Done up by Ric Steele and his folks at Perth based MotoMax in Australia help of a tiny RHB31 turbocharger from the Suzuki Jimny, the power output has risen from a mere 29 hp to 50 bhp; quite an increase we must say. The motorcycle though, continues to use the same compression ratio of 8.5:1 in order to retain its reliability. The boost is limited to 7 psi from 3000 rpm with the help of a Power Commander V with an AutoTune module.

Great update, but the turbo needs forced oil pressure, not the one we see on the head, which is unforced. If you continue to use unforced oil pressure, the same thing is going to happen, the bearings will wear out soon!

Hoi Bhai, until this its ok, you also need to add Blow Off Valve in intake line, to reduce pressure in intake line while closing the accelerator (closing butterfly valve). Without blowoff valve turbo cause turbo compressor wheel to damage due to high pressure in intake.

Bro thts the reason I was telling you tht TC requires forced (with pressure).oil.
Simply pouring oil wont help.
This are called flot type bearing.
Now don't run the TC with pouring oil....
Hope you understand.

Hi.
I’m an Automobile professional and want to post my views and suggestions on this.
This turbocharger will not work with this engine. It will just add huge turbo lag, not any BHP to this bike. Let’s discuss the reasons.
1. Turbochargers need at least 2000 RPM just to actuate and deliver performance above 2500-3000 RPM. (In case of 3 or 4 cylinder car engines) This single cylinder long stroke engine which normally runs about 3000-3500 RPM will not produce enough exhaust pressure to run the turbocharger fast enough to add on some extra horses.
2. As per my experience with this engine turbocharger will actuate at around 4000 RPM and deliver optimum performance around 7000-8000 RPM which is far beyond the capacity of this engine.
3. This turbocharger is oversized, hence requires more exhaust pressure to run it.
4. For an instance let’s assume you did it and engine managed to run it somehow, how will you adjust Air Fuel ratio pre turbo actuation and post turbo actuation?
Not possible on carbureted engine and very much costly, complex and complicated for FI engine.
There are many more problems with this project but comment is getting longer…
Do it for fun and your learning if you want but don’t expect improvement in performance. Be safe. Good luck..🤞

Turbocharger works at very high temperature (800-1000’C) that’s why an intercooler is used with turbocharger to cool down the compressed air before sending it to combustion chamber. Sending hot air directly will cause pre-ignition, engine misfiring and knocking.
Turbocharger jitna simple dikhta hai utna hota nahi hai…
Try supercharger with this engine not turbocharger. It will be more beneficial and will also work perfectly.
@@Shashank_Dubey there's no supercharger available in the market for this type of engine and making custom positive displacement supercharger is next to impossible without proper cutting edge machines and expertise.

@@striple765 Use this turbo to make a centrifugal supercharger. Just replace the turbine with a spur gear or sprocket. Make mounts for it.
Either mount it at the self start motor if using gear or simply with pinion sprocket.
Choose ratios to get maximum supercharger RPM.
But again problems associated with air fuel ratio persist. Not possible for carbureted engine. FI will require a fine tuning and remapping.

Bro 1 tip i want to give that you installed the is wastegate type it comes with waste gate acutuator that works with vacuum it opens the valve on the exhaust side which reduces the load on turbo....so, fix that actuator in the turbo to protect the turbine and for long life....👍👍🙏👍👍👍
