I always switch to whatever is needed. If no one wants to heal: I got this. No tank? Don’t worry about it I have a high Roadhog hook accuracy. I get that people like to play what they’re good at, I do too, but I hate when everyone refuses to switch to what we need.
You're a hero. Take solace in that.
Roadhog is not a defense tank. It does not protect or full that lack of tank in the team. Even though, it's nice for you to do this.

I did that when I was first picking up Ana - one of the best feelings I've ever had in game
I main Reinhardt, and whenever I play I put up my barrier and I'm like "Okay, guys, I'll protect you from getting damage while you analyze the playing field or try to get some shots in from behind my shield." And they just run right past me, guns blazing, and I'm like "Wait, guys, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" A minute later, my whole team's dead and I died because a certain Tracer blinked behind my shield and shot me in the back.

relatable... im rein/ana main and its barely noticable when you are getting healed by ana and all my teammates just run away to a health pack and waste time, getting out of line of sight to just die.
Flyx Alm Winston is generally about diving afaik, but if your team don't utilize your shield when given the opportunity, then they're clearly doing it wrong.

Not at all, you're making the necessary but selfless sacrifice to show to your beloved opponents if their teammates are the kind that save other or don't bother. Nothing feels better than being frozen but seeing the mei get killed right before she right clic in your face right? Without mei, you couldn't feel that. And then, you feel blessed by all those your wonderful teammates that are always here to save your ass. Or cursed for the lack of support, but at least now you know. Mei players are the most kind hearted players out there! Sort of.

Mercy isn't really POTG material anymore but not quite a thankless job either. Honestly, I only became a mercy main out of necessity (ie. People in solo queue very rarely volunteer themselves to be healers) but the constant Top 4s I get after every match regardless of wether we win or lose as well as the stream of endorsements I regularly receive REALLY made me feel like I contribute so much more to the team effort as Mercy than any of the other heroes I occasionally play as.

It's SOOO satisfying when you get a triple kill by hiding above a team using death blossom- I'm a reaper main too
What is more satisfying is pulling Death Blossom at almost whole enemy team, getting so much hp from life drain that even reflecting Genji can't kill you. And then finish off remaining tank who tries to protect the payload from your team.

Low skill floor. Extremely high skill ceiling. Area denial, calculating and recalculating the angle of shots so that you hit people while enemy team is outside your line of sight. Knowing every single flank route the enemy can take and having it trapped accordingly. Knowing when to play it safe or to kamikaze the enemy team.

Veeeeeery true. As a Rein main, it takes so much to get your team to GET BEHIND THE FREAKING SHIELD! Though, I do get a kick out of dps players blaming me for their 5 deaths and then shoving my "12,000 damage blocked" endcard in their face and saying "this could've been you." (You'd be surprised how many times I've actually done that)

Kirby isawesome I understand what you are saying but soldier is also one of the few dps that basically stick with the team for the whole match, and so he generally doesnt get 'personal' glory from potg because the rest of the team is normally helping

Guys I saw exactly one Mercy PotG in eight months. I've been counting. But for me that's okay. I'm not in it for the PotG or the glory. I just enjoy doing what I do. Healing teammates is my thing, not killing enemies.

Yeah, lots of people have Reinhardt in their top five purely for the sake of protecting their team and play him very defensively with as much shield uptime as possible, but someone who's a Reinhardt main by choice will probably play him more offensively and for them I'd move him to the glory hound section with D.Va, Torbjörn, and Reaper.

I'm a doomfist main, and I have to say learning Doomfist, even in the beginning, to start playing, is a pain in the ass; I hop into casual and there's a locked doomfist and they end the game with 0 eliminations... like, Doomfist is hard to keep alive and play right, but still

Actually, when that tank saves my life- if I'm caught in a trap and I get a bubble or matrix placed over me, if course I say thank you, because chances are that person just saved my life. If you bring someone back from low HP, chances are you saved their life. It would be nice if once in a while I'd get a thank you for that.

I hide behind Rein shields. Especially with Deadeye.
U seem to dislike mercy, which I don’t appreciate too much because mercy is a character that does really help the team and is suffering the most when the team picks are bad. If u ask other mercy mains they will tell ya the same.

Dametrius OG I am a Mercy main and I play with an even balance of healing and battle mercy. I’m not going to ignore my teammates on critical to chase a kill; but if all of my teammates are full health, I’m gonna have some fun with the gun I’m given. Healing 24/7 gets a bit boring after a while. Besides, it makes the enemy super mad when they’re taken down by a Mercy.

I usually get more damage gold medals than kill gold medals . But I usually get gold both. Damage is basically sombra job. Hack the health pack, place teleporter, go invis and get some great damage off of any person you can see and keep an eye on that health.
Sombra's main job isn't to deal a high amount of damage though. Harass the backline, finish off low health targets, disrupt abilities and farm slow squishies like Zen, Snipers, Mercy (when hacked ofc).

But whenever possible I insta-lock D.Va. People usually don't complain anyway; Tanks are almost ALWAYS needed in a Team-Comp, and we'll still have 3 DPS anyway.

Symmetra, McCree, genji and pharah really seem out of place in their categories as an example... Plus seeing genji as a payload player or symmetra as a "healer" is weird...
Golden Pleb although genji isnt a payload player he is great at contesting for a long time which is what he said.
That was all I could think when he was playing Orisa and put the charger on the payload.
He hasn't said he hates any characters and I don't see anything biased towards any character. Every character is able to somewhat fit in with their designated section. Could you state a section you find "super biased".

I'm a Lucio main; it can be fun to stall a point, sure, but the best thing about Lucio (arguably better than booping someone into the abyss) is your main job right now, which is speed boosting your slow ass Reinhardt and Zarya into an engagement, amping heals mid-fight, then speed boosting to get stagger kills after your team has won the fight. Then time your ult perfectly to prevent kills from the dragon grav and you basically win the fight yourself.
Also this needs an update video pretty bad.

I'm a Reinhardt main and I am so underappreciated. The enemy bastion has been turret camping a choke point. I charge him off the map and get no thanks. I hold overtime for 5 minutes. Nothing. I blocked 1000 damage and spent 4 minutes on the objective. "Play mercy next time". We're a rare, unappreciated breed
