It's coming together nicely guys. I look forward to seeing how the new mods affect your driveway time slip. 15 years ago or so when me and my buddies were putting mini bikes together one of them used a race slick on the rear. It was flat and boxy but he just wanted it for launches and it seemed to help. It was an extremely soft compound. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Anyway, great job guys and I always enjoy watching the fun you guys have with all of this.

Which do you think would win in a drag race: the drag bike, the 670, or the AWD kart?

I like the porting tip. The pause to puddle is vacuum meeting heat. As you learn one engine, it is a small distance behind the valve, all else can be super smooth.

Been loving everything you guys put out! If I could recommend... find a set of re-popped Schwinn Stingray Crate sissy bars for the top tubes of the wheelie bar. It will give you some spring when the wheelie bar "plants" and will prevent the rear wheel from bouncing up on launch. Also, if you plan on spending some "hang time" on the wheelie bar, use the whole rear skateboard truck and wheels and you can actually steer it with a little "body english" with the front wheel in the air.

Yeah what you have is nice. Wow that price is amazing! Our engine and frame were free but but we spent close to that on a clutch, chain, and a new rear tire. Never found the top speed, ~50 mph on a mini bike gets sketchy.

I ride BMX, and we use air compressors to put on handlebar grips. It usually works better than Windex, because there is never any lubrication between the bars and the grip. Rubbing alcohol sounds like a good idea too.

You can put clay on the valve and turn it over a couple of times and then measure how close it is with some calipers.
.0050 won't be too much. I took .0085 off of my Chines clone and it still has room to go more but since yours is a hemi it could interfere differently than mine. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

A thought I had on a wider rear tire - maybe if instead of one wide tire there was 2 smaller slicks on the same rear axle and the chain + sprocket went inbetween them? That would probably still require frame mods but maybe it wouldn't require as much engine relocation.
Even if that's not the most practical solution it'd be interesting at least.
