I bought one and didn’t get to really use it because my oldest son moved out and only had a balcony. I enjoyed watching him start seeds just before he moved and I blessed him with it as he went. What mom wouldn’t?
Last year, my fiancé and I started a garden. Went WAY over our heads with how much space everything needed so we had to add on this year. But last year was such a big struggle for us. So many bugs that we never saw on our property before that destroyed our squash and zucchini. Or the worms that ate the cabbage. And don’t get me started on the poor tomatoes! We’ve made a lot of progress so far this year and hoping to continue with that. We ran out of room for some of our plants so we’re planting things in random spots just so they live right now, but that’s what you get when the excitement for more plants takes over 😂 we are just very glad that we found your TH-cam page. We’ll be gardening together ❤️
Plant petunias at the base of all your squash, zucchini and cucumber plants to deter those little monster bugs. It works like a charm. Also, a bottle of BT saved all our cabbages this year. Just spray at night and after heavy rains and you'll be so happy you did. :)

I just planted my Greenstalk this week. Easier to put together than I thought. Just needed help with the top tier because I'm not tall. I LOVE it! Easiest thing in the garden to water and I look forward to a summer filled with herbs, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and beans.
Hi. I just found your sight. I'm having financial trouble and am going to have to grow my own veggies. If you ever have an extra vertical garden I would appreciate one so much
I have to show this to my youngest son . We have been trying to make something like this on our own to give us a chance to grow more in the space that we have .
I just bought one of these for my kids and grandkids, planted it out today with summer veggies , herbs , strawberries, and flowers. Hope it works as well as you say!
Love the idea of planting flowers in one of these with crops to help bring in pollinators. Finally getting to grow a larger garden again this year after living in an apartment for a few years. Wish I knew this existed while living there.
I learn so much from your station. My first year growing was a complete disaster but a winter of watching you and last year my veggies actually produced. This year I am expanding and trying new crops. I can't wait to start growing vertically. Thank you so much for all the relatable education you provided.
I'm here in Beaumont, CA and I have the Green Leaf 5 tier, but added 1 Original Tray at the bottom. This year I have herbs, a leek, flowers, and 18 dwarf heirloom tomatoes - 6 of 3 different varieties: Bendigo Rose, Clare Valley, and Banana Toes. Because it is so very windy here, I put a garden stake down the middle hole and bungee corded it to my covered patio. It is extremely well built and I urge anyone who buys one to also get the Greenstalk Mover, which is the wheeled base. My biggest issue is that it was drying out so much that I was having to water several times each day. I suspect my soil has too much peat moss in it. So, to circumvent the issue, I've connected drip irrigation and now it is too wet! The drip irrigation is fixable though! People in other zones will probably not have the 9B heat and wind that is experienced here. I do recommend this vertical system over others (I didn't want the vermi-compost one). I edited this to add -- 25 years of gardening is just a great start! I'm gardening for twice that long!
Thanks Kevin, perfect timing. I ordered a Mr Stacky months ago and the boxes have been gathering dust while we waited for the neighbours to finish up the shared retaining wall/earthworks/fence boundary. Now Mr Stacky is ready to be released from his cardboard confines and take over a nice spot along the fenceline! Your vertical garden videos are what inspired me to try this set up. I'm so excited to get started.
I’ve been doing hydroponic gardening since December, but as it’s just barely warming up in my part of Michigan I’ve been looking at vertical options for my backyard. This looks amazing.
Good luck to everyone! Was watching your videos this morning and I got motivated to go outside and take in the beauty of my 2 raised beds. I’m so excited for harvest time! Excited for that mulch as well! Got my first Ashitaba plant. I bought a pretty pot for it. I’m just generally excited today. Love from Tejas! 💜🌱💜🐝💜🌱💜
I love the green stalk! I have a leaf that I am using to grow strawberries. I live in LA and grow in a small corner in my front year with 2 of the Birdies raised beds. The old Epic Garden was my inspiration! Thank you Kevin! And I will definitely keep on growing!
I purchased my first 5 tiered Greenstalk this year. I was so impressed that I bought one for my Mom for Mothers Day. I don't have the Leaf system yet, but, I hope to get one soon.
I appreciate Kevin’s easygoing and approachable attitude to gardening! A good attitude is almost as beneficial as that amazing, sunny Cali weather. P.s. Anyone know how these vertical gardens do in *windy* areas? I want one, but I’d hate to see my garden get toppled in a 15 mph rain storm.
Absolutely love this channel! Each year my backyard garden grows and I try new things. This channel has helped guide me through many questions and has help me try things I hadn’t tried before. Thanks
We planted out two of the 7-tier GreenStalks with bare-root strawberries back in March in Zone 6. We've already got ~5 baby strawberries growing in each pocket. We added some snap dragon seedlings to the few empty spots where the strawberries didn't take. We have it up near the wall of our white house and the plants don't seem to mind less frequent rotation (~1x a week)
Kevin, you’re amazing! It just seems like whatever gardening question is on my mind, you happen to discuss at just the right time. I know the channels take a lot of work but I just want to let you know how appreciated they are. Have a great weekend!

I am a novice gardener. I'm learning because my daughter just bought a house and she dreams of growing all of her own food. So thank you for the Hot Tips on how I can get her started!
I have a 4.5'x8' "deck' on my apartment. I started out planting large leaf house plants and moving them to the deck becasue is would reduce the temperature. My dog loved lying out there and doesn't have much tolerance for heat from direct sunlight. The shade and cooler temp provided by the plants were just what he needed. He is 80 lbs with lots of fur. Next year I expanded out feeling my chili head roots by building a shelf and planting super hot peppers in grow bags. This year my home bound neighbor wants me to use her deck and the property managers said I can plant along the building and on a sloped hill side by my building where I will plant squashes, tomatoes, Brussell sprouts and others. I tried planting squash in grow bags on my deck but my dog ate them. The GreenStalk Garden looks like an interesting system becasue for me watering can be challenging. Keep up the great videos.
I’ve been “growing” crazy with peppers. I would definitely fill that with all the diff kinds I’ve been getting. Some tiny tims and cilantro. A salsa garden!
My nephew is suppose to get my 30 five gallon buckets. First considered buckets after a bucket to grow potatoes in, in a TH-cam video. I like to scavenge a lot of stuff for my gardening. I pick up a varitey of beans from the bulk section of the grocery store.
Kevin, I am sooo impressed with your homestead...cannot get over how much you all have done! Beautiful! My friend and I were just talking about me doing a vertical garden this week. I would love one!
I'm looking at buying the 5 tier with the code. I would probably use it for mini bok choy, mizuna, alpine strawberries, arugula, micro toms, and stuff like that. So i could make salads with ease.

Your channel has legitimately saved my life and I have finally found the confidence and motivation to just do it regardless of my lack of space, knowledge and skill. @@Maria-kq4ri you are lucky. We don't have many that lose leaves around us. So no free mulch lol. Although our fruit trees stubbornly refuse to lose leaves lol.
I've bought the 5 tier and the 7 tier, and using up here in Canada, and loving growing things vertically. The 7 tier is being used to grow strawberries and herbs, and the 5 tier for all sorts of lettuces, boy choy, pak choy, swiss chard, spinach, radishes, and peppermint on the bottom to keep the raccoons away. Next year maybe a couple more!
The Greenstalk garden does look to be fully thought out. My husband bought me a similar set from the dollar store. In looking at it I did notice I would probably have to water each tier. However I will now keep in mind sun loving plants towards the top. Thanks.
i started watching your channel about 5 months ago, which caused me to start looking at so many ways of producing my own stuff, we only have a small area of 1,5 meters by 1,5 meters in the back of the house right next to a street that we have repurposed to be a garden, we produced so many things this year and plan on doing more but we can only fit so much. Honestly this system would be amazing to have, its quite cheap right now but not something we can afford currently, Greek economy is kind of wonky right now. Thank you so much for this giveaway and Good luck to everyone!
Just got a GreenStalk planter and am planning what to grow. I like the idea of being able to move it easily. Your video came at the perfect time for me. Thank you so much.
Last summer was my first year with a garden (townhouse with a west facing patio) and the first thing I bought after we signed the lease was a 5 tier greenstalk! It ended up shipping before we'd even moved in... whoops! I had it planted before we completely unpacked too. I ended up getting myself a second when just one wouldn't contain my winter garden plans. Love them so much, the caster base is a must have too.
I have been dreaming about one of these.. I'm moving soon and starting a homestead in Prescott Valley,AZ on some acreage and all I do is watch and watch and watch garden videos for great ideas. Your videos are so helpful and full of great tips. Thank you!!😊
On gardeners world one day I saw a guy who built some kind of structure with multiple shelves (like a bookshelf) to grow strawberries. It took up no space as it was next to the wall and the strawberries hung down so the fruit wouldn't rot in the soil. Just a cool idea I found. 😁
Love your Plant Daddy T-shirt & I can so relate to your reaction of the hummingbird! Thanks for always walking us through each step - you are an inspiration & I’ve learned so much from you! Thank you!!
I haven't done much vertical gardening, but after seeing what's possible I got 5 tiers from the dollar tree to see if it's worth the investment. This is my first year and it's filling in nicely. Highly recommend the towers.
I don't have one of these because of the price. But I can confirm the cheaper systems don't work as well. Way more work than just watering from the top and the water spreading to where it needs to go. This is a wonderful set up so I do hope to get some in the future after we move in a couple months.
holy crap, kev!! i got my seed trays in a week or so ago and planted some flowers. they dont even have their first true leaves yet and the roots are already filling out the cell!!!! these are amazing i could have never imagined the slits and just the design of a seed tray in general could make such a big diff. to say its worth the price is a severe understatement. in fact, i’d go so far to say these are cheaply priced for the build quality and effectiveness in the garden. life changer lmao 👌🔥
I got a 5 tier for Christmas and I've succession planted bush beans. The first planting is setting tiny little beans, I'm so excited! For various reasons bush beans have never worked for me at this property so I'm really hopeful of getting a good crop. I will still be growing yard long beans since they love our summer heat here in Texas. I did try to grow some winter crops in the greenstalk but "the Big Freeze" killed everything. I had one each of spinach and kale come up after the freeze and grow beautifully, just harvested as the heat is starting to set in now.
Love your channel. I'm new to growing, mostly in containers since I'm a renter. My landlord's lawn maintenance guys would mow anything I tried to put in ground. Would love the Greenstalk.
Just ordered one. Was on the fence about the wheels, but it bumped me up to free shipping. So basically half price for adding the wheels. Great deal, thanks Kevin.

I love that you also get excited about the little things lol. You're so right Kevin, the only get to live once! Got to enjoy it while we can
Kevin, I am sooo impressed with your homestead...cannot get over how much you all have done! Beautiful! My friend and I were just talking about me doing a vertical garden this week. I would love one!
Thank you Ellen!
Ohmygosh, I’m glad you covered how to get sun on all sides. I was wondering about that. Didn’t know they had casters! Mind blown!!!
:)
If they didn't, you could get a wheeled platform in your local garden shop. I had my grapefruit tree on one.
I'm looking at buying the 5 tier with the code.
I would probably use it for mini bok choy, mizuna, alpine strawberries, arugula, micro toms, and stuff like that. So i could make salads with ease.
Oh! Mini bok choy is a great idea!
Hello friend how are you doing?
You are just the absolute best and most wholesome human. Your channel has legitimately saved my life and I have finally found the confidence and motivation to just do it regardless of my lack of space, knowledge and skill. You've helped me give myself permission to just PLAY!!!! I absolutely love you! Now where can I get one of these in Australia? 😅
Kevin, you da best. Best "how to" with the GreenStalk.
It may be fall in the Southern Hemisphere ... but these videos warm the heart! You are a natural, you love what you do and your vibrant and happy plants show this love! Amazing ! Love from an Aussie green thumb 💛💚🇦🇺
Fall? lol you mean Autumn. :P
But it is nice to see the Spring up North bursting into life. Everything around me is going to sleep.
@@matthewfarrell317 hahaha yeah, Fall, American word for Autumn ...oak tree leaves falling in my neck of the woods, can’t keep up sweeping - and composting, of course! 👍
@@Maria-kq4ri you are lucky. We don't have many that lose leaves around us. So no free mulch lol.
Although our fruit trees stubbornly refuse to lose leaves lol.
Thank you!
Perfect for me, as I’m nearly 80 and can’t bend over for maintaining a standard garden! I will buy one or two!
My lemon grass grows so crazy I never would've thought to try it in my greenstalk. It looks so pretty!
The Greenstalk garden does look to be fully thought out. My husband bought me a similar set from the dollar store. In looking at it I did notice I would probably have to water each tier. However I will now keep in mind sun loving plants towards the top. Thanks.
I just bought the new one, the taller spaces. Can't wait to get it together. I like the watering system in this brand.
Vertical gardening is such a great idea
i started watching your channel about 5 months ago, which caused me to start looking at so many ways of producing my own stuff, we only have a small area of 1,5 meters by 1,5 meters in the back of the house right next to a street that we have repurposed to be a garden, we produced so many things this year and plan on doing more but we can only fit so much. Honestly this system would be amazing to have, its quite cheap right now but not something we can afford currently, Greek economy is kind of wonky right now. Thank you so much for this giveaway and Good luck to everyone!
I’m Planting a vertical garden this year because I broke my arm and I’m having a hard time with my regular garden. Thank you for all your
Just got a GreenStalk planter and am planning what to grow. I like the idea of being able to move it easily. Your video came at the perfect time for me. Thank you so much.
With limited space, I have to go vertical. I also love the clean look of the straw mulch!!
What a neat idea. Strawberries galore! I love it. Wouldn't have thought of the lemongrass but it works great there!
Just ordered my greenstalk!, can’t wait for it to arrive🤗!
Thank you!!
This vertical system seems ideal for indoor gardening, as well. What a great system!
This will be perfect for my herbs and edible flowers.
Hello...how are you doing?
Bought my first home this year and have a small yard, love watching stuff like to learn how to make it work!
Green beans is a brilliant idea! I’m dreaming of one for strawberries but now I want two so I can grow more beans!
Love hummingbirds. This is perfect planter. I only have one sunny spot in my yard.
Just ordered one. Was on the fence about the wheels, but it bumped me up to free shipping. So basically half price for adding the wheels. Great deal, thanks Kevin.
Thank you Kevin! Just bought one! That deal is nuts. I've been waiting for a sale like this. And here it is! Can't wait for it to get here. 💗
senior citizen here, this looks like a perfect way for me to grow some needed greens . Would love to get a free planter.
Want to have a fall garden and a summer garden. Would be nice to have a few of these planters.
Like your details about planting, things I wouldn't otherwise know. Thanks!!
Hello Dear Friend! Thank you very much!😊👍
I really want the new one. I love my original greenstalk.
Love the humming bird excitement. This would be really neat to have for my kids to help me garden!
I love what you have done with a small space. I'm excited about putting a small garden in. You are inspiring!
Thanks for showing all of your plants and flowers growing in the green stalk. It gives me so many ideas!!
So many possibilities with these! I would definitely put strawberries or an herb garden in it. Thank you for the 101!
