Lathe: (amzn.to/3orYsOy) this Laguna lathe is freaking amazing, very well built, solid, strong, variable speed, 110 or 220 volt. I couldn't have designed it better. This Wen lathe was my first trusty starter lathe, great place to start this hobby: amzn.to/3aqIIGH
Lathe tools: (amzn.to/3agd3ay) carbide tip, (amzn.to/3t5iMsA) great beginner set
File Sander: (amzn.to/36o3hlE), this is the cheapest and highest quality I've found. Fantastic for those hard to get to sanding projects.
Carving tool: (amzn.to/2MjTd6x), Rotozips are awesome, a little too powerful for small detail but great for roughing out the medium sized projects.
Angle Grinder: (amzn.to/36lgewG), one of my most indispensable tools, (amzn.to/3iXtNHW) the flat head helps get into tight spaces, carving and sanding disks are a life saver.
Grinder Carving Disk: (amzn.to/39oWqKG), this is a really great disk for roughing out medium sized projects
Grinder Sanding Disks: (amzn.to/3cj91Rv), fantastic for sanding and minor-moderate shaping stages
Round Sanding System: (amzn.to/3r11N8Q) sleeves go around an inflatable ball (amzn.to/2KVCUvW )or make your own foam ball, attaches to a drill, great for tight corners.
Palm Sander: (amzn.to/3r1mJg8), the most important sanding tool, used on almost every job. I like the size of the sand paper for both this and on the lathe by hand.
Chain Saw: (amzn.to/2MbWNj2), has worked well for years, I also bought this electric one (amzn.to/3qZOqpp) for the quieter in the garage projects
Oscillating Tool: (amzn.to/3puK4q1) great for cutting and sanding sharp corners and tight spots.
Super Glue: (amzn.to/3pFg5vT) thin and runny, perfect for stabilizing bark or other unstable wood.

Hi Dan , A beautiful piece of artwork it must must of cost you an absolute fortune in ÇA glue. I’ve already watch this on another device last year, when it came to the music, I am 70 years young tomorrow male. and still struggling to come to terms with what’s has happened to me with my ex partner over the last few years.
I think music helps to get through things but sometimes they can bring sad memories back.
Over the years I have made And created pieces of art and as I was a specialist joiner come carpenter.
And over the past two or three years I have been trying to turn my basement into a workshop as I have lost mine back in the UK, I’m now living in France, keep up the great work for all those young people and keep producing amazing pieces of artwork you must be proud of what you do.

Nice job on the video and the art. That is real different. I do not do wood working but it was nice of you to share tips for others and how others have helped you. I do a little metal art with a CNC plasma cutter. I have not made money but learned a little along the way. 😀😀😀😀😀😀

Hi Dan! I’ve always been interested in woodworking and especially lathe work! But my expertise is metal fabrication so I followed that calling and thus my shop/ garage is full of that type of equipment!
So I basically sit back and enjoy through video’s other’s woodworking projects! Watching this video and seeing you had issues with the white “skin” of the birch bark I thought what if you sprayed the pieces of wood with a clear epoxy paint? Several coats might be enough to help prevent it from flaking off like it did! Keep up the good work! With your lathe and your helping the victims of trafficking!
