My wife often comes in and I have drifted off to sleep listening to Jingles. Sometimes she'll say: "Turn on the British guy". Last night she admitted he sounded "kind of sexy". 20 years as a sapper and now I have to put up with this from MrsEnzo and her gnome crush? Just...geee-zusss.
This made my last birthday a fair bit better. Im 80% sure to die of cancer, so Im not expecting to go a full year. Thankyou Jingles for giving me your warm voice, fun humour and insightful thoughts and experiences. Youre one of youtubes greats
I know this probably doesn't mean a lot coming from a stranger on the internet, but good luck man EDIT I'm a dumbass and forgot to say happy birthday ✌️🙂
Greetings Jingles! Thank you so much for featuring my replay. Been watching your stuff since I started playing WOWS in Open Beta. I'm not the best player and don't play often, but I do thoroughly enjoy the game. Truth be told I've always expected to see myself on your channel as one of the poor ships getting shot up by whatever protagonist you feature, not as the protagonist. And thanks to everyone for the advice about using the shift key, I'll be sure to give that a shot in my future matches. Cheers everyone.
Great match! I struggle with the Arizona… I feel like the guns just lack accuracy. Side note: the Shift key will zoom in and out for you so there’s no need to scroll so much. Good hunting!
Actually, Jingles, and this is a good "actually", so don't stop reading: When somebody ends the game with a killshot the game does not display the damage dealt fully. You looked at the damage counter and added the displayed 11k of damage. Seems right but the replay ended before the other damage was displayed. He took off 20.7k HP from that final New Mexico, there were no other shots coming in. So his final damage output is 172,570 - we have to give him more credit. Bless this replay system 🙂
Someone please tell skidooman that he can use the shift key to instantly zoom in/out of the binoculars lol The mousewheel scrolling makes me feel weird
When I was very young, I built a plastic model of the Arizona, something like two feet long all told, and watching this made me remember all the time I spent painting all the little details of that, and the hours of joy assembling the kit brought me. An excellent video Jingles! Thanks for the entertainment
Mr Jingles, love the vid like always but I wanted to make you and your viewers aware of the historic event coming in August. The last dreadnought battleship (USS Texas BB-35) will be leaving its current mooring of MANY years, floated down the Houston ship channel, and dry docked for EXTENSIVE repairs in August. Their TH-cam channel will be live during some of it. I believe it will find another home in Galveston TX after its repairs. Just thought you would be interested in the upcoming event. Love the work Mr Jingles (and congratulations on the new home).
Ah yes, the Pennsylvania class Battleship Arizona, an "interwar" design that was used by the USN to train merchant gunners during the first years of her service, in the conflict known as WWI, You may be able to call the Tennessee class or Colorado class "interwar" ships but not the Nevada, Pennsylvania, or New Mexico classes of US Standards
@@emberfist8347 why did they have so many different BB classes at that time? Was the US Navy experimenting to find which one fit their needs best or was there some other reason?
@@clefsan The Standard-type was an attempt by the Navy to standardize their battleships as much as they could. The reason there was five classes was the early 20th century particularly before WWI saw a naval arms particularly with Battleships and when you combine with Congress only approving of two ships every fiscal year before we got involved in the war, they had to make a new class each time they wanted to add a new innovation like larger caliber guns or the clipper bow.

The Huanghe had a good game too. He secured his third kill on the Devonshire before being sunk by skidoo. Also when is the world famous "Jingles Post-Battle Screen" merch coming out, cause I need that masterpiece on a shirt so I can wear it to work!!
One of my favorite quotes regarding people learning about things that don't work is from Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon. "Don't you people realize that banzai charges don't work?" "Well, all the people who realize that died doing the banzai charges!"
Arizona is probably my favorite ship in WoWS, although I've never had THIS good a game in her. Well done! 👏 (And for the record, her AA usually works pretty well for me..... although if a CV is just out to get her (particularly a higher-tier CV) it's usually just a matter of time.😝)
Solid game. I have to say, I enjoy those low-to-mid tier games more than top-tier ones. Ships aren't that good, they don't have so many gimmicks available - it is when player's skills need to take over.
Actually Jingles the USS Arizona is a Pennsylania-class battleship. The Standard-*type* battleship was a series of superdreadnoughts that were built between 1916 and 1921 across five class including the Pennsylania-class. The Arizona was commissioned in October of 1917 so it can't really be called inter-war either.
Thank you for the customized after-battle results screen; truly unique! And, while it did contain all the required information, I think it's a safe bet to assume the folks from the Louvre are not scouring the countryside, searching for you in a desperate attempt to sign you up as Artiste' of the Month! Please keep up the good work because, in the sacred words of Loverboy, we're "LOVIN' EVERY MINUTE OF IT!"
Oh.. the enemy CV died at the start of the match... At least ol' man jingles won't be chewing out our ears about how op they are. Another great vid, Jingles
I've been using my audible credits for books by Matthew Reilly. Finished the Jack West Jr series, now on the Scarecrow series. Love the books, OTT action ...also got a bunch of Steven Kings. If you want value for money I'd recommend It. 44 hours
Actually Jingles, the Arizona is a Pennsylvania class battleship, which belong to the Standard-type design lineage. But I do enjoy seeing the old girl deliver a paddlin' or two, so I do.
Arizona wasn't a Standard-class ship. She was a Pennsylvania-class ship, which was one of the Standard-type battleships. the Standard-type was made up of the Nevada-class, Pennsylvania-class, New Mexico-class, Tennessee-class, Colorado-class and arguably would've contained the South Dakota-class had they been completed (since the 13.5" belt carried over). These ships had many, many differences, but were built to the same basic "pattern" of 21 knots, 13.5" belt, all-or-nothing armor schemes. Pennsylvania-class was basically a slightly-enlarged repeat-Nevada with 2 extra barrels and the ditching of VTE engines all together for turbines.
I think as a morale boost to us coal miners, Jingles could allow us during our 5 minute break, to see the greatness of his artwork for post battle result screens for every battle. What better way to bask in his glory and give praise to his majesty.
I always wondered, if the Arizona was able to be saved - as unlikely as that would be - how many AA guns would be added to the Arizona’s repertoire and what kind?
Well, if you look at her sister ship irl the USS Pennsylvania, she had an extensive refit, and like the rest of the Standards, were kinda just relegated to shore bombardment and being massive AA platforms, just 40mm bofors and 20mm oerlikins everywhere
The Max Hastings novel is Such a good book on audible. I’d also recommend Trinity by frank close, about the first big Cold War spies and the atom bomb I can guarantee you will learn something interesting.
If I were the enemy New Mexico at the end, I probably would've asked if the other two battleships wanted to switch off their secondary guns and just sail together until the clock ran down. End things on a friendly note.
While it all panned out in the end I would say he could have comfortably sat in the cap. The Texas was the only enemy close enough to spot him, and it was too close to sneak up on him so that fight always ends more or less the same way. The friendly NM was heading back as well to assist, and could have run interference or just assisted the cap while the carrier kept the Omaha and enemy NM spotted and harassed. He for sure could have capped that out as the two enemies were too far away. Either way though a win is a win, so gg, wp, and enjoy all your medals.
I want a brand of Chocolate bar which consists of a chewy marshmallow-like chocolate nougat coated with an outer layer of hard chocolate. Make it the shape of an Omaha. Call it the "Tier 5 Light Cruiser" bar, made by a startup candy company called "Citadels"
Great result for our protagonist here, but the scrolling is tough to watch. @Skidoo, the shift button would save you a couple of seconds scrolling before each shot.
Have you ever thought some people don't send in the battle results screen because of the fabulous artwork you produce?
Possibly studied art at St. Martins College?
We know this is the case.
*insert Obi Wan meme* "That's.. why I'm here'

Many Deaf ppl who enjoy Naval history would already know this by listening to Audio books on the subject.😉
Good on that allied New Mexico captain for maintaining an effective crossfire with skidooman basically the entire game.
There should be a mod to get "jingles post battle screen" after every game.

Your mouse has a mousewheel for excel colums but not to mimic a captain using 5 different binoculars!
His keyboard lacks a SHIFT key... quite annoying to watch.
@@bargie38 must be using an old Mac mouse too without a right click which acts the same as shift
