I was waiting also if you need to do it in the future take the end off the driveshaft and bolt it back in to the hub.
As long as you learn from your mistake.

The carbon disc fitted on passenger side had R marked on it and an arrow going the wrong direction. Might be worth checking the disc as it might belong on the other side. Could be wrong.
So you got a correct driveshaft then, looking forward to you beating the odds and getting the car fixed 👍

You really knew that bearing was going to pop. You didn't clamp it together after removing the drive shaft, I was waiting for it to happen the moment you pulled the shaft and didn't put a stub in it.

Hardly, User error on the bearing failure, removing the driveshaft left the bearing without support, need to at least leave the cv joint in to avoid bearing failure, thats why they leave the cv joints in the front axles when converting 4wd to rwd. Certainly not a project for the faint hearted though and deep pockets, will be sweet when its finished though.
Yeah needed a new bearing anyway as it took a big wack. Thought it would last a little road test though 🤣

Matt should have sold it to you for way less. He already did the math and knew what it would cost to repair. This build will end up costing you more than a decent second hand huracan. I honestly would I have felt bad selling that to someone.
But he will be offsetting some the cost against his TH-cam revenue, hopefully making it a viable repair.
It will cost more for sure. For anyone else it would make zero sense.
That’s not that big an issue when it’s being done on a TH-cam channel for content, as well as probably being up for grabs on Compete For Cars when it’s done. I’m sure Dean knows what he’s doing and has weighed up the variables.
