Little vid showing our process for removing all the stock air box parts and side covers on a 2021 Royal Enfield GT650.
This was a 1-off custom job, I am not currently selling kits. If you are local and need one similar please contact me. (Los Angeles Area)
( Yes the cut off frame tabs and frame were re-painted after it was cleaned up. Some processes skipped due to lack of time in a busy shop but you get the idea...One little tab was welded on the new lower battery box to mount the rubber battery hold down strap - i forgot to film this part also...)
    Seats are here tuffside.com/
    Email is on the website.
    Enjoy - Cheers!

Cool looking mod, certainly makes the bike look more “old school”

Nice job! What breather filter size and hose did you use between the two pods? I can’t seem to find any diameter dimensions/measurements on that online to know what to order.

My customer ordered a kit from this place. I just did the job for him. 👍

Bottom end and midrange power would be compromised badly with the pods and the FI might be difficult to remap and get it to run anywhere near correctly.

Hello, add tubing to the throttle bodies then place filters on the tube end. Battery should be in the old air filter box location and not under bike.

Maybe Measure your intake. I don’t remember exactly what size it was. This customer had ordered them ahead of time and we just did the work for him.

Is it safe during rainy season and what's the increase in hp ?

    • @clutchpedalreturnsprg7710

Had a similar set up on a Honda. It was safe during rainy season as long as I kept the intake of the filters above water.

People don't understand that these bikes are engineered with airboxes for a reason and people removing them for aesthetic reasons is absolutely stupid. Not only do you kill the performance of the motorcycle, but also make it difficult to calibrate, and you ruin the life of the engine.

I know this video is a little old at this point but i just did a similar thing to my 650, the only thing I don't know what to do with is MAF sensor (you are holding it at 5:55 in the video ) do you remember where you located it? thanks.

    • @tuffsideseats
      @tuffsideseats  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Its not a MAF its an air temp sensor. It’s located between the pod filters now. We live in California so it’s always about the same here, could be an issue in crazy climates. But a computer remap is always recommended. This Customer is super happy with the new pep of the bike and he rides it daily.

You shot iron filings grinding dust all his bike, that will rust everywhere. Should have shielded the bike.
