My Great Grandfather was a Rear Admiral, also served as the XO of the USS Nevada, only ship at Pearl Harbor, DDay, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa. And Love seeing you discuss the Civil War! I work as a specialist at a large Civil War museum.
14:40 - review of history - just priceless Jingles, priceless. Now, I know you don't have children. I have 5 sons and 6 daughters. Two I married off last weekend. Two of my sons went to war when they were 18 (infantry and armor). I cannot imagine taking a 9 yo to sea. One of my grandsons is 8. My head wants to explode. Not in a bad way, but in a how do you comprehend that way.
It's even togher to stomach, when you think about runners and helpers in 19th century land wars. Like, 'little drummer boy'. Those kids were deeply inside of the thickest shit. Being on a ship wasn't easy, but comparatively ... preferable, maybe. At least in the US Navy. The British and their long ass travels ... Whole oceans of shit for everyone, especially young boys. Anyway, congratz to having a full on football team of kids. (Actual football, not freedom 'foot'ball.) That's hella impressive!
And I literally just watched this battle on another WOWS channel right before this….. Still gonna watch it for Jingles banter and his classic senior moments
You give us Farragut's 60 year career? I give you Adm. Provo Wallis, from my home town of Halifax, Nova Scotia. 87 years in uniform. Joined his first ship, HMS Asia, at age 7.
@The_MightyJingles about those 66mm guns. These are known as Skoda 7cm guns. The derivatives of the main Skoda 7cm gun were used on almost all Austro-Hungarian ships as dual-purpose artillery. Their caliber was 66mm. Seems that Jager has the Skoda 7cm K10 guns. So yeah actually these are not made up.
I'm not a player, but believe it or not I've been watching Wows since 2016. And that's the most torpedo hits I've ever seen in Wows since I've been watching....
Oh no Jingles, I think you just make a mistake. The Jager has 4 triple torp launchers, not 3 quadruple torp launcher 😂 This is why you are still a Jedi Knight.
Sometimes playing as a dd, it's not hitting with your torps that count. It's forcing the enemy ships to turn so that they expose broadsides to BS guns.
the way Wisconsin just looked at the incoming torpedoes with main battery guns sliding towards them in the end was just you know.. we just heard "ooooh nnnoooo..."
Wisconsin is absolutely overpowered. However, it's not the funny button alone, it's mostly the fact that the guns have insane dipersion characteristics. (BC dispersion with 2.1 sigma or something...)
It's the fact that the two aspects blend so well together: accurate guns will make your funny button reload quickly. And the consumable recharge effect is busted, the ability to spam heals and DCPs (and the fact that Wisconsin is basically impossible to cit) gives her insane survivability
The Wisky is OP if you’re in a cruiser. I’ve been deleted by a lot of them. Especially at distance. I haven’t done the math, but I think it’s arc always for citadels from above from far away.
The only reason the Jager makes sense is because the pretence was created with Kitakami. With the removal of friendly fire, expect more WW1 ships with ridiculous torpedoes popping into the game.
Let me at least throw this bit of knowledge out there for anyone that might need it. Should you be forced to use the guns on the Jager, they are still 150mm guns. If you happen to have a broadside cocky light cruisers, they can indeed citadel them with AP. Last ditch effort? Yes, however handy to know if you ever need it. Found that out by accident by shooting Minotaur and have used it against Smolensk's and Mino's ever since.
Jingles must have forgotten about John Paul Jones, John Barry, or Earnest Evens. Uncharacteristically brave and bold naval officers are lauded and honored in the USN much more than old stuffy career guys.
Considering I watched a civil war documentary yesterday and it included the person who shouted "damn the torpedoes full speed ahead". I find the title pretty funny.
Well jingles set's another challenge. This is the most torp hits in a battle i have seen. Queue next weeks video where jingles gets flooded with videos of every record torp hit battle known to man.
"It gets three quad-launchers" *looks at the paper model in the bottom left* Funny, the ship model says it has four launchers. And if I look closely, each launcher has 3 tubes, not 4. I'll give Jingles a pass though because regardless of whether it has 3 quad-launchers or 4 triple launchers, it's still putting 12 torps in the water. Oh and yeah, 66mm guns were used by the Austro-Hungarian navy. They were the Skoda 7cm dual purpose guns and despite being labelled as 7cm guns, they were only 66mm because artillery classification rounds up to the nearest centimeter.
Its attributed to David Farragut , an officer in the Union navy in the Civil War . Warned of mines, called torpedoes, in the water ahead, Farragut said, “Damn the torpedoes! Captain Drayton, go ahead! Jouett, full speed!”
43 torpedo hits with 188,944 from just the torpedoes is only 4,394 damage per torpedo. Even adding in the measly flooding damage he did bumps that up to almost 4,583 per hit. DEFINITELY Gotta get them hits in this ship lol
01:40 I want people to mod silly things into warship skins at Skyrim levels. I want to sail into battle on a pony, or Thomas the Tank Engine! Is modding even still a thing in WoWS? I remember there used to be a Ram/Rem shell replacer and it was hilarious.
12 tubes = 12 torpedoes. Japanese WWII destroyers did carry reloads but never used them in the middle of battle AFAIK. The torpedoes also obeyed the laws of physics, unlike WOWS.
most destroyers had one load, the one in the launchers. later (late mid war early wwii) they might have one or maybe two extra loads, but those was a risk as exposed torps needing long and not fun loading during a battle is not a great idea. we are talking five minutes for really fast loading to over half an hour for the longer side. per torp.
Be hard for a Shimakaze to get that many hits in a single game since they cause so much damage individually that there'd be no enemy ships left after 30 or so. Unless, you're the only one left with 5 or so enemy left to kill.
Oh Jingles...can you really be that out of touch? Who am I kidding, of course you could be...LOL WeedMan was obviously at one time in his career the cannabis hook up guy...or dealer or whatever you want to call him...on HMS Daring. He was the guy who could get you the good stuff...that sticky icky, the Maui Wowie...pick your euphemism. ROFLMAO Or maybe you already knew that...in which case I quote Miss Emily Litella and say..."Nevermind." 😂
I have been in a 3 Jager div doing the old 3x Lyon trick of all targeting a single ship...more than 1 BB crapped their pants when they saw 36 torps coming at them Almost makes me want to re install warships to do it again but F wg I would rather give Ubisoft money than ever play another WG game
Whenever I play this game, I just YOLO for 5 or 6 games. I can earn my 3 free containers and turn it off. Until the game ACTUALLY starts listening to its Core Players on what needs to be done to improve. Mend the ties with the old school players and the CC debacle along with LittleWhiteMouse.
I'm still stuck in historical (hysterical?) mode. You simply do not reload torpedoes like this. The suckers are so big, you need a damn crane. I know WG wants to make things playable but to be able to spam torpedoes like this is ridiculous. It pushes the game past arcade more to magic mode. Why I only watch the videos. When I get irritated, I think, hey let's play WoTs or WowS. Then I go cut the grass, hammer my thumb, hurt myself.... but kudos to the Jager. Mind you, there is no way a destroyer would have 43 torps let alone the ones that miss. Ridiculous.
I doubt a Shimakaze could score that many hits; the torps are too slow, they're spotted from too far away, the reload is too long, and the spread is too wide (even on a "narrow" spread, it's wider than the Jager's wide spread). And torp hits on sinking ships don't count, so you'd only be getting credit for 2 or 3 per kill thanks to the alpha per torp. A Benham could maybe put the same number of fish into the water, but still wouldn't match the number of hits.
My only question is _ Where in the heck does that destroyer hide 80 torpedoes??? I can see nothing on that ship or any such ship short of the Kitikami that can hide 80 torpedoes!
I have 2 Jäger on 2 my account , that ship was super EZ to get in event , on my main account I have Swirski commander that give buff to torp reaload , she so fun to play I use her instead of Benham when I want to play torpedo boat , she is just must have for new players !
Curse you Jingles! I was literally just typing a correction on how you were misusing the word "torpedo" when you started telling the Farragut story! How cruel of you not to let your fans enjoy an "actually Jingles" moment. 🙂
5.4km concealment? What exactly is stealthier than it? Last I checked, 5.4 was the minimum you could get your stealth on a DD at high tier. I'm not sure the Yugumo is stealthier.
Break up with basic browsers. Get Opera GX using my link: www.operagx.gg/jingles9 Watch Venom: The Last Dance, exclusively in movie theaters!
And it works on mobile phones as well
"Would your uncle Jingles lead you astray?" - No of course not... aside from all those times you've inexplicably misidentified ship types and classes
Even his In game Captain character does it :D
Deliberately? Never. By winging it and doing the TH-cam equivalent of scouting with his face? Yeeeaass........
it's a trap
Also 4 quad launchers firing 12 torpedoes?

I love how the Wisconsin just accepted his fate and said well played when he came around the corner and saw the torpedoes
20:53 Looks like the Wisconsin was a good sport about it, at least
Jager: What happens if we nail 21st-century torpedoes onto a 19th-century ship?
Answer: Your Insurance rates SKYROCKET, even though you're not demonstrably more resilient to Pirate raids.
20th century ship.
And I literally just watched this battle on another WOWS channel right before this….. Still gonna watch it for Jingles banter and his classic senior moments
I only sent it to Jingles tho :(
Great replay but I love Jingles' stories about the navy.
You give us Farragut's 60 year career? I give you Adm. Provo Wallis, from my home town of Halifax, Nova Scotia. 87 years in uniform. Joined his first ship, HMS Asia, at age 7.

Jingles making a mistake?
We know he’s crap but he makes no mistakes excuses or otherwise. And that’s why we love him.
And we do NOT grant him the rank of Master.
Sometimes playing as a dd, it's not hitting with your torps that count. It's forcing the enemy ships to turn so that they expose broadsides to BS guns.
Hello pretty bot ladies! Excuse me while I watch the old gnome. Nothing personal, he's just a bit more... authentic.
Who else gets a bit anxious when the overlord drops a video later than usual? Thanks for being a important part of this salt miners daily routine.
The AA is so bad that it's better to spend your time praying to the Lord to bring the enemy aircraft down instead of using your AA guns.
“Would I lie to you?”
On purpose? 🤣 The Jager has triple torp launchers. Four of them 🤣
On first glance hey look it's a tier 9 Okhotnik, with less guns.
His division teammate "Goon" is an embarrassment.
the way Wisconsin just looked at the incoming torpedoes with main battery guns sliding towards them in the end was just you know.. we just heard "ooooh nnnoooo..."

Man I love the Jager. My favorite dd in the whole game lol.
Phew, I was worried there was no video today.
Full speed ahead!

"Would your uncle Jingles lead you astray" yes, Jingles, yes you would... often times not even intentionally :P
The only reason the Jager makes sense is because the pretence was created with Kitakami. With the removal of friendly fire, expect more WW1 ships with ridiculous torpedoes popping into the game.
when the next mission is 40 torp hits, but it only counted the 3 needed to finish the current milestone...
I was going to say "you're late!" :)
Kinda normal from Old Man Jin...... Yes, dear Evil Gnome Overlord, back to the Salt Mine for doubles shifts. Thanks you.
After that second hit, I would not be able to stand up and do public speaking for a week. Jesus HMS Christ what a shot!
Very entertaining as usual! Thanks, Vice Admiral Jingles!
god forbit wg adds a funny button for torpedoes

I am impressed that Jingles pronounced Mobile, AL correctly. +1
The second we saw the Jager.. we all knew that the rant about its a WWI ship was inbound.. lol Gnome can always be counted on.. lol
Jingles must have forgotten about John Paul Jones, John Barry, or Earnest Evens. Uncharacteristically brave and bold naval officers are lauded and honored in the USN much more than old stuffy career guys.
It would suck to be forced to retire with a 200k per year pension in the US Navy. 😅
Considering I watched a civil war documentary yesterday and it included the person who shouted "damn the torpedoes full speed ahead". I find the title pretty funny.
"Get promoted or get forced to retire"
Someone in that position:
"Gotta be someone who needs some killing"
Fun fact about Farragut, he was actually of Spanish descent. His father was a Spanish merchant naval captain.
Well jingles set's another challenge. This is the most torp hits in a battle i have seen. Queue next weeks video where jingles gets flooded with videos of every record torp hit battle known to man.
Now that is a lot of torpedoes
5.4 is in fact the best conceal of all ships in any tier, and matched only by a very few others.
Those 66mm AA guns are Škoda 7 cm guns developed for Austria-Hungary Navy
144 torpedoes launched, 43 torpedo hits, 101 torpedos missed and who knows how many torpedos hit after they sank...?
43 torpedo hits! Well done.
43 wet-noodle hits.
"It gets three quad-launchers" *looks at the paper model in the bottom left*

Fun fact: The Jager's Air Detection is the same as it's AA range, so keeping it off doesn't actually benefit you.
We keep saying that destroyers become exponentially more dangerous the longer a battler goes on... this is an example of that.
Imagine only having a lake to do your destroyer business in.
Halland has record believe. In the 60s
Great video, thanks!
Throw enough torpedoes at the ship and see what hits.
Damn the torpedoes.
Where does that come from?

That camo doesn't look "world war one-ish", it looks like your VRAM is damaged and your graphics card is on the way out.
43 torpedo hits with 188,944 from just the torpedoes is only 4,394 damage per torpedo. Even adding in the measly flooding damage he did bumps that up to almost 4,583 per hit. DEFINITELY Gotta get them hits in this ship lol

So, out of curiosity, given that WOWS has unlimited ammo, how many torps would have a ship like this actually carried?!

Wall of skill launching 12 torps for a ship that can be sunk by 2 ....stopping at 14mind
For a moment there, I thought this video was sponsored by Akizuki...
Ok lads, throw the nets. We're going to catch a fish.
Looks like the 66mm gun is a version of the standard Austrian Mountain gun which confusingly was designated as a 70mm gun.
Slow and steady wins the match.
90-knot torpedoes aren't exactly slow
time travel is always possible for WOWS
As far as I know, Faragut didn't bombard and kill random civilians, like Nelson did!
Be hard for a Shimakaze to get that many hits in a single game since they cause so much damage individually that there'd be no enemy ships left after 30 or so. Unless, you're the only one left with 5 or so enemy left to kill.

Actually jingles, 150 mm guns are 5.9 inch
You're late 00 Jingles...
My first thought is that is a tier 1 or 2 ship, to hear it was a tier 9 surprised me.
12 x 12km 90-knot torpedoes at Tier 1 or 2?
@@EvoraGT430 That was before I heard those torp speeds. Just was giving my first thoughts when I saw it.
