    I love how you say to support a local farmer with buying meat from them. I am a small farmer & it is a hard & expensive season. People who value local small farm raised meat is what keeps us going.

      I wish I could support my local farmer but they don't let us know we can buy from them. I would be happy to. I buy many of the veggies I don't grow from my local farms..

    You can can on a glass top stove. I do it all the time. You just have to check with the manufacturer. I have been canning on my for years.

      I can on my glass cooktop. I do recommend you check in your stove manual to see if you can. I think it depends on how old your stove is.

      I use my 16 qt on glass top, not as big as yours, so check recommendations. Also, mine said NOT to use it on an outdoor device like you used. Said the temp isn't regulated easily & can damage canner.

    Some people just have a teacher's spirit. It's so important to have such an anointing when teaching others!! This is an excellent video. I really wish every food preservation channel was this well produced and informative. Many who have been canning forever forget that there are newbies looking for clear instruction. But it really just comes down to being blessed with a spirit to teach. 👍

    I've been pressure canning on my glass top for 3 years. I called the manufacturer before trying it and they said it's fine. Been doing for 3 years now 😊

      Looks like Bre has a huge all American canner, it may be too heavy for her glass top, especially loaded

      @@itsbreellis It is the Presto canners that can be used on a glass top. You still need to verify the specific stove you have as not all stoves are certified safe to can on.

    Excellent fair evaluation of farming practices. Beef is not the enemy. Neither are chicken or pork for that matter. Thanks for that. I can for prepping though not a fanatic about it, but if you salt like you eat you can make a bad situation much better by having familiar comforting nutritious food.

    And don't forget to put a few tablespoons of white vinegar in your canner before you begin. It will keep your jars from getting a mineral deposit on them and prevent them from looking cloudy. Also a little hearty burgundy wine in your stew really adds to the flavor, just cook it off a bit before you jar it up to cook off the alcohol.

    I also got a glass top stove ,but I do cann on mine u just got to have the rite canner .mine is a presto and it works grate on my stove .there is a gap from the out side to help some heat disapate

    Sure you can use a glass top stove. If your pressure cooker is too loud your doing something wrong. Use the lowest stove setting to achieve 10-11 pounds. Ill try this recipe. My favorite is pork shoulder that I use for chili verde. Thanks.

    You CAN pressure can in glass stove top. Just don’t slide the heavy canner around.

    Jar not can.. pickled quail eggs. Our next to last video. It was nice and delicious. Kids did great. We will be canning sometime in the future.

    I pressure can on my glass top stop all the time with an All American 930 canner; been doing this for 5 years with no drama but I am extremely careful when shifting it when fully loaded.

    I just started the video and I will resume it after I comment, but I had to point this out. (It's good so far, by the way.)
    "Industrial farming" is a problem. I totally agree.
    You obviously are continuing to research and learn more about what is true and what is healthy.
    Having said that, I MUST point out the larger problem.
    Those who have developed and pushed "industrial farming" are the same ones who push solar farms and huge wind farms, which kill our birds and our bees.
    They are the ones adding fluoride to our water, and who have forced us all to go from glass bottles to plastic. Now they are preaching the evils of the plastic they pushed.
    Keep your eyes open. You are brilliant. Connect the dots. Notice the hypocrisy.
    In the 60's and 70's they were warning us all about the impending ice age, to control us and push changes that made them rich and powerful.
    That didn't really work (for most) but many succumbed to that lie and became reactionary, but not in a good way.
    Then they pushed another thing (different form of threat to our planet) from the opposite direction, under a different name, but when people caught on, they renamed it and they keep pushing it.
    I just wanna say, when I hear "sustainable" I cringe! That's their trigger word, and everyone (most people) are buying into it!
    They DO NOT mean sustainable like you and I might think of sustainable.
    They mean sustainable to sustain their control, and their narratives. They mean sustainable to sustain their possession and use of resources, and their ultimate goals.
    They are pushing their false agendas to own and control everything!
    So... I love your enthusiasm and your wanting to steward God's beautiful creation, but when people keep repeating their terminology, psychologically it plants the idea that we all agree with their premise.

      My brother in law raises beef, not a lot of them, but a few. That grass fed beef tastes very different than the store bought beef.

    Just fyi, I have a 16 qt pressure canner & use it on my ceramic stove all the time. It actually says safe for ceramic, but DO NOT use on a propane eye like a grill or turkey fryer.

    Really great video and I love canning my wild game, but wanted to get into stews and vegetables. Do you realize after 90 minutes if the potatoes or vegetables become mushy?

      I didn’t have that problem! The vegetables had more of a slow cooker texture then anything else!

    Can you do the same thing with water bath method.
    I've seen people put raw beef and vegetables in the can and it cooks during the sealing process, will this result in less flavor or a tough texture?

      Nope. All meat products need to be pressure canned

      You can!! They have lids you can buy that are plastic that work great! You can use the steel lids, if you have some rust after use just toss them!

    Nice video! FYI Salt is always optional in canning. It has no purpose other than taste, in the canning process.
