The whole country of Turkey is such a mystical place with so much history yet to be discovered. From ancient civilizations to biblical sites and events, to an arrayed of mix cultures that take you all the way back to Noah and beyond. Just Amazing!!! Definitely a bucket list!!!! Thanks Gabe and stay safe❤🇺🇸

I think the acoustics rebounding off those walls in those cave 'apartments' would drive each other up the wall after a while :D Great video by the way.

Thoroughly enjoying your videos. 👍🏻😎🇨🇦
If the bible is taken as an historical record, Cappadocia is mentioned specifically by Peter. Not much detail, but he mentions the "strangers" in several places, of which Cappadocia is one. We can assume that Peter was possibly walking through those same paths, and creating gatherings to tell them about Christianity. He was on his way to Rome around 30-40 AD, by way of Corinth, and probably passed by that area along the way.
@@joanlynch5271 Paul (according to biblical record) was from a place called Tarsus - which is also in present day Turkey somewhere between Mersin and Adana. It's about 240km south of Cappadocia.

Helike Hotel has a live cam Gabe. There were lots of balloons this morning (11/15/20), they float right down in those huge crevasses and disappear from view. I read that it's called Pigeon Valley because pigeons seemed to have fertilized the farms so the farmers make homes for more pigeons to live in the chimneys. Now with that being said and seeing inside one finally, I'm thinking that those dug out places in the walls were for all those pigeons.
I'm sure just one of those dwellings had your name stamped on it.... What a place to call home....past and present.....a true escape from it all sanctuary....
So much better than anything currently on TV. At least that's my assumption - haven't watched TV in a while. All natural, unscripted reactions to what you were seeing - so cool. I'll bet 99.9% of the tourists who visit Cappadocia see about 1/100th of what you've seen. It's great when the beauty & awe of a place is matched by the explorer showing it on film. 11 out of 10 on this one. Btw, next time you return here, maybe you'll be staying for free in some of those caves ... with a good air mattress. Looks so dry though - getting to a nearby water source had to have been a challenge.
It's definitely my aspiration to spend a night in one of those caves, along with some candles. That would be a seriously unique experience. I'll plan to go back sometime and go for it.
That last one looked like maybe "royalty" dwelling. You were able to view over the whole land of caves! Very, very awesome. I wonder what/how the bathroom was utilized if there was a designated room/area. How were all these cave dwellers able to obtain water for so many people. I would really like to learn more about these people who lived their whole life here.
Mr Gabriel.. I love your vlog. And always following you whenever you upload the video.I don't want and never skip the advertising to help you explore more place. May i know what camera do you use and mic do you use during you explore?. Thank you sir

They had to have been raising birds there. For meat, feathers, ceremonies, and fertilizer. Maybe black powder as well. I think it was a town dedicated to raising birds. Like the rock dove.
I still don't see how large numbers of people could live there permanently. There's very little firewood available. They could use cow dung but there's not enough grass to sustain a herd of cattle. Where did they get food from? No rivers for fish, very poor soil for growing crops or fruit trees. And no fresh water source other than rainwater. Not much use a place of safety if there are no available natural resources. You'd have to be desperate to eek out a living there. Unless perhaps they relied upon birds and bird eggs to survive.
Mate, here we are talking about the period of 4000 years ago...vegetation, animals, people, customs were on a different scales than today...use your imagination ! Cheers

Gabriel appeared to be at the peak of his happiness while exploring these caves 🙂
I found this area so fascinating when I did this in 2018, well worth the hike! Nice to just sit back and watch your video on it.
Cappadocia is back! This place is truly unreal. Surely one of the places on my list to visit! I can't want to make vlogs there!

Maybe they had sound ordinances!

I was really pleased that you were so inquisitive & persisting in exploring the cases inside & all around - thank you very much, so interesting

Very interesting video with full of suspense about the people who lived in these rocky hill houses and the whole video looked like a thriller movie
This would be a great place to shoot a movie!
There are no more movies

Based on your reactions here, this must be one of your favourite areas, can really feel your excitement at being in this environment (and rightly so).

The niches are on the outside, and that its called Pidgeon valley, is a pointer that they are being used as a dovecote.
Why are there no more pigeons these days?
Gabriel, those sandals serve you well✌️. Thank you for these epic videos.

this must have been like luxury back then cuz it's possible to live in it now. you have holes where u can put your stuff, great shelter, ect. amazing

You should invest in a backpack drone for places like this. So you can investigate everything from one area and see it all.

Next time you are back in the US check out Tent Rocks Near Santa Fe. Very similar area.
How far is the distance between the two towns (as you mentioned driving to the second town prior)?
Seemed like 2-3 kilometers to walk there. Driving to Uchisar is a different route but only takes a few minutes.
17:50 Dungeons & Dragons. An Orc pops out to confront you. You use your magic smart tablet of infinity to summon an Uber.
Hello
They had to have been raising birds there. For meat, feathers, ceremonies, and fertilizer. Maybe black powder as well. I think it was a town dedicated to raising birds. Like the rock dove.
Yes, apparently that's what all the little shelves in the rocks were for, pigeons.
Seems to be an exterrestrial location! Similar place but of course not that huge is the Bandslier National Monument in New Mexico! 🤗👍
What if you got lost there? You'd be wandering for days.
The holes were used for pigeon nests.
Hi Gabriel, I'm pretty sure the small carved out shelves were for chickens., they used to harvest the eggs.

Those niches are for birds.as in dovecot

All great questions. There are answers but the answers might be hidden. Somehow they apparently survived.
Do you understand that some hundreads or thousands of years ago the climet has been different, and the environment has been lush agricultural area.
