      Really good review, has a really nice style, laid back. Nice bike too, currently on the look out for a 650, love cafe racers, but don't want the sore back and wrists that go with them, this looks like a nice riding position, a nice compromise

    I have a CB300F. Just finished 2 days on a rental CB650R on the mountain roads around Chiang Mai, Thailand. I love this bike. The sound, the power, the confidence in handling and braking. I want to try a CB1000R before I buy a 650, but I can't imagine it's so much better that the price difference is worth it (I do like the looks of the 1000). Pinning this thing near redline in 3rd gear is near to perfection... Not sure I'd want to go faster than that.

    • @Silent_Sounds
      @Silent_Sounds ปีที่แล้ว

      two year old comment but I want to add that I have a CB500F. It's my first bike and it's plenty powerful for my daily commuting needs but it's still so much fun to take out for a joyride. It's a little heavy for me but nothing terrible. Overall, I've really enjoyed it so far. Haven't had the opportunity to really push it to its limits yet, waiting to maybe do a track day in the future when I have better gear and upgrade my helmet.

    • @phreenom
      @phreenom ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Silent_Sounds That's a good bike to start with, and will give you a very strong foundation for any future bikes. I've since moved up to some very powerful bikes. A Husqvarna FE501s, a Ducati Monster 1200s, and a new Ducati DesertX. The advanced engineering, performance, and power of these bikes are addicting. I won't be able to go back to the less advanced and less powerful bikes now, and riding something with top-shelf suspension like the Ohlins on the Monster is a revelation...

      First bike: GN250 or any old shitter up to a 400 to learn on, learn to service, probably fall over a couple of times, for your first couple of years or 30,000 miles whichever comes first. Try out a few different rides. Get into rider training and get your riding gear sorted, none of it apart from a quality lid, has to be new, posh, expensive - it just has to function in all weather for your first year or so. If ya survive, then sure, go tick up a flash new bike and some mint kit to go with it.

    • @Fadic4
      @Fadic4 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Edward Tupper not getting it new. Getting it used. Already did my MSF course and will be doing it again before getting the bike. will most likely be riding 2-3 days a week just as a hobby not as my main method of commuting. Won’t be riding around in rush hour or any time there is a lot of traffic just to minimize risk with idiots on the road.
      I live in In east side of the United States so I’ll ride 3-4 months max a year if I’m lucky, waiting to hit 30k miles in the conditions I’ll be riding in will probably take 15 years lol.

    Duke 250 or CBR 250 ?

    Test rode this bike and found it very 'vanilla'. Neither great, nor terrible. Very 'meh' to be honest. Shame, as it looks nice, but found my throttle hand fingers ended up getting numb. Had more fun test riding the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 and the KTM Duke 790 - also found the Kawasaki Z650 dull.

    Damn, 200kg is a bit too much when compared to a CBR600rr (155kg) even an older one with all the adjustable suspension and steering damper. I'd rather make a street fighter with one of those than pay a premium for a "homage" plastic version of it.

    • @tuor75100

    Hello, im going to start my classes for the motorcycle permit shortly and I have been looking in many videos and forums about different bikes and this one is the one I like the most.
    The thing is that im taller than the average person, im 1.90cm, and I have read people saying its ok for someone my size and other people saying its going to be a little bit small for me.
    Do you guys think I will be comfortable riding it? Is there someone that has the same height as me (or similar) that owns the bike or has driven it? Could you give me some feedback?
    Thank you very much!

    Bike looks good but still way way way way way overpriced. Same money will basically get you the next class up of nakeds from others (MT-09, Z900, GSX-S750)... and its real competitors are like $1500-2000 cheaper. I guess if people are willing to pay what Honda is charging more power to them but I would not.

    • @dsofe4879
      @dsofe4879 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't speak for others, but I personally ended up getting a CB650 over the MT09 because it's got way better build quality, better suspension (despite being non-adjustable) and IMO a much better design. I get what you mean regarding power and displacement, but the Honda doesn't feel like a bad deal at all once you swing a leg over it.
