I stumbled across big patch of blueberries in Canada last week. Filled up my hat with a quart of them. Mine went into pancakes, blueberry buckle and a simple bowl of milk and sugar like cereal. That was a good couple days.
Having a ice cream maker with a compressor was a game changer for me. it has allowed me to really experiment without the time sink of freezing the core of the non compressor machines. Great job as always Brad. Oh Whats your favorite Side Dish, appetizer, really anything that accompanies the main dish?

We are having an outstanding year for wild blackberries in Western Washington and I would love to try this recipe. the use of those herbs and the lemon and yuzu is wonderful. Blueberries benefit from a little bit of acid. I'm sure sorry about Scotty, he was a fine creature. He went down protecting the flock. Our roosters have taken on coyotes and died to protect their hens. We'll miss you Scotty.
Looks great! My family grows blueberries in our backyard and the one time someone made icecream out of them, they also made sea salt vanilla icecream-and they tasted so good together, making a swirl of the two is definitely worth a try if you make more blueberry icecream in the future
That looks amazing! I like to make Brazilian Avocado Ice Cream. You don't even need eggs for the avocado ice cream, since the avocado is sort of a substitute for the eggs in the recipe anyway. I will do avocado, sugar, cream, and vanilla and a little bit of salt, blend it in the blender then chill that ice cream base and once cold pour it into the ice cream maker. Soooo good.
Heard that in some European countries they use fattier cream (apparently it's not a thing in the U.S). Try it that way just to see what happens. Perhaps it'll be closer to gelato? Yes go butterscotch next! Should be fun to watch you caramelize the brown sugar and add cream + melted butter into that.
Had some basil ice cream a little while ago from a stand, it was intense but so refreshing! I think you could make some real good flavours with some different mixes of herbs. My mom makes an amazing pie with figs and pear and she puts thyme on top, so maybe a fig, pear, and thyme ice cream would be good!
