Apparently Bostick made 2 different kinds, maybe one is much older? The new barrels I bought don't fit in the old housing, which has a screw-on handle. Must look further. But if anyone buys new barrels, make sure they fit your model.
@minnesotamarine9861 makes sense honestly. And it's OK I just had an idea where you make one that's bigger with the same rule of mechanics and use the bigger one to make bedding and such out of just old sticks and limbs from your yard and what not.

the best I can do is "hardened steel". I don't know the exact makeup of the metal used, sorry.
