Dude, ever since your departure from "that brand" that shall not be named, you've been flourishing more than I've ever seen before! Your mindset to culinary arts is EXACTLY how I like to do things myself. Love your work man!
@@ronch182 He means because brad is growing marijuana. I would really would like to see him harvest, dry and trim. I think he was in the closet when he was working at Bon Apetite and weed wasn't legal in New York yet. This might be his coming out video.
three very important things I took away here: 1) this cocktail is *yum-yum* 2) Japanese wineberries are thought to be a blackberry/raspberry hybrid 3) perilla is *definitely related to perilla* thanks Brad
From what I understand as a horticulturist , cultivation of the Leone species requires only a little bit of care. Preferring open space with at least 8 hours of sunlight, best culture occurs in a country environment. Regular fertilizing and feeding is required, preferably with fermented fertilisers. Some pruning may be required as they can grow quite tall. Water fairly frequently with non-typical alcoholic beverages. Not subject to many pests. Propagation appears to happen naturally with typical variation shown in the offspring. Not considered an invasive species.
Brad is outstanding in his field. The moment of Zen cleared my skin and cured my insomnia. Also thank you for helping me learn to be fearless, Mr. Leonie!
If I had a nickel for every time I do the “mom-OM”, I could send the kiddos to boarding school! But where is the fun in that? Had my morning “toffee” (toke/coffee) and got to watch Brad.. here’s to a good day!🤟
I don't even drink alcohol anymore but clicked anyway cause its brad, so i was very pleasantly surprised to see he also grows weed! i always had a feeling 😅
In bed watching this video next to sleeping hubs with sound off and it made me smile, so I went and read the comments. I love the energy here so much I’m going to the kitchen so I can turn the volume up. 😂❤
Happy to see Perilla leaves! Yes, they’re from the sesame family! Brad you should also check omija berries! They’re also known as “five-flavor berries”. They’re great when fermented to make wine!
Little nitrogen for the bayleaf. And look into predatory wasps for the squash. They'll eat the larvae. Alliums planted near the squash will attract the wasps too. Not to close though. Thanks for all the awesome content man I appreciate you.
Perilla is in the mint family. Most of the mint family have square stems. You can also use leaves in a tempura batter and fry. Need to add to my garden.
Looking forward to his fermented marijuana episode. I thought he said he didn't smoke. I think he was in the closet when he worked for Bon Apetite and weed wasn't legal in New York. I would like to see a video of him harvesting and the whole process.
You should go to carton brewing. It is a local central jersey brewery in Atlantic Highlands. It has a fantastic verity of seasonal beers and friendly staff.
Not really ever tried the fermenting thing. I'm real picky about what all I eat and drink, but this looks delicious. I might try this one out, gotta start somewhere
Please note that Japanese wineberry, at least in Wisconsin, is prohibited by the DNR as it outcompetes the native flora including wild raspberries and blackberries. Not to say you can't grow it, but please be careful with it and don't sleep on the native berries either
Brad you gotta make some shrub outta those wineberries. it's kinda what you made here but the process for making it is a little different and involves vinegar.
As a homebrewer, I've always found wild berries to be a very interesting wild card, if used properly. You can't just mash in wild berries you freshly plucked; best case scenario is that your fermentation stalls, worse case is that you die. Do not without all of the precaution.
When Brad orders a cocktail shaker from wish it comes with the ice cube thing and all he wants to do is use it but instead pours the ice in from the cup because he realizes it sucks.
I’m glad you got to use those little bushel boxes we found! Ya little bushel boy
Brad’s plants look so healthy because he loves them and talks sweet to them.

I love that Brad doesn't have to hide that he's a stoner, even more reliable xD
Think brad needs to show us a good brownie recipe 😉
Wrong channel, a certain dessert person can though.

I'm so medicated it took me a minute to get it that's funny as hell 😂😂😂
That weed plant had 7 leaves so those are males. Not sure why he would have those around unless he is cross breedings 2 types of plants.
@@Rosk03 Hemp maybe?

4) If you ingest a Wild Leone, seek medical attention immediately.
I think I speak for everyone when I say: MORE BRAD LEONE FACTS PLS

I'm so glad this channel exists. It just makes me happy. Plain and simple. Thank you Brad, and thank you crew that helps make it happen.
This is the best kind of CLASSIC Brad. Love the new stuff too but always love returning to "lets ferment and make it into something" format!
I want my life to be as playful as Brad’s. Pure, genuine, fun.

I am going to grow Japanese Wineberries. Thanks Brad. You are so much fun to watch at home making things!
Careful, they spread like half a foot/day in the summer, it's absolutely nuts. and the thorns grip onto everything.

Brad didn’t have to flex like that lol 😂
Beautiful lovely looking lady there! I always knew why I liked watching him make good stuff. Herbalist get alongside one another 😂.

This reminds me of beet kvass visually. An edible color 🧿🤍☮️
Loved this! Never knew of the Japanese Wineberry before.
Can fermented ingredients cocktails be a series?
Lmfaro F yes to the intro 😂💚💨
Looking forward to his fermented marijuana episode. I thought he said he didn't smoke. I think he was in the closet when he worked for Bon Apetite and weed wasn't legal in New York. I would like to see a video of him harvesting and the whole process.
Maybe he makes his own tinctures or extracts or gives it to friends, who knows, id grow too if I had a giant garden
it's legal in rhode island where he lives now

Haaaaa 😁😂🤣😅😁… the Holy Brad Candle Shrine!
If Brad mentions giving scraps to the chickens in the episode you gotta show the chickens getting their treat in the end clips.
My man proving the 420 vibes he was givin this whole time
for real, since the boneappleteeth days.
America’s # 1 Daddy ❤
Garden tour please!

If you kept adding sugar to the berry mixture, could you raise the alcohol content to that of a wine or liqueur?
Bushel Boi Brad Bathes Bay leaves....

Yeah very invasive. They came with the property ( for better or worse) definitely didn’t plant. They’re everywhere up here
Your garden looks exactly like my Nana's
Perilla definitely related to Perilla. Noted. 😄

Oh to be a morsel of perfection with a lil halo....
You should make a drink with beach plums
Growing his own fish whistles I see.
I see he put his weed planta front and center this episode. Maybe cause everyone saw the weed plant in the last video lol
Like we all have parella & wine berries growing in our yards 😂
When Brad orders a cocktail shaker from wish it comes with the ice cube thing and all he wants to do is use it but instead pours the ice in from the cup because he realizes it sucks.
You need to do a video with Thirsty Whale
Can you make or create some sort of active cannabis cocktail? Or what can you use fermented cannabis with ?
