Well, I just started being interested in bikes, so please don't kill me, but I like the more classy look of the CB, it looks less bossy but The CBR is awesome too. Honda for life
As you experiment more, you will find your body will have a preference for a bike type vs your preference in a bike. I like classic styling but sports bikes make me feel more in control.

Me too, I liked the naked one. This would be my future dream bike. I love the looks of it and the build quality is very nice. I always dream of owning inline 4s middleweight so this could be it.
No-one ever talks about how much fun a sportsbike is to ride, compared to a naked. The wind protection and aerodynamics of a sportsbike make up for being blown around by the wind of a naked. IMO a sports is more comfortable than a naked, even though it's a more aggressive seating position. Pity Yamaha haven't developed a sport version of their MT07 (aussie LAMS). CBR650R might be my next bike!
It's crazy how tastes change. Just a few years ago not only would I have said the super sport looks better but that the naked bike was ugly. Now, I'm in love with that naked bike!

The Cbr650r is imo one of the best looking bikes ever made. I never liked the way Honda Bikes looked previously. It's a shame we here in Australia are only getting the 35kw learner approved version of it here, 😥 At least that's what I heard. I absolutely dislike the 2018 CBR600RR's styling (I just can't stand the front end's look), hopefully we will get a new model eventually that looks more like the 650r...
still sounds good with then exhaust ;) also, pre sure you can flash tune? i heard it gets detuned just to fit the aus law?
is there no way you can ride a bike without that restriction over there ? I'm thinking to move to Australia one day, it's like my dream country to live in, but I do hope I won't be stuck with learner bike power on a 650. There must be a way to ride the bikes to their full potential, isn't it ?

cbr650rとcb650r、どちらも日本の道に合った良いバイクです。
日本の免許制度の関係上、大型自動二輪初心者がリッターバイクへ乗りたがる傾向がありますがCbr650r&cb650rは、その性能と取り回しの良さで中堅〜ベテランライダーが乗っている人が多いです。
ちなみに日本の免許制度は401cc〜無制限が大型、126〜400ccまでが普通、51〜125ccまでが小型二輪と分かれております。

I have wondered which bike for so long and cant still decide lmao, the cbr650 is better looking but cb650 is very practical
We need a comparison of the old 2006 Honda CB600F Hornet to the new CB650R, the bike is 13 years younger and is down 2.5 HP has identical torque numbers and weighs the exact same wet. The only thing that sets them apart is slightly larger brakes and fuel injection.

Situation had changed. On 2018 sport bike was more nice - short exhaust, hole under seat by side view, installation of front brake discs. But on 2019 naked is the winner. No more comment.

@ 202kg The CB650R is slightly heavier than Triumph’s new Speed Twin, which surprised me; but the Honda is more that £3,000 cheaper which makes it attractive if you want a bike to have blast on fine days. It’s good to see attractive modern bikes. Perhaps there are enough retro bikes on the market now. I might miss having a centre stand for maintenance and cleaning.
can't that be added as a mod ? anyway, with a paddock stand you can do all that, except you'd always have to do it at home, still not bad

I heard that, riding in the sunlight, glare on the LCD display is an issue on the naked version. From the videos, it doesn't seem to be an issue on the faired version, as the display is surrounded by the fairing and windscreen, blocking some of the glare.
Or maybe a good flyscreen on the naked version would solve this problem.
I have also heard a matte screen protector helps.

I think that the CB riding position is more comfortable but another hand I like to have firing, so on road speeds, it guides air rather past you.
Nice Short Intro, Thanks, I liked so much CB 650R Because of i wanted to ride every day and mostly on Long Rides with pillion comfort because i always got Family Member or Friend with me for ride.
Is pillion sits comfortably on CB650R seat for long rides? really?
I like super sport bikes big time, but i wouldn't pay additional cash for the CBR650R just because it looks more sporty. It's the same engine and on top of everything the CB650R looks really cool without those plastics on the side.
To me super sport bikes should be a bit crazier than a 93-94HP.... If i have to choose between CB650R and a super sport, i would go with a CBR600RR...
Finally I choose the ktm 790 duke, but anyway answer to Honda is always yes

Naked is 95hp/64nm and the other is 98hp/65nm and top speed is 223kmh for the naked and the other is 230kmh

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a simple review of a naked bike? Every other video is some teenager trying to turn a cheaper FZ into an R6 but yes, I would enjoy a stroll through the mountains with a CB. A very fast stroll, of course.
You were wrong about the power output. The new cbr650r and cb650r have the same power output but they have 5% more power than the previous cb650F.

Considering the CB650R as my first bike as a beginner rider, thoughts?
1) It's a little big and too early for a beginner rider, but 650cc is safer (I would say slower but has a nice torque) than 600cc. So just be careful with it
2) You should reconsider again for the Raider AIDS or the ergonomics, try to compare with the competitor bike (such as z650, mt07, trident 660)
It is interesting for certain. But it is about $1500 more than the other "650's" in it's class if you talk the SV650, z650, and MT07. I guess if you want to compare it to the Suzuki GSX S750 if falls into that category (not talking about styling). I do like the looks and the fact that it has an inline 4. But a bit too pricey.
Loved my 96" 4 cylinder Bandit 600. Only Honda, out of the big 4 japanese dealers, puts out a middleweight inline 4 in the 600-700cc range unfortunately. All the rest are two cylinders.
Honda's just feel so well made and clean to me. I drive a sports car but when I drive a 160hp recent model Honda Civic with a manual transmission you can't deny the feeling it's well made.

I wish Honda would do what Triumph did with the Thruxton and release a naked 650 with a handle bar/bikini fairing or optional weather/wind protection.
They won't do it cos they are deaf to customers, naked is too naked,they could have make it like Suzuki gsx 750, little bikini like you said,sam with my z900 unlike z800 with bikinis,better choice is suzi 750 n pricing here is almost same

For those people who are below 40 years old, they will go with CBR..above 40 they will go with CB...is just that simple..above 40s your looking for riding enjoyment, below 40, your looking for thrills and fun of cornering. For those who have wife and she knows that you have a terrible bike accident before..you could only have a small engine bike bellow 300cc 😑

I’ve seen the Cb650r at the dealers last week and what struck me is how small the seat was.. I can’t imagine that bike being comfortabele for more than an hour riding.. I’m 6” tall and have issues on a 2004 z750 wich has a larger seat I can move back on a bit.
its not the size of the seat that matters, its how much of a cushion it provides to your butt that matters

They ruined the cbr650 simply by making it a much more sportier seating position. If I have to result to that position, I'm just going to get the new Lightning motorcycle being announced next month...
So you had more fun on the sportier but you prefer the naked?! Not my way at all. IMO fun is all what riding is about, and if I'm looking for practicality I would only go for a car.
Not necessarly. Car can be unnecessarly slow and sluggish. I am an owner of the CB650 R Neo Cafe and, for my back is way better to ride it everyday, compared to the CBR. On a different note, look is something many people would say is a great component when choosing a bike (despite the fact that in my opinion they both look TOP);
Cb650f better deal.......and if top speed more on cbr because the sprockets are different

Então é melhor não pegar nenhuma até baixarem isso e pararem de palhaçada.
Why did it say 599cc if the cb600r is 649cc?
It doesn't supersport!!! I have bough brand new bike and after one week using I like sell the bike. One of the worst bike for the price in my life. My old gpz500 ride same but worth only 1/10 price of honda. Heavy bike, no power from the ground but if we use high revs needs petrol like 1000rr. In sports bike forks are more into the engine. In this bike they are more like cruiser. That means not the best in cornering. It could to be not bad bike if we buy only naked bike( no any expectation). Good breakes and gearbox. The best point of the bike is nice look. Welding of frame and some plastics like from cheap 125. Dunlop tyres are good if we have warm day. I'm Big fun of honda but come on Honda...shame of you :/
You will NOT notice the ram air effect between those. The R 650R has fairings, thus aerodynmicly more efficient. Also your riding position is more aerodynamic on that. Thats where the difference at speed comes from.
Just sold my Husky 701 Enduro and decided to go full on-road (70hp to 115max, preferably 4cylinders) but I still can't decide between the two, 6'2 (187cm) here, not even sure if I even should consider these types of bikes. I can't say how tall the reviewer in the video was but both bikes were too small for him and don't wanna look like a wanker in that way . Any suggestions, any help would be appreciated.
We almost in the same case! I'm 6ft (183cm) and I'm between this CB650R and the Aprilia Shiver 900. The Shiver is probably the best fitting motorcycle for us "tall" people and I like it (great sound, great lows, nice looking imo) but I'm completely in love with the Honda. I yet have to try them both and see which one I'll pick. I would say forget about how you are going to look like when riding these bikes and instead go out and test them. If you feel comfortable enough and you like the performance go ahead and buy it. I personally know a guy who is 6,4 ft and rides the CBR650R, he is comfortable and he enjoys it so, screw the rest.

You’ll probably be a little crunched up. But I wouldn’t say too terribly. Would have to go and test ride to make sure. I’m 5’5” and have been looking at the cbr650 for a new bike, at a 31.9 seat height, idk what to expect either. But rn I ride a 83 nighthawk that weighs more, with a 31.5 seat height so eh 🤷🏼♂️ fingers crossed

ironically both of these bikes look better than their more hardcore counterparts to me...cb650r looks better than cb1000r and cbr650r looks better than the 600rr
