NEW VIDEO: USB Mixer Audio Interface to Android or iPhone for live stream, Multi track, Podcast or Music Videos th-cam.com/video/oSAOkUMa8zk/w-d-xo.html
When I quit smoking it was the hardest accomplishment in my life. I cried for days in the fetal position. I love it. I hope you can over come this addiction. Thank you for the great video, Kenny
Jimmy, your video was very helpful. Our soft rock band wanted to record audio off our mixer for our website. The only way I thought of doing it was to use a Tascam Pocket Studio, which is much harder to use than a phone. Your video revealed how to accomplish this with a phone. I had no idea these small adaptor cables existed and that they enable audio recordings to a phone. THANK YOU!!
Hi Jimmy, My name is Arnold Abelaye I'm from Vegas and I'm glad that your video on getting my mixer on to my Galaxy S9 phone. I'm a drummer and I have a mixer for drums. I've been having a hard time trying to get a clear sound on to my phone. Your video had help me alot in getting that clear on to my phone. Again thank you so much for your help.
Hey man, I learned some stuff from your video on getting audio recorded and I want to thank you for taking time to do it. Your singing is great so don't be so hard on yourself! Thanks to Alicia too! I'm 70 years old from Portland and we have a great band. Take care you guys!
If one has a recent Samsung phone, the built-in app will automatically use the external microphone/source for recording. If one uses the Pro Video mode, the audio level bars are displayed. Moreover, one can set the exposure and focus manually in Pro Video mode so the exposure doesn't change when one moves around. It enabled me to do away with the Open Camera app.
Thank you, this helped get me set up, I have been looking on how to get a good quality recording, and you were clear, and explained it well, (not babbling at all), great job.
Jimmy, you've got the patience of a saint the way you go over things in different ways so anybody will get the message. I won't embarrass myself telling you how long I've been trying to produce a simple video recording of me singing along to a backing track from my desk without plugging in any speakers, to try and raise the spirits of some of my friends and others during these dark days. Now I can! Yippee! Thankyou!
Sir, I must say, there are lot of videos out there.. but Sir you are great teacher.. you get to the point and give what is needed. Woow.. gad I met you here. GOD bless you.
Thank you my brother! I had everything I needed before watching… everything, accept the app! This is huge to me for what I’ve been trying to do! Great info!
Jimmy thanks a lot for a great tutorial . I would how ever like to clarify/ enquire about one thing. The mixer has 2 outs , Right and Left channel . As per CTIA standards , The TRRS converter ( Grey cable ) from phone converts that TRRS into TRS . i.e , the two incoming channels ( Right and Left ) from mixer are shorted into One Microphone channel . To clarify , the Sleeve of TRRS bears the microphone signal which is shorted to the Tip and Ring of TRS . On the other hand , the Ring closer to Sleeve in TRRS bears the Ground signal and is connected to the Sleeve of TRS . IN such a situation , the Right and Left Channels of Mixer are directly shorted which seems to be a big problem for the mixer health and it can even blow up its channels as the output impedance of audio devices is always Low . What is your take on it ? Did you encounter any such problems ??
thank you, You know I don't live Stream this way, I use a USB sound card, I just figured out a way for my friend during the shut down so he could Live stream with what he had ad home :) so That was the only time I had ever tried this way, My live stream setup is using 3 Sony A6600 Cameras, I ATEM Mini, MacBook and a XR18 USB Mixer, Thank you for sharing this though for the others on here using this method!
Thanks man! watched about 10 different video's on this and couldn't figure it out until i watched yours. the app that you need to download is key. no one else mentions that.
Very good about the reverb when you're talking because I see so many bands live do that and it mesmerizes people after while to where they want to walk out if you could have talked to the audience have it without any effects... Or dry as they call it in the music biz
Thank you. Great help as I needed the app to make my switch to the headphone jack. I then connected it to the Sound blaster K3+, and was able to briefly play records until getting my self blocked. On the plus side, I know I had decent audio playing with the video. Cheers
Thanks for the video , I have learned a lot.I only firgured something out ...Maybe your trs main outs might be plugged wrong?. The red cable goes in R and the white plug in L, just a detail .Thanks again🙌🏻
Thankyou fella I have been trying to find out why the samsung didn't record audio from the external source for ages , I even asked irig and samsung, and they didn't know what I was talking about , again thankyou sir I am soooooo happy to get things done been waiting since beginning of lockdown.
What that was supposed to say was I like the fact that you brought up turning the effects off when you're simply talking with a switch I've seen live bands talk to the audience when they have the effects on and it's not very good on the ears.. so thank you for bringing that up
This is exactly the info that I have been looking for. My wife and I want to put up a green screen and make a music video with guitar and bass, but didn’t know how to get the sound from mixer to the iPhone . I downloaded the app, and the trrs adapter is on the way. Thanks for explaining it all so clearly!
Thanks man, u sure are a big help for everyone. I just commented without finishing the video first thats why. Haha. Anyways, thanks again and keepsafe! Viewing here from Philippines:)
Thank you thank you!! This is exactly the information I needed!! I have been trying to figure this out for years...great job explaining everything. Five Stars to YOU!!!!
Hi Jimmy. You are one the best teachers and an asset to the world of education. I ran into a problem with statics and it turned out in my unit, I can not charge the phone and record at the same time. everything else went ok. Thanks again.
This is the cheapest option that works. Thank you. But there is another option is to get the iRig Stream audio interface. It's cost about $100. I don't mind to pay if the quality is much better. Wondering if you can make a comparison video between the 2 method.
You're awesome! Very detailed tutorial, I was concerned about line level goes into the mic level cause audio saturated, but it seems to be not a problem, thank you.
wireless mics have a transmitter and receiver, the transmitter is the mic and the receiver is the box, all receiver will have a XRL or 1/4 plug to run a cord to the mixer :)
we have our red & white plug already in the mixer for our backing tracks. or are using guitar end jacks. We have a sound craft mixer.and our laptop going threw the red and white lead thk
Great video! 🙋🏻♀️ question. 1) can I use iPhone original camera instead of the app? Will it still capture the sound? 2) does my audio mixer need to plug in with speaker ? Cause I tried once without speaker there seems to be no sound at all. Thanks!
Hi i appreciate you sharing your idea about live streaming, its very informative. i just want to ask what Video apps did you use on your main cam and how did you connect your Android like using two camera in one setting. Thank You once again.
