I'm in Istanbul right now. The other day I took the ferry boat to the Asia side. After I got off of the boat I was walking and some guy was running after me grabbing me on the shoulder. I thought he was trying to sell me something. So I just kept walking then he said Police and showed me he was a cop. He asked to see my Passport for some unknown reason. As soon as I should it to him , he walked off.

@@fatmasedef7604 Another thing I had happen was. Two times today I handed the taxi driver the money and started to get out of the car and he shoved one note up his sleeve. And tried to say I didn’t pay him the right amount. They also try to switch the notes for smaller ones and say you didn’t pay me enough.

@@1970chevelle396 Sorry to hear that stories! Look Turkish Lira goes down day by day and Covid effect drivers most. I know these are can't be reason for that kind of behaviours for sure but why i say that; people are hungry for money so delete all the ethics! Please before take a taxi ask about route and estimate price and tell driver to reset taximeter! And check it yourself! Before get off taxi check price on taximeter, no ask! And please carry 20,10,5 liras. Don't give huge amounts. If you want to exchange your money choose banks they exchange too! Anywhere of Turkey just go to a Bank no exchange office! Remind banks ask passport before change! If you think you are in a strange position please call police or tell you are calling police! Never check polis line but i guess they have English line too! In crowded places like Kadikoy, Taksim polices check around without uniform! Take care!

Further north around Izmir was the epicenter. I'm sure they felt it in this area but not sure about damage. This was filmed before the quake.

Where are your emotions man? You went through heart and soul of the world (The Balkan) where people are all about emotions, hart, honor and love and yet you fail to show your feelings, to show us real contact of the "third kind". I mean come on man, you can't just walk through places!
