I want to say that your product is amazing! I had my five tier original greenstalk in my kitchen with the mover on a wet boot tray. I tried to move it without help. Needless to say, the green stalk with support fell over! Totally my fault, but the amazing part; your product held up including the support. Today, only a couple of days after ordering the spiner, I set up the green stalk and it works outstandingly! I am anxious now for all my plants to grow and provide for my husband and I.
This looks like a major improvement from my current system. Can you guys try to lower the price of the spinning bases though? Or offer a significant volume discount when buying 3 or more?

I think I am over anxious. It is too much winter here in Wisconsin but I wanted to see if everything “fit”. I now see I need to wait to fill with dirt and then add the watering disks. I tried putting it together and the watering disks didn’t seat very well but I guess without dirt, they won’t! Can’t wait to plant.
hello, i am purchasing two 3-tier systems this week. can you tell me approx how many 2 or 3 cu ft bags of potting soil i would need to fill both properly? i'm only growing hot peppers and 1 small determinate tomato variety and i am trying to limit my trips to home depot so i want to make sure i get enough the first trip. thanks!
My two 3 layer originals took about 3.5 of 2cu ft bags to fill level.

I got one about a month ago. So far my plants look great. Can’t wait for harvest time.
Just got mine and I love it! The only thing is that it did not come with a plug for the hose, but I had a rubber stopper from ACE hardware that was the size I needed.
When planting can you add 3 seeds in one compartment and add a small plant in same compartment like cilantro? So when the small plant grows by the time you use it or harvest the new seeds will sprout??

I’d like to say that you don’t bury pepper stalk like you would a tomato plant. Pepper plants don’t have roots running up stalk, it could actually kill plant.
I haven’t found that to be true. I plant tomatoes and peppers both deeply. In fact I planted peppers today. Maybe something else caused the problem you had?

I purchased your system many months ago and have tried planting seeds several times. We have lots of squirrels and rabbits. How do you keep squirrels from digging after planting seeds? And rabbits from eating plants in lower pockets?Any suggestions?

You can add bird netting. You will probably need to protect the harvest from birds later as well.
You make a wall of chicken wire with a top and bottom. Those animals are very smart and are use to out smarting humans. Wish u well
Do I need to plug the hole when filling until it reaches the correct tier line or should I just let it run until it reaches the line?

No, bases do not come with the planters. You will need to order one of theirs or create your own solution.

They get heavy so if you don’t have an issue picking them up after planting
Is there any reason why I shouldn't *not* fill one of the levels all the way up with soil if the plants have shallow roots and I need to conserve potting mix?
Yes! Please fill your planter up all the way with potting mix. If you do not, plants can become leggy due to lack of sunlight. In addition, the stems can break over the edge as the plant grows. Let us know if you have any further questions. Happy gardening!
Wow i dont strong enough to put them together after filling soils into it.
I filled each layer half full, stacked it on top of a full layer, finished filling. Filled another half, stacked on top of full, finished filling. Worked great! I'm 70yo.

If it didn't come with a watering system it isn't a GreenStalk Garden.
I went to order another greenstalk in the mint green but you no longer carry that color. Disappointed.

No. Depends on the plant. Go to the blog section of their website to find the planting guides.
Is there a way to make this planter self-watering so it can be left for a week or two and water itself?
Not a week or two. You would need to hook it to a drip irrigation system for that. The tower includes a "top" that holds water and is good for a couple days. I purchased one this year and will be featuring it on my channel if you would like to follow and get updates as I grow. . .
How often do you have to fill the water up on top twice a week?
@@suzannesnyder5694 I am watering mine twice a week currently - 8a, Alabama. That will possibly change as we heat up, but I checked the bottom today and it was nice. I planted cowpeas - the whole tower. Running behind because of work but I'll have videos soon and continuing through the season. Depending on your area and climate (rain and heat) I would check the pockets and water accordingly.
