I get it… a little bit. I got the chance to hold them both next to each other, and the dials are similar with brilliant textures on the dials of each watch. I don’t think the watches are clones or anything like that, but just well done intricate dials make them seem similar. The case size is also similar, but so are half the sports watches in the market.
@@ronniep9272 what I was getting at was at my age there are so many other priorities for my money. I don’t see watches as investments as I have no intention of selling the ones I buy. Never get into debt buying these things. My friend owns a pawn brokers and he gets high end watches every day from people who spent 1000’s on them when times were good, but now they need cash….idiots.
Of all the watch models mentioned, I like the Laureato the best. It is absolutely timeless and very stylish. However, I would only consider the black dial. And I am actually a little worried that the integrated bracelet won't fit perfectly. As great as I think the watch is, the current price of 15k is very daring.
What an elegant watch & Great review as always :) I've got a black Rolex Milgauss 116400 (2008, w/ clear sapphire glass) and got offer to swap with GP Laureato 42 w/ Blue dial. What would you do if you were in my shoes ? It looks risky in terms of value retention... I wonder your thoughts on this kind of offer.
Hey. Thanks for your kind words. It's tough. In terms of retention value the Rolex would be a better choice. Especially since the Milgauss is discontinued if you like the watch you may regret trading it. But the GP offers more in in terms of horology.
You mentioned forget AP and Nautilus but I say forget AP, Nautilus, Overseas, Ingenieur and Laureato too! Correct! Today Wempe makes the best over all integrated style timepieces inteligently designed which combines a bit of everything from the greats of the past at a bargain price. I strongly suggest checking them out, the Iron Walker models, I think you'll be impressed😉
@@ronniep9272it’s like saying Royal oak is a copy of Cartier santos because The bults on Royal Oaks bezel are a copy from Santos because Santos was launched much earlier than RO
Please make your homework first. Laureato launched in 1975. (Nautilus 1976). Royal oak was launched 3 years before in 1972 but was a big fail for ap. They sell only 1000 pieces in the first 2 years.
The finishing is impeccable
Yes. It is great.
@OneManReviews I'm an owner of the Aston martin loreato F1 edition and so much inlove with GP. Great content keep them coming
Beautiful! GP is very much underrated
Agree.
Hugely underrated watch and brand 👌
I agree☝️
Very good review!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Always loved the GP
Such an underrated watch brand.
I don’t understand the Royal Oak resemblance comments, it’s a completely different design, maybe the lugs I guess but nowhere else.
I definitely agree with you. I see it as a different watch.

I much prefer the look of this compared to the RO
Totally different to me as well. I own both royal oaks as well as laureatos
When I’ve put both my kids through Uni, paid off my mortgage and got my pension portfolio up to 2 million I’m definitely buying this watch.
I have this model on my wish list too :)
The watch will probably cost a lot more by then.

Agree 🙌
@@OneManReviews btw like your easy going and honest review👍🏼 keep it up 👍🏼
Nice review. What size is your wrist?
Thanks. It is 17cm.
That’s a nice watch
Dont forget Vc overseas !!!!!!
That's a good option but also very hard to obtain.

nice watch, unfortunately it does look like an AP or an homage of sorts and a bit steep in price
I think that the price is fair for the sports watch with the manufacture movement from brand like GP.
this Logo is to big
Beautiful but too much of a Royal Oak copy. Homage watches are fine but nit at this price.
wrong not copy at all...the case and bracelet is very different.....GP is much nicer and better quality than Royal joke
@@The_real_Mr_Ghost the octagonal look is a blatant copy and the bracelet is from the Nautilus.
