Justin and Rebekah, just wanted to pass on a viewer perspective. So thankful you decided to include your children way back when you started this podcast. As they have grown, here is a perspective. Jonah so intelligently quick witted, Josiah always processing and careful of other's feelings, Lilly's Loving Compassion for her family and the animals, Gideon up for the Challenges and happy to help and Henry the Comforter. These are the wonderful personality attributes that are speaking to me when I watch your children on this homestead. You are doing a great job and the blessings will be there when you're on your porch and your children are grown.
Beautifully said❤
You took the words right out of my mouth!! I have so enjoyed watching this lovely family for the past 5 years. The best homesteaders on youtube!!
I felt so sentimental reading this. Every line of it is true.
Well said, I totally agree.
I absolutely love how every child is not only learning how to do these amazing things, but because you talk out your processes, Justin, they are learning to step back and figure out their problems and try different solutions. ❤️🤔
👈👈😊I swear I didn't read your comment first. Before posting similar comment 😊🤜🤛🤣
I'm gonna be honest, I hold my breath every time I watch your videos. I hold my breath a lot!
Go Jonah!!! Alright Justin… this is great!! Can’t wait to see Lilly driving!! ❤👋🙏☺️✌️
These kids are great problem solvers. Even Gideon is starting to figure things out. I love how Justin acknowledges each child’s suggestion and more likely than not tries is. ❤
Congratulations Jonah. Love Josiah's answer to your asking him if he was scared in the car. 🤣🤣
Lily picked the awkward rocks and nailed it, she is a very keen and capable child. She is working hard on the pony points🐎
Me rooting hard for a pony for Lily, I never got mine and still to this day have a longing for it at 61 yrs!
It’s not over Justin. You’ll be teaching and loving those kids the rest of your life ❤
And after that its grandkids!
@@shirleymurphy1958Great Grands 😅
Congratulations Jonah way to go. You all have Great Children. Peace from WV
Congratulations Jonah! So proud of the amazing results you have had since the total hip replacement. It’s wondrous you are off crutches and permitted to drive all in a months time. You now live your life to the full. Rock climbing you did an awesome job. So much joy in this 73 year old great grandmother’s heart to see you become a man. My utmost respect as to your wise choices. Stay well, Jonah. Follow faith, not fear. Hugs from Mare in Texas
Congrats to Jonah! Great climbing Josiah. Lilly can't wait till you get your horse. Gideon, what a good big brother you've become. Henry, love you and your trucks.
Woohoo!! Our kiddo just did his own DMV adventure, too. What a feeling, seeing these babies drive cars!
Good job Jonah!! A new chapter of his life is beginning. If he is going to sit up straight like that when he drives I’d have him move the seat back forward to meet the back of his head 👍
I love the boys hair cut. These boys are so good to help on the farm. It impresses me every time I see them. Thank you for sharing
Congratulations Jonas it's one of the greatest things you'll ever do is learning to drive it gives you freedom and confidence in yourself and your abilities❤
My youngest son is 26 and still doesn't drive. He owns a car but doesn't drive. When I was young, I couldn't wait to get my driver's license. Congratulations to Jonah!
Congratulations Jonah! He will be a great driver. He has the focus and patience. Amazing to see him climb after his surgery.
Congratulations Jonah!! What a year you have had! So happy for you and how you have kept moving forward never giving up. You and your siblings have a wonderful support system and are so blessed.
Congratulations Jonah well done son you did good and made mom and dad so proud….❤ …love how the kids all loved rock climbing and Lilly on the moving blocks was brilliant ❤
CONGRATULATIONS JONAH!!!! What amazing children, such hardworking on the farm.
Great job Jonah! Just remember to adjust speed and distance between vehicles to compensate for the extra time needed for thought processing while gaining experience. Experience is the only way to improve reaction time. You have got this young man!
Oh wow, it is so cool that 15 year olds get permits there. They are 16 for it here (my oldest has his).
Jonah drives great because he has been driving around on the farm forever.
It is so good you tell your sons you are proud of them. That is something every young man wants to hear from their dad!!!
In Iowa they let them get it at 14! Can you believe?
17 here
Wow, that seems very young. I have a 14 year old who hasn't really hit puberty yet so that just seems so strange to let someone his age drive. @@ashleylovepace1941
for a permit?? Wow that is the latest I have heard! @@deannamoreton8253
Kids growing up on farms always have great driving knowledge & usually are driving farm equipment way before their license age, just as your do & will continue to do 😍
Congrats Jonah...I love watching Lily and her mommy cooking side by side...all hands on deck with the sheep...and I love Justin's calm reaction with his kids and letting them figure it out...I just HEART your family...and the banana in the dash, never a dull moment...lol...!
Nice to see Jonah shining once again...from boy in distress to confident, young man! God is good! It's pretty strange to watch the kids growing up right before our eyes if everyone has watched from the beginning... The Rhodes raise meat and wonderful kids who will take on the world and win. :) ps: Thank goodness the boys shaved the mullets off! o.-
iM CRYING AND CHOKING BACK THE EMOTION. HE IS GROWING UP BEFOR OUR EYES.
Yay, Jonah passed! He can drive with his permit. Nice job taking care of the hooves on the sheep and Stud Muffin's crazy nail. Rock climbing for the kids. Nice job driving home Jonah! Thanks for this video Rhodes family!
Honestly I love how you two are absolutely killing it but still showing how hard it’s to parent ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the way you two ask the kids.. What would you do etc..
Teaching great problem solving skills.
Such good time/schedule training also.
Amazing, Family/TEAM players😘👍
I passed my driving test despite the tester having a reputation for failing kids on their first try. Wow that was... a long time ago. xD Indoor rock climbing is awesome, did that in college. The smaller you are, the more of an advantage you have because you can contort and wedge into places that larger individuals cannot. I remember growing up we'd have a farrier out to trim the horse's hooves, but I would clean them out between visits. The dogs always loved chewing on the trimmings. Farrier said it was good for them but I've never actually looked into it.
Awesome Jonah! Congratulations 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎈 👏🏿 🎈 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The kids are turning out great 👍🏼 and kudos to both of you for being such wonderful parents ‼️‼️ they are learning all the values of life ,, Lily is an amazing person knows her mind ,, 💗💗stay blessed always all of you.
As farm kids they know the basics of driving well b4 15yrs old! Love how you have to ask farm kids ' have you got your town shoes?' I despised my 'Sunday' shoes! 😊 till we got stickers in the yard i was always barefoot.
Congratulations Jonah!!!! That is awesome, very proud of you!
Love, love, love this video! My youngest turned 15 this month, also, and passed his learner's permit test. It is a lot to realize they're growing up and needing Mom (or Dad) less to comfort the scrapes and falls or cheers of accomplishment of childhood and more to consult/console/celebrate over more adult things like driving. Absolutely amazing how quickly they change - it's gotten harder to tell Jonah and Josiah apart from farther away. As a Southerner, though, if I had answered any adult with "yeah" I probably would have not been speaking much. LOL I enjoy seeing everybody getting to work and play, too, though. 😊
As someone from Wisconsin, we're all kind of like "yah". I wonder what makes the difference, and if one way is superior to the other. I think we're kind of rude up here.
If Lily is looking for more horse books I recommend The Saddle Club series if you haven't found them already! They were huge back in the day for horse-crazy girls (myself included!). They also turned them into a television series which I believe is on Peacock. Best of luck with the horse adventures!
I have been watching you guy for 7 years that when i was 15yrs old and now i am 22
How exciting for Jonah! My oldest turned 15 in May and got her permit too! It's so hard to just "let go" but also trust they are going to do great things!
Congrats Jonah be safe , BTW you're making me old I've been watching you since you we're a little kid. God bless you
God I love this family, I'm 62 now and my 3 boys are all grown up but when I watch this wonderful family it brings back many memories and call me soft but I do shed tears . you are all awesome.
God Bless you all

Such a thrilling vlog! Congrats, Jonah! And to mom & dad for raising such a kind and confident young man. Josiah was in beast-mode climbing the wall-he too has such a bright future! He’s getting tall! And Lily is fierceness-I value the fact that you haven’t rushed to get her a horse just yet. Owning a large animal like that can be dangerous, it takes many hours of riding/lessons to gain experience and confidence. You guys are doing it the correct way IMO. And Gideon is the most clever little guy there is-he’ll be running circles around you all before you know it. And Henry is sO dang cute!! What a blessed life your kids have! ❤from Lancaster, PA.
PS Rebecca, you were a warrior for Jonah! Now look at him thriving… 🎉
The fellows hair looks so nice!! They are sure workers!! Lily is just plain awesome!!
👍GO Jonah!! Sooo Happy for all your Blessings lately! Luv that smile 😊
Great accomplishments everyone! Thanks for sharing! 🤗💗🇨🇦
Congratulations Jonah! You're beginning a very exciting time in your life. Always put safety first and be a courteous driver. Obey the speed
limit your Dad is right the faster you drive the less time you have to react but most important enjoy yourself. Have fun driving Jonah!
I have to say how much I appreciate how you show every day the trails & how you show realtime homesteading with your children and family ❤️thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and time with us❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations, Jonah. Good job!! May God continue blessing you all ❤
Your two older boys are just getting so mature. Great feel good video
Dad, you’re a back seat driver, but I do understand. Mom didn’t seem like a back seat driver. Can’t believe he is driving! Love you guys! ❤
Congratulations Jonah!!🎉🎉 The rock climbing looked fun. Hope you all have a great day!!
Just a precious family God Bless You all!!!!😇
Congratulations Jonah so proud & happy for you. Congratulations to the proud parents.
He's been driving for years! LOL! Such a beautiful moment, they're growing up too fast!
Congratulations Jonah! Good work Mom and Dad!
Great work! Those 2 boys have their life wide open for opportunity because of how y'all raised them. They are already set for careers with machinery and tools if they want. I just love y'alls child rearing methods. God bless!
Congratulations Jonah, may God be with you always guiding you through this next journey in life,👍🙏
Please bring back a series like your 100 days of X, Y, Z. My wife and I really enjoy that format of your home movies.
My son just got his and no lie I was scared to death my first ride but he aced it congratulations on your success young man 😊
I adore your entire family. God Bless you all
Hey Jonah, keep your space and visibility around you and your vehicle. If you can do that; then you can have many years of accident-free driving. If you have been shown the 2-sec rule of following distance, increase it to 3. Everyone talks about reaction distance, but you must perceive the trouble ahead and check behind. That is your perception distance. It keeps you alive. Always keep your space & visibility bubble. This is the advice I always gave all my students as a Driving Educator.
The trouble is, if you drive in Minneapolis and try to leave 4 car-lengths in front of you, then 5 cars will move into that space. Humans are not much smarter than sheep.
Congratulations, J!🙏👍🤙👏
....proud parents, nursery of smart children ❤😊
Congratulations Jonah! ❤
Congratulations Jonah. I didn't have a doubt in the world....I just knew you would pass. Have a Blessed day.
Your home looks so beautiful. Looking forward to it’s completion
Congratulations Jonah!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Amazing!
Takes me back to almost ten years ago when I was getting my permit. It was one of the first times I had to do something like that on my own. Then came the driving by myself which was so scary at first haha.
Congratulations, Jonah! 😊❤
You just know Uncle Justin was eyeing that dirt track thinking back to his professional mountain boarding days.
Absolute fantastic family these kids can do anything ,they will all be great achievers and lily is a amazing cook , well done jonah 😊😊xx🇬🇧🇬🇧❤
CONGRATULATIONS JONAH!!!🎉🎉
Awesome sauce, you nailed it...great training mom and dad !!!
Congratulations Jonah! 🥳
I hardly recognized them with their hair cuts, such handsome young men. Problem solvers everyone of your children. Good job, Justin and Rebecca.
Congratulations Jonah on passing your Drivers test. Happy Miles (Trails) to you!
Your children are so smart i love all of this
Congrats Jonah!! 🎉
Big day. Oh boy. Great job. I cried for momma. I remember that day with my boys and the license day....when they drive away alone. Oh God. ❤
Congratulations Johna 🛻
Congratulations Jonah. I miss all the boys long locks.
Animals die without their feet, it's nature's ultimate way of taking out the weak. Trimming hooves is like taking care of tires on a car, if you want it to last make sure to check'em every couple weeks/month. We trimmed our own sheep, but cattle needed a visit 1-2 a year by a professional. Worth it though.
Congratulations Jonah, so we'll deserved 🎉
Congrats Jonah🎉 Btw you have your mothers smile!!!!
Happy tears. Congrats Jonah!
Yay way to go Jonah one more feather in your résumé.
Beautiful family😊
Another big step in the family growth. Exciting!
Congratulations Jonah!
Congratulations Jonah great job 👍
Congratulations Jonah❤
Jonah has had quite the year to say the least!
Congratulations Mr. Jonah! Be careful dude!
Josiah is the sweetest. Justin" You're growing up" Josiah: "I'm sorry" The audience: Awwwwwwwww
The lamb with the hernia, try rubbing castor oil into the hernia. It is a great healer.
When your son/J drives maybe tip the seat more upright so he can relax his back some?
Good job Jonah❤❤👋👋👀👀
Congratulations to Jonah on getting his permit. I am liking all the boys haircuts. They were all starting to look like Lily, I had a hard time telling one from the other. Love your children, how willing they are to be hard workers and learning so much.
Haven't watched the video yet but sometimes I try and imagine what it would be like to be one of the Rhodes children and I do not envy them when their first time driving with a learner's permit is broadcast across the internet to a million subscribers. But then I remember there's the editor, so I'm hoping at least they're kind in their footage choices. 😁😁😁😁
Jonah practicing with his mom, mom’s quiet,Jonah practicing with his dad, slow down, slow down, slow down, hahaha!! ❤
Are you scared “a little”,😂😂😂😂. Well done Jonah.
