@@TymekStolarz very well done! I think I’m going to go with the edelkrone. I just do not want to spend the money right now 😂 would you not recommend the SlideOneV2? I like that it’s small and portable. Thanks!
i actually made a video comparing the sliderone and the slider plus. basically both of them have similar smoothness and just come down to how long of a slide you need. there are times when the smaller slider length is more than fine, especially for the finer macro shots of products. but there is a lot of things i wanted to do with the longer slider length. overall i think id prefer the longer length, but it is a little more cumbersome to set up needing a separate motor, cant really travel with it easily etc. pros and cons to both.
@@TymekStolarz dude thank you so much for the feedback! Really good stuff but now I’m not sure what one to get 😅 they both look awesome. I really want it for commercial product shoots where the longer one would be better but I also want it for the home office for TH-cam. Thanks again for the help!

Hi Tymek, Nice review! Just subbed. I have the Edelkrone but they keep updating their products too fast. Tried to get the trade up but it hasn’t worked. This led me to look at the Zeapon. Looking for an update on the E800 and when the tilt and pan motors are released. Have you seen the hyla suction cups you can use to mount on a car, windows and other flat surfaces which gives you more creative options. Also the angles that the sliders are be placed with a load capacity from 3.5-4.5kg is really nice. As you mentioned, they have carbon fiber or leg frame support that makes the edges more stable when it slides to either edges without the need of a bulky tripod (like with Edelkrone). And I like the option of the dolly wheels. Anyhow, if Zeapon does send some your way, do let me know.
Yea they do update their products pretty quick which i guess is a great and bad thing at the same time haha. its good to know they are constantly innovating and improving but as a consumer its sucks not having the latest gear they release. I am quitting my job in a couple weeks to take a swing at this full time, hopefully over a year or two i can grind out enough videos to be big enough to do sponsorships and product reviews provided by companies. I havent seen anything about the added motors unfortunately but it should make the system a lot more versatile. i still havent tested the unit out myself but i've seen mostly great reviews about the sliders performance. i've seen those suction cups and i also like the dolly wheels, they are definitely trying to innovate as well and trying to set themselves apart.
@@TymekStolarz Nice! Good luck doing YT full time. Looks like you have an act for this line of work. And hopefully you can grow your channel fast and get some steady income.
Thank you for the kind words. And the only way to get better is to just do it so that’s the plan. Build a library of videos, get better with each video. We ll see how that goes lol.
I've gone for the micro 2 and it's pretty much perfect as i already have an RS2 Gimbal. I have a few options for powering the rs2 option 1 was a yc onion power supply base this takes 2 npf batteries mounting either side. The weight of this alone is 800+ grams. I also have a tilta power supply base for the rs2 this weighs about 200g it's powered by a V mount battery on to the rs2 i added a bmpcc 4k in a full cage. with the yc onion power this was too much for vertical shots and the belt slipped. but the tilta power base was light enough that the micro 2 could lift the gimbal vertically. to be fair at a 45 degree angle both setups work.
@@TymekStolarz I was ready for it, slider seems to be ok with it, no problems reaching either end. Biggest problem has been finding a good bag for carrying the RS2 and the micro 2 and a camera and maybe a tripod too. There is a backpack made by Edelkrone for its one flash system. bags big enough to hold the rs2 pro bag the micro2 and the bmpcc in a camera bag. I do have a 32 litre temba bag coming which may work out better.
Haha good job! And thanks for commenting. I probably did have the most positive things to say about Edelkrone. I think any slider will always be better than no slider. I use them in a lot of my videos especially for broll.
What's the heaviest setup you have used on the slider long? Also given that the slider moves and you can only mount in the centre, have you found any issues with using the maximum sliding length?
I’d have to double check the actual weight of all the gear, but I think I’ve had it in the 75-85% weight capacity when I had checked it last a while ago. I did reach out to ask about weight capacity and edelkrone support said that having at 100% was okay, and that you shouldn’t have any issues with failure or excess wear and tare as long as you are under 100 % capacity.
Tymek I don't have any slide system at all ! like the info however, I think when you present the specs of the each slider would be so beneficial to any person who wants to know more, to keep all the specs and comparison a little bit longer on the screen, for those who are into it, it's just my thoughts.
Good evening and thanks :) I am just trying to keep the pace of the video moving. I suggest pausing the video if you want to read all the details. Thanks again :)
Tymek, you can still talking and get the screen longer on, i wasn't able to cutch all he specs info. I think this is very important who does care about it. Just my suggestion.
That’s a good question. Im going to guess wide like 16 mm full frame you’ll probably see it towards the end. 24 mm might not be visible the whole way. I’ll test it later this evening when I have access to my equipment
@@TymekStolarz thanks so much - was looking at this for real estate application - vs Zeapon or waiting for the Slypod Pro with 22" travel and camera sitting on end of track, with no possibility of screen blocking....
Hey there sorry about the super late reply. So I tested it out and this is what I found: If you are using something like the Edelrkone flex tilt head that keeps your camera really low to the slider. You can basically see the end of the slider for most of the track for 17 and 24 mm. If you raise the flex tilt head, or use a ball head ( like the manfrotto XPRO ball head) then the 24 mm you can almost get to the opposite end of the track before you start seeing the other side. 17 mm you can see it around the middle unfortunately.
I have the exact same setup coming in the mail, 055 tripod and all. I saw you mention in your other video about the sagging you have with your slider. Does this happen with any amount of gear mounted, or only when you're using the dual HeadOnes? I just crunched the numbers on weight, and the regular v5 long slider is only good for ten pounds on tripod, and the dual head one setup itself comes to 3.5 pounds roughly, cutting it close when you have a camera with a sizeable lens mounted... I only ordered one HeadOne for my setup so far, but I'm considering getting the tilt. Problem is I want to be able to use a Blackmagic Pocket 4k or my Fujifilm XT-4. If I want tilt, that's the only option I can go with this slider, because the HeadPlus is five pounds on its own and would definitely cause some issues. What are your thoughts?
Good morning :) So in that sag test i did, i actually didn't have any HeadOnes attached, just my camera and a Manfrotto tripod head. So 3.6 pounds for the camera and lens, and an extra 1.1 pounds for the head - I would have probably gotten even more sag with the full setup. This problem is more so the tripod though, not the slider. That middle column designs that allows you to extend upwards is the weak spot and you can see how it shifts back and forth. Someone commented that they use the Manfrotto 536 tripod and even with a HeadPlus set up they don't get any sag. Yea if you wanted the HeadPlus, you would definitely need the more expensive Pro slider. It looks like on Edelkrone they say that a Slider long regular, and the 2 HeadOnes w/ tilt kit should handle 7 pounds of camera load, which i think should cover most DSLR, mirrorless setups, even with heftier lenses.
@@TymekStolarz Good morning, thank you for the response. This is good information to know, wish I could afford to dish out on a higher quality tripod, but I'll make do with what I have until then.
Same here haha. I’ve noticed that adding a pan motion makes the dip very difficult to detect. Also just using less of the slider length will help a lot. I tried adding rotation key frames in post but it’s tedious and looks a little odd sometimes.
@@TymekStolarz I wish the center column had a hook so I could use weight to weigh it down, that might negate the effects. I see a number of folks using the 055 with Edelkrone so they must be getting by as well. Maybe if I start making money on my investment I'll buy the better tripod.
Yea I had thought that too. Thankfully there is still a lot that you can do with the set up, even if it isn’t absolutely perfect. The upgraded tripod is something I want but don’t need at this moment. I think I want to get the JibONE one day, at which point the heftier tripod will be necessary.
Can edleKron travel as fast as the Rhino? I have a mini Ursa and I'm woried, that it would either fall over or cause a dip in the footage that is more extreme than with the lighter cameras you showed in your demo.
Hey there George :) I looked up the stats and it looks like Edelkrone's max speed on the Slider plus (2.52 in/sec) is half as fast as Rhino (5 in/sec), so definitely quite a bit slower. Camera weight probably changes these speeds too. As far as dip goes, i've been told that a solid 75-100mm bowl tripod is absolutely necessary to really anchor the slider in place, especially at its end limits. The Ursa is definitely a lot of camera, not sure what the weight of your lens and accessories would be but the Slider Long v5 pro is rated up to 9kg cameras on the tripod. As long as you have a solid one, and extend the legs farther than the slide itself and your set up is under 9kg, I dont see why it shouldn't work. If you have any concerns id recommend reaching out to Edelkrone, their technical support is some of the best i've ever received.
This was by far the most informative slider video I've seen. New to this side of the video industry and trying to make a proper and informed decision about which product. I think I have selected the Edelkrone really like the concept of starting out small and working up. Toss up between that and the GVM system. Do you have any points of view on the GVM 3 axis carbon fiber system? Would love your input on that system? Again thanks CHEERS from throughourlens.ca
Hey there :) thank you very much for the kind words! Yes I really liked that about edelkrone as well, and now I am considering getting the motorized JIBONE and because I have the headones I can just add it to the system instead of buying a whole new set of heads. I haven’t heard a lot about GVM, it looks like the slider itself is rated quite well at least for B AND H, it kind of looks like a similar system to the Neewer slider; however the 3 axis system doesn’t seem to be as well received, although on b and h there are only 7 reviews, but 4 of them are only 1 star. Without looking too much more into it that kind of raises a little bit of a flag
The simplicity of the Edelkrone system again tops the list. I went to B&H to check it out the GVM Reviews and When a review starts with ” poor quality don't bother” it makes you wonder. After I read the other 2 my mind is made up. It’s going to cost a bit more then I expected but I feel the investment to get started with good quality EQ is essential. Will be reviewing the rest of the videos on your channel. Keep up the good work really appreciate the information I’ve learned so far. Ciao
Hello I was seeing your video to make up my mind about the best slider and ended up buying a slider from a company you didn't review, and in my opinion is way better tan the Neewer slider. Check out the Noxon Mod Slider because it's amazing and it has a pretty good price. Keep up the good work
Hey there :) Yeah there were a few sliders I left out because their are so many and it would have been too long of a video. Thank you for the suggestion, i may not be looking at the right model but it seems like their sliders are quite a bit more expansive then Neewer. But it definitely looks better quality and a much more solid slider. Which one did you buy specifically?
@@TymekStolarz Hello Tymek, thank you for taking the time to read and respond my comment. I bought the 80cm mod slider with panning and tilting modules. The thing I liked the most is that the slider has an interchangeable rail system and i can have a 120cm slider without having to buy a complete unit. Also is really precise I use it with a Laowa 24mm x 2 lens so presition was pretty important for me and gladly this slider didn't let me down.
Not a problem! I reply to everyone and I enjoy talking to people about their tech :). Well that’s good to hear. And the slider itself is very smooth? No shaky footage? Or do you have to add stabilization in post to get rid any micro jitters. It seems like every slider always has some.
@@TymekStolarz I was expecting some vibration when using the Laowa lens, but I was surprised to see there was none. The slider movement is really smooth in all 3 axes. I didn't need to add any stabilizer. If you need a reliable slider I think this one is the best choice on the market right now.

i actually made a video comparing the sliderone and the slider plus. basically both of them have similar smoothness and just come down to how long of a slide you need. there are times when the smaller slider length is more than fine, especially for the finer macro shots of products. but there is a lot of things i wanted to do with the longer slider length. overall i think id prefer the longer length, but it is a little more cumbersome to set up needing a separate motor, cant really travel with it easily etc. pros and cons to both.
@@TymekStolarz dude thank you so much for the feedback! Really good stuff but now I’m not sure what one to get 😅 they both look awesome. I really want it for commercial product shoots where the longer one would be better but I also want it for the home office for TH-cam. Thanks again for the help!
haha i know its a tough call. what i REALLy want is the KIRA - motorized precision lol. Best of luck on your decision and future video making :) Take care
Hi Tymek,
Nice review!
@@TymekStolarz
Nice!
Nice! well thats quite the set up, but definitely the weight can start to add up. I hope no damage was caused when the belt slipped.
I actually paused and I’m now about to comment which one ....... the third one sounds like the best . But I’m going for the cheap Neewer lol
@@michaznak2097 Thank you for your suggestions, I will keep it in mind for my future videos.
Are you able to use the full track length on your Edelkrone on a push in or pull out with a wide angle lens without catching the track in frame?
That’s a good question. Im going to guess wide like 16 mm full frame you’ll probably see it towards the end. 24 mm might not be visible the whole way. I’ll test it later this evening when I have access to my equipment
@@TymekStolarz thanks so much - was looking at this for real estate application - vs Zeapon or waiting for the Slypod Pro with 22" travel and camera sitting on end of track, with no possibility of screen blocking....
Hey there sorry about the super late reply.
So I tested it out and this is what I found:
If you are using something like the Edelrkone flex tilt head that keeps your camera really low to the slider.
I went to B&H to check it out the GVM Reviews and When a review starts with
” poor quality don't bother”
it makes you wonder. After I read the other 2 my mind is made up. It’s going to cost a bit more then I expected but I feel the investment to get started with good quality EQ is essential. Will be reviewing the rest of the videos on your channel. Keep up the good work really appreciate the information I’ve learned so far. Ciao
I think you are making the right choice!
Thanks a lot, i appreciate the support and encouragement :) i hope you have a really great day.
Very interesting. I will definitely have to look into it. Over all i am happy with Edelkrone, but i often have to add stabilization if using pan and slide. Although I am finding i wish i had an additional axis. Something like the JibOne. i cant seem to find a lot of other companies offering motorized cranes.
I think you got Zeapon
So close! I would like to get my hands on one. I think the support attachments for the tripod are ra really good idea. I just wish they had more motion control systems. Thanks for the comment :)
I think they're all too expensive for what they are. Especially in the day and age of cheap Arduinos and/or Raspberry PIs.
I would agree that they are pricy. But comparing them to professional camera robots (like Kira from Motorized Precision) it's nice that theres something available at the consumer level. Would love to have access to a Kira though lol.
Get a better job. If you are not making money from your work then don't buy it.
Fyp!
I think that’s the wrong platform, but thank you for commenting and increasing user interactive! Thanks :)
You can't make videos like this when you don't actually use any of the productsm you're just talking about amazon listings this is bad content imo
this is the worst experience i've ever had.they can't help you.they make broken alts in a short time and they won't help. they waste your money. zeapon
Im sorry to hear that :( from what i saw online, people generally seemed to be happy with the Zeapon sliders. which one do you have?
why you keep leaving comment everywhere but don't reply when we are trying to help?
Now that was a quick response haha. im not even sure how you were able to find this comment thread so quick.
@@TymekStolarz sorry for the disturbing, he's commenting almost every video 😭
No problem, best of luck to the both of you, hopefully the problems can be solved.

Thanks for nothing
I am sorry to hear that :(
