    Hey I love the video man. I feel like there's a lack of instructional videos when it comes to modding arcade sticks. In the future do you plan on covering stick mods? Such as the golden fanta mod kit or springs/actuators? It's something that I don't really understand.

    Nice tutorial as always JoyStickNY. When I did my Sanwa swap I actually opted to use the quanba switches and qanba wiring harness on the Sanwa JLF since my Sanwa switch board was pretty old and in need of a replacement. It is kind of a pain to get the switches to sit on the Sanwa mount and get the gate on without one of the switches moving out of place, but once it's all set with the gate on it works very well!

    Thanks for all the videos! It's been helping me a lot! I bought a Drone as my 1st stick & I'm very happy!
    So the hardware besides Stick & Buttons, how important is it?
    Will I "waste" my full Sanwa upgrade on a cheap drone? Or would it be better to pimp a more expensive stick?
    I'm spending about the same amount off cash on upgrades as I did for the stick.. So any clarity would be nice, thanks!
    also would LED buttons work with Drone?

    Hi JoyStickNY, i just bought my qanba drone, button is ok, dont mind that much but dont like the accuracy of the joystick at all. im kinda sad now. Im an old school arcade gamer, i want the joystick to be as close as old arcade machine joystick possible, any advice?? i think seimtsu joystick will be the closest to old arcade machine joystick. if it is, then which model seimtsu joystick should i buy for my qanba drone? link would be fantastic. thanks

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mamun Hossain i been playing in the arcade since 2000, the parts that was in the usa arcades were happ part. They were circular gate and they feel tighter. The qanba drone lever and button is actually better than what was it the arcades, i think maybe you have to give it some time, Japanese parts are more loose, but loose doesnt make it less accurate, if you prefer a tigher feel, you can change the spring on the lever to a heavier spring or change to happ. But i dont recommend happ. Qanba is very close to sanwa, try to give it more time. Let me know in the future, if you really dont like it, i ll give you some links to seitmitsus

Wasn't plannin' on switchin' out the stick so early but was glad to know it was so easy to do. Snagged one of these off amazon but the stick felt really... stiff? I guess is the word? picked up a Sanwa replacement and a bat top instead of the ball and plopped 'em in today and omg it feels SO freakin' nice... kinda wantin' to do the buttons next to swap out the all black stock ones. Great question and observation, your are correct, fighting game has a very small community,fighting game is the least popular game genre compare to every other genre, like shooting, RPG, sports, mmorpg, story, much more. Fighting game can be hard, becuz it takes time to learn, fighting game can also he boring becuz someone is just pressing the same buttons over n over again, and there is nothing new on the screen, there is no story to it. Someone can play final fantasy for 10 hours easily, but someone can get bored at fighting game in 10 minutes. If you like it, i would recommend finding a game you like that has a good online system, and play online more. I love fighting games and i can play it 10+ hours. But i can tell you its going to be huge, and i am going to let you know why, i have a video on that topic soon 🙏❤️😊🕹

    It took me forever to remove the ball top off of my Qanba Q4 RAF with the flat head screwdriver as the threads were basically stuck together and the buttons were just as hard to get out. I couldn't remove the quick release from the buttons and I couldn't do it with the flat head screwdriver but I managed to use a pair of pliers to wriggle them out with some force. After I remove the parts and put it back together since I just wanted to see if I can remove them, I find it easier to remove the connections as I see fit. I think it's the age of the parts as I got the stick used. Luckily I don't really need to mod the stick as it already has Sanwa parts and connects to PC out of the box. I do intend to change the artwork when I get the chance.

    • @JoystickNY

      rxzero00 you can also loosen up or widen the metal connection, its must metal and its designed to be bent. That way in the future you can just use your hands to unplug them 🙏 thank you for watching

  • @theelusivememe1772
    @theelusivememe1772 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    do you have to have the metal part of the wire connected all the way down on the metal part of the button? On my hori rap n, the metal part that you pull up is really stuck on there so when i reconnected it, I connected it back just a little past halfway so next time it isn't so hard to take out. Will this cause any issues if, as of right now, the buttons seems to work perfectly?

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      the elusive meme you can actually adjust that metal part with a plier, you can loosen it up and then plug it in and clamp it tight, its soft metal meant to be bent.

    • @theelusivememe1772
      @theelusivememe1772 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JoystickNY i dont have a problem putting the metal part on, its more the taking it off the button part that is hard. I use pliers to lift it up a little than I just pull it out. • @JoystickNY

      honestly you should mod the buttons to sanwa, noticeably difference in quality. Drone buttons feel cheap and hollow. Well it depends on how sensitive do you like when it comes to button presses. Sanwa buttons are really sensitive as just a tiny touch can trigger the buttons. Sanwa levers are also really lose out of the box to me. You can fix that with a heavier spring or a tighter stick like those from Seimitsu. I like Seimitsu buttons because you need a little more force. If you like mechanical keyboards, then maybe Gamefinger buttons or Crown buttons as they use mechanical switches. I think the modern Hayabusa buttons from Hori are close to Sanwa but with a matte finish instead of the typical glossy finish. Also to consider is your budget really. Qanba buttons are close to Sanwa. For my Qanba Q1W I just use Seimitsu buttons and a Seimitsu LS-32 stick but I just use it for 3D fighters like Tekken and Virtua Fighter, other arcade games, shoot em ups, and Touhou Project games. My other Qanba Q4 RAF, I have it already stocked with Sanwa parts so I just use it for other fighters when I don't feel like using a game pad controller.

    is the seimitsu stick the most precise stick because in your comparison video you said that it was best at diagonals and im still a bit confused which category the stick would fall in

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Da_Masterdude Lol technically it is the most precise in terms of how hard you press, becuz of the metal, every little pressure you push will show, where as other switches are simple just press or not pressed, thats why seitmitsu is more accurate in that catergory. But in fighting game, that pressure doesnt really matter becuz there is no input that has partial press or half press, if you know what i mean, generally speaking, they all work great, if you arw unsure, go with sanwa . There are a few used Madcatz TE2 sticks for sale in my area (SF4 "rivals" and a SF5 Chun-Li). Both are in "like new" condition, and are about the same price (maybe even cheaper) as a Quanba Drone + upgraded parts. Would you recommend the TE2s over the modded Drone? Thanks for your help!

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Elite Company great question by the way, the sanwa lever usually comes with a square restrictor gate, some people like to swap it, and pop in a octagon gate, there is no advantage in terms of game play, but they give you a different feeling, for example, on a 🟥 gate, notice up down left right is a flat wall, and on a octagon every direction is a corner, so it feels very different. Thats the biggest difference, i do have a video coming up soon and i will be talking about it in more details 🙏❤️🕹 new players prefer the octagon gate because its easier to learn, because there is a true direction,

    Since I'm new with Arcade stick, what's the benefit of changing the buttons to sanwa? Will it be hard to play on my Qanba drone with its normal buttons? Thanks for your time 🙏

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The benefit is , it feels abit more responsive and more smooth; possibly the switches in the button and spring is more well made

    What would be a better choice the qanba drone fully modded with sanwa parts or a Hori RAP V Hayabusa for switch but no modding? I play on PC if it matters

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally like the hori rap V, its a bigger and heavier stick; plays more comfy on your lap

    This qanba drone stick is TRASH!! Considering its asking price, the quality is RUBBISH!!! now i will have to look for the parts and do the mod to be able to play games with it, for the one who are looking to buy a fight stick, AVOID this!!

    • @JoystickNY
      @JoystickNY  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You actually can play it as is, its pretty good, but you always have the option to get diff parts that fits your style, imo, i think this is best stick for its price. ❤️

      @@JoystickNY The lever is horrible......I'm not a good fighting game player, but basic combos are no brainer for me, with this lever i cant even get a shoryuken going every time, it just didnt register my inputs correctly.....
