The day Sammy passed away broke my heart. He was one of a kind. There will never be another like him. His incredible talents , his struggles, the joy he gave to the world. I have adored him all my life. He was so wonderful ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ . ❤❤❤
A man of many talents and a master of all those talents, PURE LEGEND!! PURE GOAT!!! So glad you feel the same as me about this one-off artistic genius. 😀
Incredibly enough Sammy sometimes feared this song because he believed it was his future, that he would someday be a forgotten nobody How he could possibly believe that is beyond me but it was a fear he had
Check out Sammy singing Birth of the Blues. (color video). Also...What Kind of Fool Am I also old B and W video of him tapping or playing drums, vibrations and piano.
Sammy Davis Jr. was an American singer, dancer, actor, comedian, film producer & television director. He was also part of the famous "Rat Pack", led by his friend Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Joey Bishop & Peter Lawford. He appeared in many movies, television & performed in Las Vegas. Sammy had some great songs such as "Hey There", "Something’s Gotta Give", "That’s Entertainment", "Me & My Shadow", I've Gotta Be Me", "The Candy Man", "Mr. Bojangles", "Birth Of The Blues" etc.
He was such a talented man. There is so much to say about him. He has been on stage since he was 3 or 4. You should lookup info on him and go back and look at him as a child throughout his whole life. You should see the episode the episode of All in the Family (Archy Bunker) with him in it. It’s beyond funny! I love Sammy Davis Jr!
Sammy and Dean Martin were the best of the Rat Pack, imo. Sammy had that special quality you see in rare performers. You felt like he was your personal acquaintance, even though you only saw him through a screen.
The original by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band has a very different sound and feeling then Sammy's version. I like the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's ( Dirt Band ) better - but respect this version as well.
Stan I've missed you!! Been working alot!! I got some catching up to do!! Lol Here's a song I would ABSOLUTELY love you to react to....it's called Monsters by James Blunt....Here's the link...th-cam.com/video/DTFbGcnl0po/w-d-xo.html
Sammy was one in a million! There will never be another like him!
I have yet to see a Sammy Davis reaction video without a smile on the face of the reactors. Sammy is the original one name act in my opinion.
