    What a kind, hard working man. This is why I have a soft spot for the elderly immigrants; hard working, honest, and grateful for everything. The way he spoke reminded me of my late grandma too

      First off, what evidence do you have to prove the story is fake? Just because the story CAN be potentially fabricated doesn't mean it IS for a fact fake. That's a common fallacy.
      Second, "WHITEWASH a coward & TRAITOR!!!" I assume you refer to Lee Kuan Yew? Oh, the disrespect! Look, nobody is perfect, and his leadership definitely isn't to everyone's tastes, but it is undeniable that without him, Singapore might barely survive. The economy might be so bad you might never get a chance to sit confortably at home and angrily blame LKY on your keyboard. And why is he a TRAITOR!!! ?
      Lastly, don't you think it makes for a more intriguing story for Lee Kuan Yew to have had a more dangerous survival story?

    That one decision to "go back and take his clothes" forever changed the history of Singapore. It's amazing how one little split second decision can change the world so much. George W. Bush also made such a split second decision that led to him surviving WW2 and forever changed history.

    This man Mr Koh was from Fukien province of Putien Henghwa.
    Most of them came to Nanyang in Dutch Indonesia, British Malaya and Singapore as rickshaw pullers.

    Lee was the second smartest person in Singapore (his wife was first!) and realized his dream of an independent, safe, affluent Singapore.

    The another important lucky coincidence was also how : Imperial Japanese soldiers who noticed Lee Kuan Yew missing escaped then searched around already ended their duty shift. And then the next shift's on-duty soldiers did not know to continue or just unimportantly forgot so did not bother to!

    No wonder our late PM has such great leadership…because of his mother’s wonderful great n gracious upbringing; good begets good (instilling Chinese values n culture n roots in her children) in which tats what the late PM LKY wished Singapore to be….a gracious country but sad to say😢a huge influx of foreigners who dun share the same visions and sentiments n values, r only here for the $$$ is gonna change the values of Singapore ….so sad 😢to see LKY’s efforts going down the drain…

    "Saving a life is better than building a seven level pagoda" - A Chinese saying, which Mr Koh Teong Koo lived and managed to sort of 'Save a Country' through saving one man whom would changed the whole country trajectory. Small Man Great Heart!! (very similar to the Singapore we all know of~ small country with a big heart) =)
