or parts of the lair and learn more about them or it. You can write it down if needed. Just choose the path you chosen and head down that path. You can tell which tile is passed if it lights up.

All of the Gruntilda Facts questions have a random answer, and only Brentilda knows which one. It varies from file to file.

@@AnthonyMtheGamerArtist That threw me off at first glance too. I remember starting a new file on Banjo-Kazooie just for fun. In the first file Brentilda said Gruntilda washed her hair with rancid milk. The second file - Brentilda changed the answer to baked beans! Obviously, that wasn't the only answer that changed. My brother and I were really confused about this. And we didn't have the luxury to Google it back then to confirm what "caused" the change (it was 1998). My brother was finally able to put this to rest when he heard from a mutual friend of ours that the answers vary from file to file. But needless to say, we were both confused for quite a while.

I went back up after getting 100% to fight Gruntilda again, unlocked all the doors and got my mind blown when I found out about the double HP.
Then Dingpot only shot me back into the 100% cutscene. Words cannot describe my sadness right now. At least the journey was fantastic!

you can but its best if you collect all the notes and jiggies from the worlds it will benefit you at the end
Yeah, as long as you do 8 worlds can skip the 9th world and do the quiz, but you need to do the 9th world to open the last few doors at the top of Gruntilda's lair.

I use the Joker cards on the skull squares.
The Joker cards allow you to skip a square you don't want to do.
I hated the quiz
it makes me think of it being a mario party reference
I always used the joker cards to skip the minigame tiles. Hated those.
The only mini-game tile I hated was the Tip-Tup Choir pattern you had to remember a 7 or 9 pattern combination in a tight time limit and if you guessed wrong or didn't finish it in time you lose health.
I’m playing this on the series S. I had it on N64 but never completed it but this godforsaken furnace is so annoying 😂

I had to get 4 jokers to do it than I had to solve the last question on my last health bar but I pull through like a soldier.
