2097 E92 382i 6m. I have a slow drain that will kill the battery in a week. All of a sudden the tail lights, angel eyes and 3rd brake lights are staying on after the care is off. I'm getting the 30g error as well. I have cas module errors but only after the vehicle being at a repair shop with obviously no repairs done.
I own an e92, e90 and e60; and do know quite a lot about both the n54 and n52 engines as I maintain my own vehicles. I’ve also fully rebuilt my own n54. However, this has had to be one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen to this day concerning these vehicles as I’ve been chasing a no start no crank with my e60/terminal 30 error. Did not understand what he meant. My e90 just started giving problem. Hesitates at times while driving and all of a sudden shut off at a stop. I turned it on and within seconds it shut off alone. Next day i try to start but no crank. All types of lights and codes came up in the cluster. Any idea?
did you fix it? was it no start no crank and also no cluster or anything? been dealing with something similar for a couple of weeks.. terminal 30 error no central locking no dash no start no crank lol
Dean, I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about how these cars work and 99% of what you said was meaningless to me. This is my issue: I have a 2018 X1. A couple of weeks ago, it died twice as I was pulling out of my driveway. I had it towed to the local BMW dealership. They ran diagnostics and a complete reboot of the car and could not find any issue. Then, a couple of days ago we were on the road driving from South Carolina to Virginia. We made a rest stop and five minutes later, the car would not start at all. It was towed to a BMW dealership in North Carolina and they determined that we needed a new battery. They installed (and registered) the battery but said they were still getting an F30 Terminal error code. They have no idea what was causing it but the next morning it started just fine with no error code and still seems to be running fine a couple of days later. However, whatever was causing the car/battery to die has not been determined and I have a feeling it is going to happen again. I'd like the local dealer to look at it again to see if they can determine the problem but if they couldn't figure it out before running diagnostics and a reboot, I have no confidence they will figure it out now. What do you suggest? I am wondering what I should tell the dealer that might help them fix this. Otherwise, I think I need to trade the car in for another one that I can trust. THANK YOU!
Do you know if you have a good alternator? The alternator is what charges the battery. If your alternator has gone bad then it isn't properly charging your battery or sometimes it might not charge it at all, so the car won't start. Make sure your alternator is good 👍

While getting my 1 series washes my car wouldn't start (unless I hold my key to the ignition) I got a diagnostic done and this is what it says The fault is logged when Terminal 15 has been hot for a maximum of ten seconds Check LIN Bus and Voltage Supply: Examine the lines and connectors between the FZD (possibly the overhead control module) and the SINE (typically the alarm system) for any defects. Any advise will be appreciated

Great video! Watched it so many times trying to match up the info to my problem that I've aquired an English accent!!! USA 2011 E70 35d comfort access. Terminal 15 -1, -2, -3 intermittently stays on after the car is turned off. While this is taking place, terminal 15 wake up (Pt Can) is jumping erratically from 0v to 12v. Terminal 15 wake (Acc) 0v. Resulting in the LED halos, brake lights and other FRM driven accessories to remain on. Multiple start/stop sequences to finally have the car shut down completely. LED hallos flicker insanely upon shutdown. Help!!!
Same problem for my E60 520i N46 2009. Car diagnostic shows problems with Terminal 15 and Terminal 50. I have the same symptoms of LED and lights are remaining on and I have to do many start/stop sequences to shut them down also. I am thinking of changing relays or IBS but I still don't know. Thanks for the info in this video. I have 2011 328ix which has a parasitic draw. This all started after I replaced the battery. I then had it registered by a mechanic. After 3 days my car was dead, I got it recharged but it would show 9 volts if I left it sitting for 2 - 3 days. I ran several amp clamp and 10 amp DVO tests to confirm the vehicle doesn't go to sleep as there is a constant .25 - .5 amp draw even after sitting overnight (thanks to yours and other vids showing how to do the tests). I was able to id the FRM as the power leak by pulling all the fuses and replace them one at a time to discover the leak. I have a scan tool but doesn't work with my BMW. Now after watching your video I'm curious if it's my FRM is the problem or is it some other module that is causing the drain. I have 1 flaw in that my rear windows only go down and not up which is what led me to suspect the FRM. I've since disconnected the motors to prevent any accidental operation. Otherwise the car runs fine except I have to keep it on a charger now - that and the occasional warning lights for "windows" trap and yellow "car on lift". You think it's ok to re-register the battery after disconnecting and connecting the negative and positive leads together to force a hard reset? I tried it on my GR supra but my car still remembered everything and created more error codes than i was trying to get rid off lol. But now I'm fighting ,isv terminal 30b: state contradiction. Which i think i overvolted the circuit with a PSU when trying to connect to ISTA. Man BMWS are a love hate thing

Hi Doctor! Nice video! I have a question about my 335i N54 2007.. I’m having an hard time with the vanos codes.. In particular code 82 and for the loss of boost pressure in the proces i think so.. So after changing my vanos solenoids, new oil hausing the round one.. new oil and all filters am still getting codes and my car goes into limb mode.. Also when am driving the car on a normal city speed the car is acting weird.. It’s kinda shaking as i hold the gas just a bit to stay on the speed limit.. On full throttle nothing happens.. Hi Doc. Just watched the video and you are right. It's a lot to take in. Would mind assisting me on my e90 320D. It cranks but won't run. We tried putting the OBD scan. No information come out. Also put on Programming device.. kept on saying assembly not found on everything. There was a relay sound i used to hear on the driver's side when staring the car. But now no click sound. ISTA-d shows that right after startup the voltage spikes to 20v and then levels out. I have no fuses blown and 50% of the time the car works seamlessly, the other half it will throw a 4x4! Error message. Ive replaced the xfercase and servo motor and am at my wits end.
👋👋👋 Quick one from me: G11 2018, started having error message on ISTA+ about terminal 30. As a result, I have multiple errors on various modules. None of those stay permanently on - instead, each time I drive a different module has error. Battery voltage measured with meter is 12.06V. I know my way around cars, but G11 2018 is too advanced for me and need your help. I could have caused it myself by leaving my car with open glove box and arm-rest box overnight because we had multiple theft incidents and I wanted thieves to see there is nothing left inside the car. Can kindly you give me some tips and steps to follow to do further troubleshooting and diagnosis?
Hey dean if you read this message , i have a 2007 bmw 320i petrol with only 142k km, long story short the car cranks but doesnt start, chrcked all the fuses they are fine, fuel pump works, removed 1 coil with slark plug and there is no spark, checked grounding cables and they are all good as well, bought a new battery (registered it to the vehicle with a scanner specifically for bmw’s and still no start, would you happen to know if there is a relay thats responsible for giving spark? I will literally pay you for your time, i dont want to get rid of the car cause i know its fixable, everything works! Except there is no spark, thank you do much for reading this.
@BMWDoctor I went to look at an E70 n55 and the car would only start with a trickle charger/booster. Eventually it was having a tough time starting with the trickle charger (the trickle charger seemed to be switching on and off). After running for about 30 minutes it got a misfire on cylinder 3 and 4. I shut the car off and it wouldnt start again, it would turn over for a split second. On the 4th attempt the starter turned over multiple times but it didnt start and it would go back to cranking for a split second. The car started after being left alone for an hour. It did have an error code AOC1 Terminal 50 (Car access module) after the fact and an old stored code for Terminal 15 (Dsc module) that was probably from several thousand km ago. Instrument cluster has a Terminal 30G_F error as well. What would need to be changed to fix this?
hi, I have an F10, replaced the battery about a year ago and did register it (Battery from BMW). Today I received a note on the car screen that car couldn't go to sleep. Hi bmwdoctor. Your videos are very insightful. I don’t see much in the F series. But wondering if hear me out about my issue. I have a 2015 bmw M3 f80. I had a issue with my battery going low and trip the batteries internal relay. I was able to reset it. But since then battery is charging and working but now I have some issues. Backup camera and parking sensors don’t work. Rear heated seat and windows stop working. Also just notice passenger side heated seat don’t work. I have scan it for codes. I have no engine lights but got some FEM and ZGW and REM codes. One of the one there make me come across your video is. Code 8040A6. Activation power activate terminal 30F,short to earth. Along with other codes. I greatly appreciate your input if able to on the F series. Thank your sir. -Steven

Excellent information. Where can I find bmw/mini codes. For example I have 931D code showing up along with A559, A3A9 and 9314. I am not able to figure out what these mean on my 2012 mini cooper s countryman. Drivability is fine. Only had a no start condition a few times. Also the 4 codes don’t clear when trying to clear via a scan tool. Any help would be appreciated.

Mini R56. Getting A Clamp 15 is missing along with a host of errors related to the FRM. Is this due to battery drain whilst doing a 15 ECU scan. So the FRM is shutdown.
Hi Bmw Doctor, I have undervoltage at terminal 30 and 15, well the car once was in a minor accident and the battery positive terminal popped & is currently in use. Could this be the problem with the undervoltage? Cause even if I trickle charge the battery to 100%, still my battery would drain. Pressuply pump on n47 keep burning out, it's on 14 volts and 6 bar constantly, replaced flooded ecu wich did not make change, only what we could find was that jbe module see voltage from alternator when running, but says that terminal 15 and 30 off, rest of the modules see them as live. Could this be reason why ekpm gets wrong signal and keep burning pumps out?
Thanks for the information. This is making me think that perhaps I'm having a crank no start because my Kombi is in the red when scanning my f30 with ista. Could this be the case? I do have a code saying the starter isn't spinning. It's a crank no start. Sounds like the starter is spinning. When I push the start button it cranks for maybe 4 seconds each time. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Dean BMW Doctor, 2005 E60 530d, Yes I've subscribed a while back, my battery has been replaced and apparently registered to the car, every morning when switching on I get the car on a ramp signal, if left for another 24 hours the battery goes flat no crank no start, I get battery drain excess waring I can't find a garage to look at it, what's possibly causing the fault and what is the IBS cable about, I'm starting to become very frustrated as the AA will get fed up jump starting car. I'm happy to have a go my self if I can get some leads as how to start. Thanks please please help.

How do I reset my FRM circuit counter on my e90? My lights,signals and windows don’t work. I was trying to relearn the VVT motor via INSTA+ but plugging and unplugging the D CAN cable, turning off and on the ignition while the battery was draining, maxed out the circuit counter. Thanks!

Hello. X5 e70 2013 30d xdrive. Ista displays connection errors with almost all modules. CAS, K-Can, SVT, Ihka, etc. On the dashboard I have a leveling system error after starting the car. I will add that I have no problem starting and the car drives normally. The battery was replaced last year and coded by Carly. What could be the problem?
Have a weird issue with mine. Starts and shuts off. Good fuel pressure. Fuel relay works. Fuel pump relay kicks on/off at exact intervals. Also lose connection with dme in those intervals. Playing with throttle can get it to run but rpms easier to 2k rpm, dies out to 1500 rpm, catches itself back to 2000 rpms but at exact time intervals. Matches the fuel pump relay clicking on and off. Also clicking In gearshift but not as fast as the fuel relay. Can't monitor value because connection loss. Read values for only a second then lose connection. Also turning on fuel relay with under the program only activates pump for 2 secs max instead of the 30 secs it states. Also reading dme part number it displays from showing number to not available. Also can't control vanos for relearn.

I have a 2010 328i coupe. Terminal 15 has 0 volts. Terminal 30 has 13.8. Im wondering why I can't read the vin. The trunk is not opening and the a/c is not blowing cold. When the trunk does work after the car sitting, the a/c will blow cold. Ive checked all the fuses.
Nice video. So how do I wake up terminal 15 when it is off. I replaced the cable on cas module between button and ignition and cas and sins then the key is reading but nothing else is happening even when pushing the button. E90 323i. 2008. My diagnostic is working. I have codes CAS terminal 15 output 1 through to 3. And the Footwell have codes. No dash lights except airbag light and car with lift symbol. Comes on when pushing button. I do hear a relay click as I push the button. Car un locks all lights work and that’s that. Any advise My ista stopped working but I have autel maxi on 908 with j2543 programmer. Thanks again
Hello, I have a 2004 745i E65 that has an electronic issue where the I drive does not respond on key on, cannot read any code nor reset oil light and if you try to reset anything at dash button it says "Reset not possible" but if cranks for over 10 secs it will start but runs very rough and because (DME) it does not recognize any sensor or reference whatsoever. I got a new battery but cannot initialize battery to the system. It seems like there is no power going to any module other than the ISM/powerbox which is new. no radio if I drive turn on when key on, it give no access to reset anything.Tell me what do you think is the culprit here..
Hello, I've scrolled through so many videos and blogs for a little help I need with my 04 e64. When turning the key (diamond) I'm getting no access power at all, the dash does work as I can run test modules and the small display will show the lights being on etc. the key works remotely and having tested I am getting power to the ignition switch the cas module says it's working via ista... Any suggestions on where to look?
So I'm getting a 2BC9 on an E90 320i, that's DME: terminal 15 monitoring. The car cracks but won't start, I scanned the car, and the terminals in the CAS and supply voltages in the DME all seem fine at 12.18V. Did the DME crab out like that or could it be the CAS unit?
I can start the car with key in, i have radio but my remote wont work to open doors or to stsrt the car without inserting. From my understanding it might be a 30g_f problem. Can i change the relay 30 now? Or dont touch it
So i was a bit stupid, i was supposed to pull the abs fuse, but pulled the wrong one, and with the engine running(stupid) and after i did that i get electronics failure, front doors doesnt work. The window switches, locks etc. and the obd port. Did this trigger the ibs so it shut terminal 30?

I have a 2006 325i E90 Mechanical gauges mph/rpm and fuel all stopped working and CCC on/off occasionally comes on.. P1515 code and A559 Still starts and runs fine but lost gauges and radio/idrive 🤦🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ all fuse check out.
Thank you for the information. I have a 2011 328i convertible. It ran great for about a month, then didn't start. Recovering from hip surgery, I replaced the battery and programmed the battery. (Doubting if I did it correctly, now). The car started right away and after waiting an hour, started again. The next morning, the car did exactly the same thing it was doing before I switched out the battery. It won't start. The scan has multiple codes, some repeat. Terminal 15 does come up under one of the codes. What do I need to do to get my going again? I have watched numerous videos of yours and subscribed to your channel. Any ideas?

I just got the 30E 30L code on my 07 335i it does all kinds of funky stuff going to check the power wire to CAS behind glove box mine starts but randomly stalls out among other things.

Hey iv 08 e60 520d was parked for 2 year due to crank no start and now I’m going to try get it running. When I put in the key the reverse lights are on, but the car is neutral. When I locked the doors at humming under the bonnet for half a minute and three minutes later, it does it again for half minute and so on and so on for about 20 minute sos with a line true it Comes on dash when you enter the key gose off after half a min. And there’s a car on a lift come on after the SOS light any help would be appreciated iv no diagnostics
Hello I have a head scratcher. I have a 09 335i e92 and my lights aren’t working properly. My driver side headlight angle eyes work but not the low beam or turn signal. The passenger side headlight low beam works and the turn signal but not the angle eyes. The rear lights only the brake lights work when j step on the brakes but not when the lights are on. Driver side turn signal works but not the passenger side. Got the frm checked, came back good and was told to reset the short circuit on my protool but that didn’t work either. The code I have is 9ca9. What’s needs to be replaced? I cant figure it out. Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you

Hi guys, I have problems with my e90. I have a problem with the 30b connector. It says to be short circuit. I have the error code 9CAA and have various problems with the external lights. For example, on the front. The left front light works xenon but not the position lights. On the right front light the position works but the xenon does not. On the back, on the left, the stop does not work but the arrow works. While on the right, the stop works but not the arrow. On the rear if I open the luggage carrier the stop also works on the right but the arrow still does not work.

E90 2007 n52 crank no start.. plugs fuel fouling...180+ compression. No leak down with injectors...trying to reset valvetronic motor...initially actual vs requested range was stuck at actual 237 requested 27 or so removed valve cover and vvt motor upon removal did not unload solinoid and heard/felt it spring back to rest position....everything seems ok no excessive wear seen...put back together used scanner to reset parameters and waa instructed to put terminal 15 to sleep 10min put terminal R to sleep wake up terminal 15 then proceed with reset....could not figure out sleep proceedures tried reset anyway, heard motor move got messafe stops reset successfully but ended up with code 2a46 sensor for vvt... not a cheap sensor. 2007 E65 : Hi there I am tracking a Light Module (LM) issue that indicates a terminal 30B fault. I went and checked the 50 AMP fuse under the dash, and replaced it just to be safe, but did not remove the error. Any ideas on what to look for?
E90 328xi, battery died then red steering wheel lock came on, got new DME/CAS, key, & ignition car will spin but doesn’t get fire, we never registered getting a new battery when it was replaced. I’ve tried registering a new battery with a tablet computer but had no luck, it was just a tablet, do you think I just need different programs, would a new IBS instead clear it up? Got a new battery. Registered it as soon as I put it in, now my pump keeps pumping at all times even if my car is locked. Getting a terminal 15 2BA2 code every time I check the logs. 2097 E92 382i 6m. I have a slow drain that will kill the battery in a week. All of a sudden the tail lights, angel eyes and 3rd brake lights are staying on after the care is off. I'm getting the 30g error as well. I have cas module errors but only after the vehicle being at a repair shop with obviously no repairs done.
I own an e92, e90 and e60; and do know quite a lot about both the n54 and n52 engines as I maintain my own vehicles. I’ve also fully rebuilt my own n54. However, this has had to be one of the most helpful videos I’ve seen to this day concerning these vehicles as I’ve been chasing a no start no crank with my e60/terminal 30 error. Did not understand what he meant. My e90 just started giving problem. Hesitates at times while driving and all of a sudden shut off at a stop. I turned it on and within seconds it shut off alone. Next day i try to start but no crank. All types of lights and codes came up in the cluster. Any idea?

Dean, I will be the first to admit that I know nothing about how these cars work and 99% of what you said was meaningless to me. This is my issue: I have a 2018 X1. A couple of weeks ago, it died twice as I was pulling out of my driveway. I had it towed to the local BMW dealership. They ran diagnostics and a complete reboot of the car and could not find any issue. Then, a couple of days ago we were on the road driving from South Carolina to Virginia. We made a rest stop and five minutes later, the car would not start at all. It was towed to a BMW dealership in North Carolina and they determined that we needed a new battery. They installed (and registered) the battery but said they were still getting an F30 Terminal error code. They have no idea what was causing it but the next morning it started just fine with no error code and still seems to be running fine a couple of days later. However, whatever was causing the car/battery to die has not been determined and I have a feeling it is going to happen again. I'd like the local dealer to look at it again to see if they can determine the problem but if they couldn't figure it out before running diagnostics and a reboot, I have no confidence they will figure it out now. What do you suggest? I am wondering what I should tell the dealer that might help them fix this. Otherwise, I think I need to trade the car in for another one that I can trust. THANK YOU!
Do you know if you have a good alternator? The alternator is what charges the battery. If your alternator has gone bad then it isn't properly charging your battery or sometimes it might not charge it at all, so the car won't start. Make sure your alternator is good 👍

The fault is logged when Terminal 15 has been hot for a maximum of ten seconds
Check LIN Bus and Voltage Supply: Examine the lines and connectors between the FZD (possibly the overhead control module) and the SINE (typically the alarm system) for any defects.

Terminal 15 -1, -2, -3 intermittently stays on after the car is turned off. While this is taking place, terminal 15 wake up (Pt Can) is jumping erratically from 0v to 12v. Terminal 15 wake (Acc) 0v.
Resulting in the LED halos, brake lights and other FRM driven accessories to remain on.
Multiple start/stop sequences to finally have the car shut down completely.
LED hallos flicker insanely upon shutdown.
Help!!!
Same problem for my E60 520i N46 2009. Car diagnostic shows problems with Terminal 15 and Terminal 50. I have the same symptoms of LED and lights are remaining on and I have to do many start/stop sequences to shut them down also. I am thinking of changing relays or IBS but I still don't know. Thanks for the info in this video. I have 2011 328ix which has a parasitic draw. This all started after I replaced the battery. I then had it registered by a mechanic. After 3 days my car was dead, I got it recharged but it would show 9 volts if I left it sitting for 2 - 3 days. I ran several amp clamp and 10 amp DVO tests to confirm the vehicle doesn't go to sleep as there is a constant .25 - .5 amp draw even after sitting overnight (thanks to yours and other vids showing how to do the tests). I was able to id the FRM as the power leak by pulling all the fuses and replace them one at a time to discover the leak. I have a scan tool but doesn't work with my BMW. Now after watching your video I'm curious if it's my FRM is the problem or is it some other module that is causing the drain. I have 1 flaw in that my rear windows only go down and not up which is what led me to suspect the FRM. I've since disconnected the motors to prevent any accidental operation. Otherwise the car runs fine except I have to keep it on a charger now - that and the occasional warning lights for "windows" trap and yellow "car on lift".

You think it's ok to re-register the battery after disconnecting and connecting the negative and positive leads together to force a hard reset? I tried it on my GR supra but my car still remembered everything and created more error codes than i was trying to get rid off lol. But now I'm fighting ,isv terminal 30b: state contradiction. Which i think i overvolted the circuit with a PSU when trying to connect to ISTA. Man BMWS are a love hate thing

I have a question about my 335i N54 2007.. I’m having an hard time with the vanos codes.. In particular code 82 and for the loss of boost pressure in the proces i think so.. So after changing my vanos solenoids, new oil hausing the round one.. new oil and all filters am still getting codes and my car goes into limb mode..
Also when am driving the car on a normal city speed the car is acting weird.. It’s kinda shaking as i hold the gas just a bit to stay on the speed limit.. On full throttle nothing happens..

Also put on Programming device.. kept on saying assembly not found on everything. There was a relay sound i used to hear on the driver's side when staring the car. But now no click sound. What could be the possible problem. Please help i get sick without my beemer.
You mean to say if you replace the relay 30 and relay 15 and the relays on the back of that fuse box it will be able to crank and start the car?

ISTA-d shows that right after startup the voltage spikes to 20v and then levels out. I have no fuses blown and 50% of the time the car works seamlessly, the other half it will throw a 4x4! Error message. Ive replaced the xfercase and servo motor and am at my wits end.
👋👋👋 Quick one from me: G11 2018, started having error message on ISTA+ about terminal 30. As a result, I have multiple errors on various modules. None of those stay permanently on - instead, each time I drive a different module has error. Battery voltage measured with meter is 12.06V. I know my way around cars, but G11 2018 is too advanced for me and need your help. I could have caused it myself by leaving my car with open glove box and arm-rest box overnight because we had multiple theft incidents and I wanted thieves to see there is nothing left inside the car. Can kindly you give me some tips and steps to follow to do further troubleshooting and diagnosis?
Hey dean if you read this message , i have a 2007 bmw 320i petrol with only 142k km, long story short the car cranks but doesnt start, chrcked all the fuses they are fine, fuel pump works, removed 1 coil with slark plug and there is no spark, checked grounding cables and they are all good as well, bought a new battery (registered it to the vehicle with a scanner specifically for bmw’s and still no start, would you happen to know if there is a relay thats responsible for giving spark? I will literally pay you for your time, i dont want to get rid of the car cause i know its fixable, everything works! Except there is no spark, thank you do much for reading this.
@BMWDoctor I went to look at an E70 n55 and the car would only start with a trickle charger/booster. Eventually it was having a tough time starting with the trickle charger (the trickle charger seemed to be switching on and off). After running for about 30 minutes it got a misfire on cylinder 3 and 4. I shut the car off and it wouldnt start again, it would turn over for a split second. On the 4th attempt the starter turned over multiple times but it didnt start and it would go back to cranking for a split second. The car started after being left alone for an hour. It did have an error code AOC1 Terminal 50 (Car access module) after the fact and an old stored code for Terminal 15 (Dsc module) that was probably from several thousand km ago. Instrument cluster has a Terminal 30G_F error as well. What would need to be changed to fix this?
hi, I have an F10, replaced the battery about a year ago and did register it (Battery from BMW). Today I received a note on the car screen that car couldn't go to sleep. Scanned and have these errors below (seems all related to a single failure), note that the car is still working with no issues, iDrive operating, car drives, lock and opens, and everything is working:
8020DB: Battery Sensor, Wakeup Line (WUP): Short Circuit to ground or line break
8020E8: Terminal 30F reset/shutdown
C90D60: K-LIN_6 xAUC_Sensor: Internal sensor error (I ordered the sensor to replace it)
CD8E10: LIN bus: communication error
D52C79: Signal error - voltage on board network, ID: U_BN) sender: BME1 - invalid
93076A: Deactivation of terminal 15: OSFG reached, but switch-off preventer active

I don’t see much in the F series. But wondering if hear me out about my issue. I have a 2015 bmw M3 f80. I had a issue with my battery going low and trip the batteries internal relay. I was able to reset it. But since then battery is charging and working but now I have some issues. Backup camera and parking sensors don’t work. Rear heated seat and windows stop working. Also just notice passenger side heated seat don’t work. I have scan it for codes. I have no engine lights but got some FEM and ZGW and REM codes. One of the one there make me come across your video is. Code 8040A6. Activation power activate terminal 30F,short to earth. Along with other codes.
I greatly appreciate your input if able to on the F series.

Excellent information. Where can I find bmw/mini codes. For example I have 931D code showing up along with A559, A3A9 and 9314. I am not able to figure out what these mean on my 2012 mini cooper s countryman. Drivability is fine. Only had a no start condition a few times. Also the 4 codes don’t clear when trying to clear via a scan tool. Any help would be appreciated.

Mini R56. Getting A Clamp 15 is missing along with a host of errors related to the FRM. Is this due to battery drain whilst doing a 15 ECU scan. So the FRM is shutdown.
Hi Bmw Doctor, I have undervoltage at terminal 30 and 15, well the car once was in a minor accident and the battery positive terminal popped & is currently in use. Could this be the problem with the undervoltage? Cause even if I trickle charge the battery to 100%, still my battery would drain. Battery is registered and will changing the cables & getting new one's sort out this issue?

Pressuply pump on n47 keep burning out, it's on 14 volts and 6 bar constantly, replaced flooded ecu wich did not make change, only what we could find was that jbe module see voltage from alternator when running, but says that terminal 15 and 30 off, rest of the modules see them as live. Could this be reason why ekpm gets wrong signal and keep burning pumps out?
Thanks for the information. This is making me think that perhaps I'm having a crank no start because my Kombi is in the red when scanning my f30 with ista. Could this be the case? I do have a code saying the starter isn't spinning. It's a crank no start. Sounds like the starter is spinning. When I push the start button it cranks for maybe 4 seconds each time. Hi Dean BMW Doctor, 2005 E60 530d, Yes I've subscribed a while back, my battery has been replaced and apparently registered to the car, every morning when switching on I get the car on a ramp signal, if left for another 24 hours the battery goes flat no crank no start, I get battery drain excess waring I can't find a garage to look at it, what's possibly causing the fault and what is the IBS cable about, I'm starting to become very frustrated as the AA will get fed up jump starting car. I'm happy to have a go my self if I can get some leads as how to start. Thanks please please help.

How do I reset my FRM circuit counter on my e90? My lights,signals and windows don’t work. I was trying to relearn the VVT motor via INSTA+ but plugging and unplugging the D CAN cable, turning off and on the ignition while the battery was draining, maxed out the circuit counter. Thanks!

Hello. X5 e70 2013 30d xdrive. Ista displays connection errors with almost all modules. CAS, K-Can, SVT, Ihka, etc. On the dashboard I have a leveling system error after starting the car. I will add that I have no problem starting and the car drives normally. The battery was replaced last year and coded by Carly. What could be the problem?
Have a weird issue with mine. Starts and shuts off. Good fuel pressure. Fuel relay works. Fuel pump relay kicks on/off at exact intervals. Also lose connection with dme in those intervals. Playing with throttle can get it to run but rpms easier to 2k rpm, dies out to 1500 rpm, catches itself back to 2000 rpms but at exact time intervals. Matches the fuel pump relay clicking on and off. Also clicking In gearshift but not as fast as the fuel relay. Can't monitor value because connection loss. Read values for only a second then lose connection. Also turning on fuel relay with under the program only activates pump for 2 secs max instead of the 30 secs it states. Also reading dme part number it displays from showing number to not available. Also can't control vanos for relearn.

I have a 2010 328i coupe. Terminal 15 has 0 volts. Terminal 30 has 13.8. Im wondering why I can't read the vin. The trunk is not opening and the a/c is not blowing cold. When the trunk does work after the car sitting, the a/c will blow cold. Ive checked all the fuses.

I replaced the cable on cas module between button and ignition and cas and sins then the key is reading but nothing else is happening even when pushing the button. E90 323i. 2008. My diagnostic is working. I have codes CAS terminal 15 output 1 through to 3.
And the Footwell have codes.
No dash lights except airbag light and car with lift symbol. Comes on when pushing button.
I do hear a relay click as I push the button.
Car un locks all lights work and that’s that.
Any advise
My ista stopped working but I have autel maxi on 908 with j2543 programmer.

Hello, I have a 2004 745i E65 that has an electronic issue where the I drive does not respond on key on, cannot read any code nor reset oil light and if you try to reset anything at dash button it says "Reset not possible" but if cranks for over 10 secs it will start but runs very rough and because (DME) it does not recognize any sensor or reference whatsoever. I got a new battery but cannot initialize battery to the system. It seems like there is no power going to any module other than the ISM/powerbox which is new. no radio if I drive turn on when key on, it give no access to reset anything.Tell me what do you think is the culprit here..
Hello, I've scrolled through so many videos and blogs for a little help I need with my 04 e64.
When turning the key (diamond) I'm getting no access power at all, the dash does work as I can run test modules and the small display will show the lights being on etc. the key works remotely and having tested I am getting power to the ignition switch the cas module says it's working via ista... Any suggestions on where to look?
So I'm getting a 2BC9 on an E90 320i, that's DME: terminal 15 monitoring. The car cracks but won't start, I scanned the car, and the terminals in the CAS and supply voltages in the DME all seem fine at 12.18V. Did the DME crab out like that or could it be the CAS unit?

So i was a bit stupid, i was supposed to pull the abs fuse, but pulled the wrong one, and with the engine running(stupid) and after i did that i get electronics failure, front doors doesnt work. The window switches, locks etc. and the obd port. Did this trigger the ibs so it shut terminal 30?

Thank you for the information. I have a 2011 328i convertible. It ran great for about a month, then didn't start. Recovering from hip surgery, I replaced the battery and programmed the battery. (Doubting if I did it correctly, now). The car started right away and after waiting an hour, started again. The next morning, the car did exactly the same thing it was doing before I switched out the battery. It won't start. The scan has multiple codes, some repeat. Terminal 15 does come up under one of the codes. What do I need to do to get my going again? I have watched numerous videos of yours and subscribed to your channel. Any ideas?

I have replaced and registered my battery but for some reason I still get this battery drain message overnight. Also car wont start in the morning. Any input by any chance? Im pretty stumped on this issue.
So I have an Audi a6 c7, I know different car, different layout, but I have a terminal 30 left fault, as well as my front less passenger light has completely stop working a week ago & not my driver side rear door has also completely shut off, can’t lock that the window won’t open & the child lock won’t work the car starts & everything else works.
Great video and explanation. What is causing on bmw 1 e82 2010 to not turn the ignition on termian 15? Also no communication with the footwell module and no com w dsc?? Steering lock obviously won’t unlock. Thanks

Question battery went totally dead on me from sitting never had a drain issue what so ever could leave the car sit for a few months and would start have the no crank no start and stuck in ignition 1 cannot get to ignition 2 after putting in a new battery fails at registering it....any help greatly appreciated
I just got the 30E 30L code on my 07 335i it does all kinds of funky stuff going to check the power wire to CAS behind glove box mine starts but randomly stalls out among other things.

Hey iv 08 e60 520d was parked for 2 year due to crank no start and now I’m going to try get it running. When I put in the key the reverse lights are on, but the car is neutral. When I locked the doors at humming under the bonnet for half a minute and three minutes later, it does it again for half minute and so on and so on for about 20 minute sos with a line true it Comes on dash when you enter the key gose off after half a min. And there’s a car on a lift come on after the SOS light any help would be appreciated iv no diagnostics
Hello I have a head scratcher. I have a 09 335i e92 and my lights aren’t working properly. My driver side headlight angle eyes work but not the low beam or turn signal. The passenger side headlight low beam works and the turn signal but not the angle eyes. The rear lights only the brake lights work when j step on the brakes but not when the lights are on. Driver side turn signal works but not the passenger side.
Got the frm checked, came back good and was told to reset the short circuit on my protool but that didn’t work either. The code I have is 9ca9. What’s needs to be replaced? I cant figure it out. Any help would really be appreciated. Thank you

Hi guys, I have problems with my e90. I have a problem with the 30b connector. It says to be short circuit. I have the error code 9CAA and have various problems with the external lights. For example, on the front. The left front light works xenon but not the position lights. On the right front light the position works but the xenon does not. On the back, on the left, the stop does not work but the arrow works. While on the right, the stop works but not the arrow. On the rear if I open the luggage carrier the stop also works on the right but the arrow still does not work.
I have the passenger restraint error. code 93D7. Fault in airbag module. If i buy a used module how can i get it programmed to work on my car
To shut terminal 15 and r off is it just by turning the key in the off position and turn key on to turn them back on

The starter will not run more than a second, so could this be related to the terminal 30 or 15 relays you mention here? Thanks a million.
E90 2007 n52 crank no start.. plugs fuel fouling...180+ compression. No leak down with injectors...trying to reset valvetronic motor...initially actual vs requested range was stuck at actual 237 requested 27 or so removed valve cover and vvt motor upon removal did not unload solinoid and heard/felt it spring back to rest position....everything seems ok no excessive wear seen...put back together used scanner to reset parameters and waa instructed to put terminal 15 to sleep 10min put terminal R to sleep wake up terminal 15 then proceed with reset....could not figure out sleep proceedures tried reset anyway, heard motor move got messafe stops reset successfully but ended up with code 2a46 sensor for vvt... not a cheap sensor. Willing to believe sensor bad...previous readings seemed extreme ...whatr are the odds the car will run after the sensor and reset are done....this car is kicking my butt...thanks in the BMW learning curve.. trial by fire,,,,,

2007 E65 : Hi there I am tracking a Light Module (LM) issue that indicates a terminal 30B fault. I went and checked the 50 AMP fuse under the dash, and replaced it just to be safe, but did not remove the error. Any ideas on what to look for?

E90 328xi, battery died then red steering wheel lock came on, got new DME/CAS, key, & ignition car will spin but doesn’t get fire, we never registered getting a new battery when it was replaced. I’ve tried registering a new battery with a tablet computer but had no luck, it was just a tablet, do you think I just need different programs, would a new IBS instead clear it up? Help is appreciated
(Edit: old CAS/DME were sent to auction after being scammed on a module diagnosis by ECU Team Corp in Florida. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR STUFF THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY COMMUNICATION STANDARDS

For example, the light to lock your (switch) door does not work, but also the light does not work where you can change your mode to eco or sport, etc. But also the lights of the window switch do not work on all doors except the driver's side there does it work and also the and also the ambilight does not work. You know the two little orange lights near the reading light.

Registered it as soon as I put it in, now my pump keeps pumping at all times even if my car is locked.
Getting a terminal 15 2BA2 code every time I check the logs.

I can try registering the battery again. It isn’t the thermostat btw, the thermostat is working fine
