Damn you didn't just beat him, you absolutely crushed him. I don't know how much work/prep exactly went into making Balin so strong, so I can't really say for sure but this looks like a level of damage that will get nerfed or patched in some way.

Yeah the late game pretty much just becomes getting your Vanguard in position in the first round, then annihilating the entire battlefield in the second. Mordred and other "fighters" do 5, 10, maybe 20 damage on a turn, where the Vanguard can dish out hundreds and hundreds of damage per turn. Very imbalanced and kind of disappointing, almost feels like cheating and I really didn't even do any min/maxing.
Man, is that truly on very hard? Ive finished tge game on hard and it took me 15 turns to beat this guy. It looks like ive underestimated the value of vanguard heroes in late game. My buikd was Mordred, Sir Balan, Merlin and Sir Ector.
Yeah, Very hard. Vanguard is the best solo-target damage dealer due to the many damage multipliers (backstab, stealth, bonus damage vs. debuff and low health).
What deozis said, mages are better for aoe dmg but their single target dmg is not that good compared to vanguards plus being able to backstab a lot of times in a row
i used two vanguards and two sages and killed balor in a quarter of a turn, cause i ended up spending all the consumables i didnt use throughout the campaign. dmg pots, haste pots, and 25% dmg tomes on balin & tristan, and cooldown reset pots and haste pots on isolde and guinevere so there was quadruple inspire. nothing close to the difficulty i experienced in some unbalanced missions like the one to recruit morgana le fay
Man no cutscene or anything made me feel this was another sidequest. I liked the game but the storytelling was weaker than i expected. To add salt to the injury your fellow knights barely have any interaction between them nor the quests they participate in. I could have given this game an easy 8.5/10 but ended being a 6/10.
The end game part feels rushed. No more character progression except items. No voice acting etc... they just wanted to add something for more game length.
Absolutely right. I would say the first few hours of this game are great. You get invested by the story, side missions, soundtrack, items and skills management and the atmosphere of the game as a whole is awesome. But then, as the game progresses, gameplay becomes very repetitive and the story becomes thinner and thinner and then it ends with a whimper. I think they ran out of budget at the end but wanted to include some last minute content but it was for the worse in my opinion. If we ever get a sequel, I'm sure the dev team can make a game even better than this one with the proper time and budget.
@@leikeyloshYou won't get your wish in the sequel in the Roman POV. The Postgame is just the same load of nothing outside of one pre battle line cameos from the Camelot side that go out with no ceremony, eesh poor Mordred. Plus they reused this fight and Wormy too. It really doesn't help that both morality final missions are the same thing with different factions and the same objective, only the final boss is unique though their minions are the same.

I think they rushed the sequel (spinoff?) because the first game was fairly successful but that was clearly a mistake. Still, I believe this team can do much better with the proper time and resources but, as you said, I doubt they'll have the chance given the reception to Legion IX.
