I've found champion to be my favorite melee class, they have the ability to soak up a lot of hits, while also being able to go on extended killing sprees. I actually prefer them over vanguard now since they can actually take a hit if things go wrong.

Lol vanguard should -NEVER- be getting hit. I personally like vanguard better for this reason!

I'd be happy to do a guide on that once I have done a Rougelike playthrough. That will take a while since right now I am doing a quick Tyrant run and then will be moving on to playing Swansong.

His dps potential is why I sometimes prefer him over Lancelot especially when equipped with a relic which teleports the WK to a nearby enemy for every kill. Though in my case another reason that I use him over Lancelot is that his armor gives of a Crusader Knight vibe.

Yup he's fantastic. I kept Lancelot more so for Lore reasons.

Lancelot is a great support character but his dps is lackluster compared to classical Rage champions. Still a very useful character for different reasons, Inspire alone makes him worth a place in the party

lol, Rage (+ first 3 masteries) with Melee expertise are the best passive skills for Champion class, you need +AP for kill and strike after kill to combo chain kills. White knight is actually better than Black knight, thanks to Blessed Weapon skill (and upgrades), hi doesn't have his mobility, but it can be cheese with Earthsmite ring and Wreath of Bebd (trophy).

Cool I didn't use White Knight very much. If I do a playthrough for the channel I might give him a whirl.

@@SlanderedGaming It's an option, but he doesn't need it, his ok with combo chaining strikes and for AoE Cleave and AoE and range Earth Shaker are enough. Wreath of Bebd will tp user the closes enemi within 8 tiles range after each kill and Earthsmith ring gives him Earth ball skill so other AoE and range dmg skill.
