I’m wondering about moving to Turkey. I’ve heard a few different things. Do you have any input about getting residency? I read first that you can get residency if you buy a house (the price changed in March) to either 70 or 75thousand. Someone else said I only had to have a one year apartment rental paid upfront. But then I heard you had to also have passive income or a job. Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
Hello, thank you so much for watching my video. I really appreciate it. My husband is Turkish and so I was able to get residency through their family residency permit. However, there are many different options for obtaining residency in Turkey and each type of residency permit has its own set of requirements. Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with these requirements, but I would point you in the direction of the Turkish immigration department's (called GÖÇ in Turkish) official website. Here, they breakdown the type of residencies available and some information regarding each one. Sorry I am not of more help on this, but hopefully this is a good starting point... en.goc.gov.tr/residence-permit-types
