Hello sir, it is my honour to watch your lecture which is full of wisdom and knowledge. I am a 1st year graduate student and pursuing physics your lectures helps us a lot. thank you sir from all of us
Hello Walter Lewin Sir I am a huge fan of Your physics Lectures ,being an Indian I am also a follower of alakh pandey sir and HC VERMA SIR.I,ve got a problem with my school's physics that teachers make student to memorize the formula and solutions I am overwhelmed but after watching your lecture I solved each and every problem THANK YOU Sir May you live long.
Infinite heartiest congratulations and best wishes to you on your birthday Sir. May you always remain healthy and energetic, this is our best wish for you. The new generation will always be indebted to you for your guidance in the world of science. You are a shining star in the sky of science. We will always be grateful to you for your contribution in the field of science.🎉🎉🎉❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Dear Lewin Sir, Thanks a lot for the teaching. I learned so much from your lectures and hope to implement it in creating something useful for mankind. I wish you good health and happiness always.
Hello sir, I love your videos and I follow you for some time now because of my love for physics and Science, I would really to like learn about physics but I don't know where to start and how to do it. It would be really appreciated if you make a video on that.
Hello sir, I have been watching your lectures from 8.01 and 8.02 for a while now. I went from a guy who almost always failed in physics and genuinely hated physics. It was also my motto, "I can never hate anything more than physics", but ever since I stumbled on your lectures , I have been doing great . I finally understand concepts and have been intrigued by many concepts. I no longer see physics a long list of formulas to be mugged up, but as a real intriguing and interesting field. Now I can even solve complex problems form mechanics and electrodynamics above my grade, all thanks to you. just one last thing, I have recently been having some problems in modern physics and dual nature of radiation and matter. I would be grateful if you could suggest what I should do to overcome his problem. you have been always a pleasure to learn from and I hope I could continue learning from you.
Dear Professor Lewin, I'm currently watching your 8.01x Classical Mechanics lectures on your youtube channel and am thoroughly enjoying them. Your enthusiasm for physics is truly inspiring! I'm from India and am currently in grade 10. I have a great interest in physics. I like to learn physics. I like how you concentrate more on making the student know the physics that works around them instead of just trying to tell them the formula and make them do problems, which is what a lot of the teachers here do. I noticed some books or notes that you reference during your lectures. Could you please tell me the name of the book and if it's your notes could you please let me know where I can get the PDF. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, N.L.Karthikeya

Hello im medical student at turkey. İm gonna be md in 1.5 year. I wanted to be a physicist since my childhood. But life is changing. Not like you and your videos. I have very good memories from the period when I was doing physics. I want you to know that you contributed to these. Thanks levin!
I have immense respect for you and regard you as a true legend. Your contributions to physics and to inspiring youth are remarkable. It would be a great blessing to embrace Islam, as it offers a path to paradise. For those who were unaware of Islam in their lifetime, their deeds may be forgiven, accepting Islam would ensure eternal peace and blessings. I hope we may meet in the hereafter, InshaAllah.

i really wish he is bestowed with good health....the consistent energy he has kept throughout the years, so happy to be born in the era where we get to see people like him change the perception of physics...much love sir!
Many many returns to the day Mrs. Lewin ❤ sir your videos have always inspired me and made me fall in love with physics … sir I’m currently in ninth grade and day after tomorrow is my test .. sir there is a question that’s been troubling me an answer for which my physics teacher and other guiders have different answers . The question states that a girl is carrying a block of weight W1 in her left hand and a bucket of water ( not filled to brim ) of weight W2 in her right hand, the girl drops the block into the bucket of water, how much weight does she carry now ? Sir based on what I’ve studied I suppose since the water exerts a buoyant force on the block the block as a reaction force following Newton’s third law will also apply a buoyant force to the bucket of water and hence the final weight will be W2 + Force of Buoyancy. According to my teacher the object will exert a force of buoyancy on the liquid but the net force downward will be W2 + Force of buoyancy + the apparent weight of the object so the final weight will be W2 + Fb + ( W1 - Fb ) which will yield W2+ W1. According to my other teachers it should be W2 + ( W1 - Fb ) as the object will not apply any reaction force. Sir I am very confused with this question please express your views on this. Thank you very much sir and a very heartiest happy birthday !
after she drops W1 in the bucket of watter she will carry a weight W1 + W2. Make a free-body diagram. Place the girl on a scale. Befoer she drops W1 in the bucket of water the scale will indicate W1 + W2 + weight of girl. After she drops W1 in the bucket of water, the bathroom scale will still indicate W1 + W2 + weight of girl.
Sir today was my test in which a similar question came that an object weighing 20N was immersed in a bucket of water weighing 40N … when fully immersed the apparent weight of the object is 44N find the total weight when the object is dropped in the bucket of water and is checked on a weighing machine .. sir I marked 60N as the answer but it got wrong and the actual answer is 44N sir can you explain why so
I am a jee student and sI believe because of you i started studying physics you made it simple for us I will definitely follow yiur pathway sir and happy birthday miss lewins you're the luckiest woman maam❤

Sir, you are literally the **GOD OF PHYSICS**. Every physics student should worship your idol and keep your photo as a lucky charm to improve their understanding of physics. Thank you so much for your inspiring efforts in teaching physics. But sir, I want to know: Do you think any research from IIT could ever win a Nobel Prize, or is it destined for IITs to remain mediocre, or tier 3, in comparison to prestigious Western institutes like MIT, Stanford, or Oxford? Please share your thoughts on the cold war between IITs and Western technological institutes that often plays out in the comment section of your channel. We often see many memes about your savage replies to those IIT worshipers who believe they are taught better at IITs than at these great Western institutions.
Sir if you closely interpret my comment, it asks you about how in India they teach science or the methodological difference between teaching science in India and western countries, or and what are the qualities of established "Scientific Discipline" in Western and Indian scientific community to approch, understand and learn science, i hope you understand me...

Sir , how heat is produced between two surfaces by rubbing with eachother and how it is converted into flame while rubbing. How a substance can absorb and hold heat energy?
@@lecturesbywalterlewin.they9259 thanks sir. I just wanna tell you that since I started using your advice of eating yogurt everyday but not on fridays has helped me alot in my studies.
