    You're freakin amazing. I can't imagine a better example of what it looks like when an artist is doing their thing. You are sooo starkly opposite of country, but you can sing the heck out of it.😊 Thanks for showing us how to analyze a genre and use it.💕

      It's called effects, he's using a ton of effects. Not that there's anything wrong with that, a lot of country singers use a ton of effects.

    • @gasmaskatl
      @gasmaskatl ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alexolivarez732 hoping to educate you since there apparently is a wide audience of people who make this assumption
      there isn’t a way to turn a singer’s voice from one entire cadence to another, this is technique, not effects
      audio effect technology cannot take a clip of audio and then warp it to make the person sound entirely different
      autotune can’t do that like people like to think either, it just adjusts the pitch of your vocal, and it will sound horrible for this style if you don’t sing well already going into the effect

    • @gasmaskatl
      @gasmaskatl ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alexolivarez732 and also, his vocal chain is actually extremely dry coming off of that microphone, there are very few effects outside of some volume shifts on his voice, so no, it is not effects whatsoever

    Great! You could never really expect a professional southern raised country singer to do tutorials like this, because they do it naturally, & by listening to nothing but country music, so they wouldn't understand how to technically relay things to teach one how to sing the way they do. That said, I do appreciate your video for the teaching Of techniques that should Aid in being able to mimic certain country artists.

      Thanks for watching!
      You don’t need as much of the “country scoop”, but speaking the lyrics, first, getting comfortable with your country pronunciation, then singing the notes with the same diction/inflection should get you close on the style! Also, make sure that your tone is clear and not breathy! (Voice buzz/vocal fry will work here very well)
      Also, just make sure that your pitch, intonation, and rhythm are locked in to your accompaniment (whether that be a live band, guitar, or a karaoke track), and you should be able to sing Heartache on the dance floor very well! 🙌

I'm garbage at guitar but Workin on it I just wanna be a campfire guitarist/singer nothing professional just decent. grew up dirt floor poor very little ac in these east Texas summers. It ain't all riding bulls and raisin calves out here it's real work and real heart and I'm jealous of your skill man do you offer paid lessons over facetime or something like that if not do you know someone who does and a question what made you as good as you are. Like you said no country accent no twang, naturally but he'll man out here where I'm from you'd be a pussy getting machine lol with the voice alone sorry for the profanity but only word I could think of lol

      It’s true! These tips are indeed meant for folks who don’t have it naturally! There is more to country music than just the sound (such as musicianship, lyrics/story, image, songwriting ability and so much more)!
      Our goal was just to help supplement folks who love country music with some quick practical tips to help one aspect! 💪

    I play guitar and sing a little and I wanted sing country songs, so in order to get the country sound , I would go around druing the day taking and singing in an exaggerate southern drawl and then tweaked it and toned it back a little, kinda work for me

    This is totally wrong you try to find your own voice and range and octave.

    • @tayloracademyofmusic8873
      @tayloracademyofmusic8873  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment!
      That being said, I wanted to reply to this, and give some extra information for anyone else who may be reading it!
      1. Range is simply the highest and lowest note that you can sing. With training, like any other muscle, in the body, it can expand and increase in strength. This would be like saying, “you try to find your own muscular strength”.
      2. One cannot find “their octave”. An octave is a term that describes the distance between 8 notes (or 12 half steps). Again, with proper vocal training, someone can expand their range, thus opening up more notes (or “octaves”) for them to sing with. that being said, I actually agree that it’s important to sing within a comfortable range when getting started so that you can improve on your fundamentals! (This would be like lifting an appropriate weight at the gym).
      3. Finding “your voice” it’s mainly done by taking what you naturally do in your speaking voice, and translating it to the way that you sing.
      Along the way, with proper vocal training, you end up finding idiosyncrasies and unique things that you can add to your style. That being said, most people benefit from studying several different styles, to experiment in order to find those things that make their voice unique.
      When I teach my students, I actually avoid most of the “style” in the beginning, simply because the foundational technique of singing paired with excellent pitch and rhythm mean far more than any stylistic thing someone can add to their voice!
      Thanks again and happy singing! 🙌
