50,000 Vietnamese Women raped by South Korean soldiers during the Vietnam war and 20,000 mixed children with South Korean soldiers are still awaiting apology from South Korean's government and South Korean people.
Campaign group urges recognition for women affected by sexual violence of South Korean troops and the children born as a result
Totally 320,000 South Korean soldiers were deployed to Vietnam to fight alongside the US between 1964 and 1973, but the story of the country’s involvement in the conflict is largely untold. South Korea has never acknowledged claims of sexual violence allegedly perpetrated by its troops against thousands of women and girls, some as young as 12 - or the children born as a result.

As a Korean, I’m not sure whether other countries learn about this but I’m 100% sure that we’ve learnt what some of the Korean soldiers did when they were fighting in Vietnam war. We Korean learn about it during Korean History class (한국사). Not all Korean soldiers did that bad things but ofc it’s true that there’s something that makes harm Vietnamese. I feel very sorry about this.

When I was a teen, I remember a Japanese student being surprised by some of the atrocities Japanese soldiers committed. She thought Japanese soldiers during WW2 were "nice." The image Americans get of Kamikazes, underhanded ambushes, and massacres against POWs and civilians by Japanese troops isn't taught in Japan at all, which is sad, because they don't understand why a lot of their neighbors still sometimes hold grudges.

The horrible Gegenm Massacre and rapes of many Japanese women and civilians by Soviet Union's soldiers and Chinese in Manchuria in the WW2.
The Gegenmiao massacre, also known as the Gegenmiao incident, was a massacre and rapes conducted by the Soviet Army(one of Allied Forces members in the WW2) and a part of the local Chinese population against over half of a group of 1,800 Japanese women and children who had taken refuge in the lamasery Gegenmiao/Koken-miao (葛根廟) on August 14, 1945, during the Soviet invasion of Manchuria.
The massacre occurred in Gegenmiao/Koken-miao (present day: Gegenmiao zhen; 葛根廟鎭), a town in the Horqin Right Front Banner of the Hinggan League of Inner Mongolia. Refugees were shot, run over by tanks or trucks, and bayoneted by the red army after they raised a white flag. After two hours, well over one thousand Japanese refugees, mostly women and children, had been killed. Angry Chinese chased a group of Japanese refugees into a river, where many drowned. Some women were stripped and raped by soldiers. A woman was stripped and killed by Chinese after her child was killed by Soviet Red Army soldiers. One family tried to hide in the trenches, but were pursued and gunned down by Soviets. They also beat mothers into submission in order to steal children. In the market a Japanese boy could sell for 300 yen, a girl for 500 yen.
By the end of the killings over 1000 people had died.

And the GHQ of Allied Forces requested the Occupied Japan's Government to set up many brothels recruiting many Japanese women in many places of Japan for 7 years till Allied Forces left from Japan. By the way colonial administriation is not same as the home administriation; obviously living in an India under the British administration doesn't give you the same rights as a British citizen. Britian has great achivements; but if some complains about Japan for her dark past, then one should do to same for British Empire for subjugating wealth of the half of the world, for inventing consentriation camps and racial theories that insipered Nazis, for the Bengali famine etc.

This really put our thinking to the test, sometimes, people forget things, shadowed by their own pride and glory too ignorant to accept defeat and apologize for their own peoples atrocities. But if we place ourselves in the shoes of the Japanese people right now, their modern history must be a shame to even broach but it is a fact they can't run away from. I'm sure the common Japanese people feel regret and disgust by their own peoples action but Japanese people are not represented by the people sadly, as they are after all "Westernised".

In an interview with Professor Chunghee Sarah Soh of San Francisco State University , one of former Korean camp follower women in the WW2 or in the Korean War Kim Sun-ok said that she was sold by her parents four times. But of course there was no condemnation from Communist China at all !!!
Communist China at last started to condemn Japan regarding the Yaskuni Shrine matter after Japan's Social Party visitted Communist China and suggested and instigated Communist Chinese leaders to condemn Japan rgarding the Yashuni Shrine from one of political tools.
Since 1985 till now Communist China keep condemning Japan regarding the Yasukuni Shrine matter from above absord and meaningless reason and propagandas.. Communist Chinese may be servants or slaves of Anti-Japan Japanese activists, Communist and Socialist Japanese Parties and the Japan's Left massmedias.

The head of the International Propaganda Division of KMT( Chiang Kai-shek's Army) Zeng Xubai confessed by himself in his diary as below.
Zeng Xubai (曽虚白), head of the International Propaganda Division (国際宣伝処処長), wrote autobiography “Zeng Xubai Zichuan (曽虚白自伝)” which says as follows:
“Conveniently, Timperley was one of the three important persons who attended the ‘resistance committee’ in Shanghai when we were engaging in anti-Japan international propaganda there…
"We decided that, in the present international propaganda operations, Chinese must not come forefront, and that we must find international friends who understand our thinking as well as strategy in the war, and who would become our spokesmen.
"Timperley was an ideal candidate. As a start, we decided to pay money and ask Timperley and Smythe, via Timperley, to write two books as record of witness on Nanking Massacre by the Japanese army, and to publish them… Afterwards, Timperley acted accordingly… two books were fast-selling items and achieved the objective of propaganda.

The above number shows how population grew after Japanese troops entered the Nanjing City on 1937 December 13. Those who blame Japan (like author of "The Rape of Nanking" Iris Chiang and Communist China etc.) claim that Japan's Imperila Army massacred "300,000 innocent Hans". But there were 200,000 Hans in the safety zone in Nanking being strictly guarded by Japanese soldiers at that time. So, the simple arithmetic destroys the claim and propagandas of Communist Hans that Japan's Imperila Army massacred 300,000 Hans in Nanking.
How could the population growths have happened when Japanese soldiers were allegedly committing "horrendous and criminal" massacre, killing untold number of innocent women and children?
    Answer: Impossible.

Moreover, these things were said 25 years after the war. If there really was such a big event, they would have said it right away, and considering the ethnicity of the Chinese people, they would have aimed to destroy Japan right after the war. Totally, how long are you people going to be fooled by CCP's propaganda? It's pathetic.

    2023.10.26 South Korea

    S. Korea's Top Court Reverses Ruling against Comfort Women Book Author
South Korea's top court on Thursday overturned a lower court ruling that found the author of a book on so-called comfort women guilty of defamation.
The Supreme Court sent the case back to the Seoul High Court, while indicating its intention to acquit the author, Park Yu-ha, honorary professor at Sejong University in South Korea.
In June 2014, former comfort women and others filed a criminal complaint against Park, saying that some statements in her book "Comfort Women of the Empire" had harmed their reputations.
In the book, first published in August 2013, Park said that comfort women, or those who worked as prostitutes for Japanese troops before and during World War II, had a comrade-like relationship with the Japanese side.
In November 2015, prosecutors indicted Park, arguing that she had severely damaged the public reputation of former comfort women and deviated from academic freedom. Meanwhile, some intellectuals in Japan and South Korea criticized the indictment as a violation of academic freedom.

The horrible Gegenm Massacre and rapesof many Japanese women and civilians by Soviet Union in Manchuria in the WW2.
The Gegenmiao massacre, also known as the Gegenmiao incident, was a massacre conducted by the Soviet Army(one of Allied Forces members in the WW2) and a part of the local Chinese population against over half of a group of 1,800 Japanese women and children who had taken refuge in the lamasery Gegenmiao/Koken-miao (葛根廟) on August 14, 1945, during the Soviet invasion of Manchuria.

"(Japan) doesn't have to say sorry, you had contributed towards China, why? Because had Imperial Japan did not start the war of invasion, how could we communist became mighty powerful? How could we stage the coup d'état? How could we defeat Chiang Kai Shek? How are we going to pay back you guys? No, we do not want your war reparations!"
-Mao Zedong greeting Japanese Prime Minister Kakuei in Nanjing, 1972
Here's Mao praising Japan's contribution to his war effort
"Those Japanese were real good. Without Japanese's help, China's [Communist] revolution would not have suceeded. I said the same thing to a Japanese, a capitalist, by the name of nanxiang sanlang(?).He kept on saying: 'Sorry, we did invade China' I said to him: 'Don't say that, on the contrary, Japanese helped us (Communist) in a big way', especially Japanese warlords and the Japanese Emperor."
-Mao Zedong's conversation with American journalist Edgar Snow, 1970
Mao Zedong's communists were on the retreat across China from the Republic of China until Japan's timely intervention saved him. The Republic of China's military suffered over 3 million casualties from their best trained and equipped units fighting Japan, as well as over 20 million civilian deaths.
The Republic of China was obligated (even though Chiang Kai Shek stalled as long as he could as he considered other Chinese greater threats than Japan) to defend her civilians against invaders which meant pitched battles in urban environments against the brunt of Japanese mechanized forces, while Mao Zedong could afford to retreat into the countryside and fight a guerrilla war ambushing small groups of Japanese soldiers.
By the time the Japanese Empire was defeated, Mao had regained his strength (thousands of Japanese who surrendered were even recruited to Mao's forces) and finished off the weakened Republic.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 3. - American professors remaining at Ginling College in Nanking as foreign members of the Refugee Welfare Committee were seriously embarrassed to discover that they had been harboring a deserted Chinese Army colonel and six of his subordinate officers. The professors had, in fact, made the colonel second in authority at the refugee camp.
The officers, who had doffed their uniforms during the Chinese retreat from Nanking, were discovered living in one of the college buildings.
They confessed their identity after Japanese Army searchers found they had hidden six rifles, five revolvers, a dismounted machine gun and ammunition in the building.
The ex-Chinese officers in the presence of Americans and other foreigners confessed looting in Nanking and also that one night they dragged girls from the refugee camp into the darkness and the next day blamed Japanese soldiers for the attacks.
The ex-officers were arrested and will be punished under martial law and probably executed.

You may just be acknowledging the pictures but the tone makes you sound like someone who just wants to point out flaws in things or people, or just seek attention. The Japanese apologize for the war crimes and atrocities they committed, and just want to move on and forget that dark time in their history. Totally 320,000 South Korean soldiers were deployed to Vietnam to fight alongside the US between 1964 and 1973, but the story of the country’s involvement in the conflict is largely untold. Lee Ok-seon (Former Korean camp follower in the WW2),92 years old in 2019, who worked at several brothels during the WW2 at the age of 16 after being abducted by two KOREAN MEN not by Japanese soldiers and the Japanese, testified that at age 12 she received a sound beating from her own father for asking to be sent to a Kisaeng (prostitute)school.
Such narratives do not exonerate Korea and its patriarchal system of oppressing their own women and girls long before the Japanese drafted them into the women's volunteer labor corps to "support efforts in aircraft manufacturing and other essential industries.
The former Korean camp follwer women told the truth as much as their memories allowed, especially only in their early published testimonies, indicting mostly Japan, but also Korea. Whatever may have been the motives of some Korean shameless activists organization (The Korean Council for Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan)who are supported by Communist China and North Korea to demonize and blame Japan with a fabricated fiction and "coach" the former camp followers, they don't notice at all they were and still are manipulated for a maliciuos and mere political tool to blame and defame Japan with lies and fabricated fiction.

That could leave the South without enough soldiers needed to ward off an invasion, the Chosun Ilbo newspaper warned. It also expressed doubt that innovations in artificial intelligence can go far enough to mitigate the need for human recruits.
"The extremely low birthrate deals a catastrophic blow to not only national defense but also to health care and welfare," the Chosun article stated.
The worsening situation has many in the country grasping for solutions. The South Korean government has brought forth measures including free universal day care and guaranteed maternity leave, but those moves have not succeeded in inducing families to have more children.
Midterm projections for economic growth are meager, and the current government has pledged to cut spending, which could leave policymakers with fewer options. While South Korea has no history of large-scale immigration, the current government has expanded the use of migrant labor to address labor shortages.
Inha University professor Lee Jae-woo suggested that the government should take more aggressive steps, such as providing inexpensive rental housing units to new parents and developing artificial intelligence-based tools to provide alternatives to expensive private tutoring.
"The government and society must make all efforts for our country to be reborn as a place that is good for raising children," Lee told Nikkei Asia. "If we don't solve the problem of the low birthrate, South Korea will disappear."

A case of a KOREAN camp follower " Mun Oku-chu" in the WW2.
A former Korean camp follower woman in the WW2 Mun Oku-chu said in her memoir: "I was recruited by a Korean camp follower's owner. I saved a considerable amount of money from tips, so I opened a saving account. I could not believe that I could have so much money in my saving account. One of my friends collected many jewels, so I went and bought a diamond. I often went to see Japanese movies and Kabuki plays in which players came from the mainland Japan. I became a popular woman in Rangoon. There were a lot more officers in Rangoon than near the frontlines, so I was invited to many parties. I sang songs at parties and received lots of tips. I put on a pair of high heels, a green coat and carried an alligator leather handbag. I swaggered about in a fashionable dress. No one in town could guess that I was a camp follower woman. I felt very happy and proud. I received permission to return home, but I didn't want to go back to Korea.
I wanted to stay in Rangoon." According to Professor Ahn Byong Jik of Seoul University, Mun Oku-chu continued to work as a prostitute in Korea after the war. Yet she testified before UN Special Rapporteur Radhika Coomaraswamy that she was abducted by the Japanese military.

Only people that saved and helped the Jew at the risk of their lives could be listed by the Jew in Israel. Those brave and honorable 3 Japanese in the WWII are as below. Mr. Chiune Sugihara(1900-1986), diplomat of the Imperial Japan, Mr. Kiichirou Higuchi(1880-1970), Army Lieutenant General of the Japan's Imperial Army, Mr. Norihiro Yasue(1888-1950),Army Colonel of the Japan's Imperial Army. Descendants of Mr. Sugihara and Higuchi are still invited to Israel to be praised by Jews in Israel as below. At that time in the WW2 only Japan's Imperial Army rescued systematically 90 thousands Jewish refugees from Europe via Siberia in Manchuria. Hideki Toujyo was their big boss and Hideki Toujyo supported them to save those Jew refugees from Europe in spite German NAZI claimed and opposed severely to Japan's Imperial Army. But after the end of the WW2 Allied Forces hang Hideki Toujyo and other 6 Japanese with death for war criminals at at the Tokyo Revenge Tribunal in 1946 in Japan with Ex-Post Facto Law.

The salary of a Petty officer of Japan's Imperial Army was Yen 15 per month. Everyone will notice how big money Korean War Prostitutes could earn in the WW2.

The Japanese army forced their soldiers to take amphetamines to stimulate the war mindset. They made Unit 731 and experimented on my (Filipino) ancestors without anesthesia. They tortured American POWs and cannibalized them. They destroyed so many important artifacts, forced labor, and stole many goods to be sent back to Japan. I grew up hearing about Japanese WW2 atrocities, but only recently did I find out they were taking stimulants, which made their b@+sh!+ craziness make sense. What makes it worse is that these aren't being taught in Japanese school and most Japanese youth don't even know what a Swastika symbolizes. The only area that might be aware of Japanese atrocities more than the rest are residents of Hiroshima and this is because they were the ones nuclear bombed by the Americans.

It was said in the video that Japan wants to erase their past. I even saw one comment here on youtube that a Filipino guy became bestfriends with some Japanese people. And when they heard about stories of the Filipino guy's grandparents during WWII, they immediately apologized for the actions of their ancestors. Probably because they don't even know that Japan was a big threat during those wars.

This is the horrible reality of all Korean camp followers in the WW2.All Korean camp followers deceived all people in the world.
Probe finds gross misappropriation of funds at care facility for Korean camp follower
    August 2020
A large portion of public donations, meant to be used for Korean camp followers in the WWII, was found to have been set aside for other purposes, including buying land, a probe team said Tuesday.
The House of Sharing, a shelter for the victims in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, collected approximately 8.8 billion won ($7.43 million) in public donations from 2015-2019, Song Ki-chun, the head of the probe team, said.
Of the total donations, only 200 million won, or 2.3 percent, has been used to cover the living expenses of the Korean camp followers, the team found, adding the rest was used to buy land to build memorial centers, parks and facilities or earmarked for future construction.
The shelter is the house of five elderly "camp followers," who worked at brothels during World War II.
"The process (of raising funds) remained largely murky, with the total sum (of the funds) and its usage not being properly made public," Song said during a press conference held at the office of the Gyeonggi government in Suwon, south of Seoul.
Last month, the team, comprising public officials and civic experts, conducted the probe into the alleged mismanagement of the shelter in four major categories -- facility management, book keeping, human rights and historical value.
Song, a law professor at JeonBuk National University, also pointed out that the shelter failed to report to the Ministry of Interior and Safety about donations more than 10 million won, as required by the local law.
The team also found evidence of verbal abuse by caregivers toward some ailing victims who have difficulty in talking and moving around. The average age of the five victims is 95.
Song suggested the forming of a consultative body made up of public and civic experts to address the issues and urged the local governments to help execute measures suggested by the body.
In May, the decadeslong South Korean civic movement to shed light on the Korean camp followers became embroiled in controversy when Lee Yong-soo, one of the 17 South Korean surviving victims, publicly accused a civic group of mistreatment and misuse of public funds

Germany always had an apologetic tone regarding their past, they never denied it, they never hid it and they always apologized for their war crimes, including the genocide. Japan on the other hand pretends that they never did anything wrong during that period, therefore there is no reason to apologize. The most disgusting thing is that their emperor at the time hirohito knew everything that went on but he and his family lived the same life style after the war for the rest of their lives while their people paid the price for it. Imagine if Hitler got away with everything he did.

The authors say that increasing government spending on family benefits from the current 1.4% of GDP to the OECD average of 2.2% could modestly boost the fertility rate.
Adding fuel to the fevered conversation was a New York Times column published over the weekend. The headline asks, "Is South Korea disappearing?" The column then attempts to answer that question, citing figures stating that the current birthrate and the pace of its decline suggest that South Korea's population could contract from the current 51 million to 35 million by the late 2060s.
Columnist Ross Douthat follows that with doom-laden descriptions of where South Korea finds itself, how it got there and why the state of affairs is likely to keep deteriorating. He posits that if the current birthrate continues, the country will experience "a depopulation exceeding what the Black Death delivered to Europe in the 14th century."
Though Douthat is not known for writing on East Asian demographics, the stark language in the column, coming from a prestigious U.S. media outlet, led to front-page stories and prime-time news coverage. Responses to the column in conservative media highlighted Douthat's mention of North Korea's birthrate, which at 1.8 is below the replacement level of 2.1, but still more than double that of South Korea.

Reflection is not caused by someone's request or coercion.
It means a state in which you recognize a mistake in your own mind, regret it, feel sad, and decide not to repeat it again.
Therefore, the attitude of a person who reflects is consistent.
This is the result of self-reflection that Germany has made and educated its own laws, regardless of anyone's coercion, and has so far tried to protect its citizens on their own.
However, the apology of an unrepentant person continues to change.
Repeating "I'm sorry", "I'm not sorry", "I'm sorry", "I'm not sorry", "I'm sorry", "I'm not sorry" over and over again is not called an apology, nor does it count as having apologized multiple times.
Japan's first compensation was made under the Korea-Japan Treaty, at which time Japan denied any war crimes and did not acknowledge them at all. Therefore, the treaty cannot include reparations related to war crimes. The title of the compensation paid by Japan in this treaty was the despicable title “Independence Congratulations.”
They wanted to be seen by other countries as being considerate rather than compensating. Just by looking at the title, you can tell who this payment is for. Although Japan opposed this treaty until the very end, it was forced to come to fruition due to pressure from the United States, which wanted Korea and Japan to reconcile and focus on its role as a Cold War shield.
Japan's first comfort women compensation agreement was "a fundraiser for women's human rights around the world." This was also created as a result of the United States' attempt to achieve Cold War cooperation through reconciliation between the two countries. This was carried out as if it was not a payment for their own war crimes, but to instill the perception that good Japan was helping poor women who existed against their will. Naturally, the victims were angry.
The second comfort women agreement covered in the video above was also carried out rapidly under pressure from the United States, so it was hastily announced without properly listening to the victims' opinions or communicating about the desired direction. Likewise, the victims were angry.
This agreement was the dirtiest and ugliest agreement ever made by Japan.
In the agreement, the two countries agreed to cooperate to comfort the hearts of the victims. As for the cost of establishing an institution to comfort the hearts of the victims, the Korean government agreed to pay for real estate and human resources, and the Japanese government agreed to pay for the establishment of the institution. , which will work together to comfort the victims step by step, and once the victims' hearts are relieved and they are forgiven, they will consider moving the comfort women statue in front of the current Japanese Embassy.
Additionally, in the process of comforting the victims, both countries agreed to refrain from criticizing the comfort women issue.
However, as soon as the agreement was concluded, all Japanese media reported maliciously as if the Korean government had sold out the victims in exchange for money, and began criticizing that since the money had been paid, the comfort women statues should be immediately removed as promised.
In other words, as soon as the agreement was announced, the Japanese media violated the contents of the agreement, distorted and falsely reported the contents, and began to report to the world as if this problem was solved with money.
Naturally, the victims felt that the Korean government had sold them out for money, so they expressed tremendous anger and criticized both the Japanese and Korean governments.
Afterwards, Prime Minister Abe made no effort to console the victims and took advantage of his political supporters by telling them that he had used their money to end the issue forever.
Naturally, the establishment of an institution with the money Japan had deposited was in vain due to massive false reports in the Japanese media immediately after the agreement, and Korea requested that the funds be taken back, but Japan refused, refusing to talk, saying the comfort women issue was over.
War criminals who created comfort women are still enshrined at Yasukuni Shrine, called heroes, and the Prime Minister and high-ranking government officials visit the shrine every year.
