I just made my second batch today. Turned out PERFECT! I used an 8 Cup Pyrex measuring cup that made stirring and pouring into pan a breeze! I also used a sheet pan lined with a Silpat mat, then lightly coated in real salted butter. Came off of Silpat mat in one piece! No sticking whatsoever! Thank you so very much for sharing this incredibly easy and delicious candy recipe!
"YES!" THANK YOU! I tried to make " Peanut Brittle" years ago and it failed . I failed and said, "I would try again when I become brave enough to try it again". I'm ordering the ingredients today! HALLELUJAH! If I could do cartwheels like I used to do, I would do some now! Thank you! May God Bless You, Miss Tracie!
Wow, I just came across this thank you my mother made the best peanut brittle on earth every single Christmas and she made a lot last until Valentines. I had no clue you could do this in a microwave. I’m so excited to try.
I make brittle every year for friends , and never ever knew I could do it in the microwave . I tried it out wow it saved me so much time , thanks for the video and freeing up several minutes of my time .
Wow! This is the easiest recipe I've seen so far. It looks so good! I was going to get up and make some, but remembered I need to go to the store and purchase some corn syrup. Oh Tracie, you are such a good instructor. The recipes I see the cooks boil and mixture on top of the stove and stir and stir and stir. The microwave method is so much easier to me and for me. Wow! I'm so excited to try this recipe. Thanks for this video. I love peanut brittle. Now, when I want some, I can make my own. Thanks so very much Tracie.
I've seen it done with heating your sprayed cookie sheet in the oven at 200° for about 10 minutes before you pour your brittle on the sheet. It makes it spread easier.
Yummy!! Just made my first batch and it turned out delicious! I will never go back to standing there with my candy thermometer waiting for it to reach hard crack stage again. This was very easy to make. Thanks Tracie!
Hi Tracie, this is the easiest peanut brittle recipe I've ever seen, so I will definitely be making this for the holidays. Thank you so much. Looks yummy 😋
Good morning, I haven't had those since I was a little girl...I think I will try that for my daughter, son, and daughter-in-law. Tracie, you made it look so easy. TFS!!!!!
I have always wanted to learn to make peanut brittle. Your instructions are so easy to follow and precise. Thank you for that. I’m going to attempt this ASAP!! 🙏🏾🫶🏾
I have never made peanut brittle but now am Looking forward to it. I may put this on my farmers market table! Does it always need to be in a ziplock bag to keep it fresh? Trying to think of a cool way to box it up. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks for a great video! Btw I will also be freeze drying this; yummy!
Hi, Tracie. This recipe looks so delicious and easy, but mine came out gooey each time. I watched your video and I followed each step. Please tell me what you think I might be doing wrong.
I must have a high powered microwave, I just burnt mine up... I am waiting a few minutes and try this again.. when I checked it at 3mins. It was boiling good. And when I stared it at 3mins. The sugar on my spoon turned hard. So I'm gonna check mine every 30 secs. And will lyk...
I’m going to try this. You added 1tsp baking soda on the video, but your written recipe says 1/2 tsp. Which is it? Thank you so much for this recipe? 🙂
@@traciesplace Lol. You actually put 1 tsp in the written recipe within the video as well as stating 1 tsp while you were making it, but I was unsure when I saw the 1/2 in the description box. Anyway, I did make them tonight and used the 1 tsp. They came out great except that I think they got a little overcooked in the microwave. I did the initial 6 min. and an additional 2 min. after adding the butter and vanilla. But they had a hint of being about to burn, maybe?, and they were a little darker than I felt they should be. Next time I’ll cut down on the cook time maybe by 2 min. or so. But my husband liked them; he LOVES peanut brittle! I know this is a long comment, so thank you again for the recipe. I’ll get it straight, lol. Love your videos btw, and I am subscribed. 🙂 UPDATE: I made another batch, Tracie, and reduced the cooking time. Got it now! I had no idea you could make peanut brittle in the microwave! Thanks again. 🙂
It was already too set when you tried to spread it. If someone is going to do this alone they're going to have to move a lot faster. I can't do this alone because my hands are quite disabled. So I heat and stir and then my caregiver gets it out of the bowl very quickly and I spread about while she's pouring.
So confusing on minutes in the microwave. Everyone has a different wattage and it burns if you have a higher watt and does not cook long enough for a 900 watt. I wish the cooks on you tube would tell what wattage their oven is. It would be so helpful an I would not waste my ingredients.
FINALLY someone that knows that dry roasted peanuts are the ONLY way to go if you want good peanut brittle! Great job!
They really are. Every other kind are so greasy.
Thank you so much 😊

Pay attention to microwave wattage
Mine burn up!!

What is your KW on your microwave mine is 1650
Do I set it medium heat? Looks really yummy!!

Awesome so glad it turned out good for you!!! 🤗💗
I have candy boxes. I wouldn't send it out in a ziplock bag but I would use the Ziploc bags for home and to store.

Hi 🙋🏻♀️ Tracie
Will you try to make a microwave Toffee
❓⁉️👏🏽👏🏽😆
Hi Wendy! I will look into it but I’m not a Toffee lover, sorry about that 😊
I have never made peanut brittle but now am

Awesome! I’m thinking any tightly sealed container would do, ziplock Tupperware type containers from the Dollar Tree or a Mason Jar even? 🤗🙌🏽
@@traciesplace thanks so much! I never wanted to deal with the time to so brittle and your recipe has lit my fire. Thanks again😊
This looks so easy. I can't wait to try this. I don't have any corn syrup so I'll have to run to the store. Thanks for this video.
Awesome! I hope you’ll love it, you’re welcome 🤗💗💗🍃💗
I use lightly salted cocktail peanuts because dry roast have garlic and onion in them. :-)
👍🏽
Hello Tracie I love Peanut Brittle always enjoyed watching...😊
Thank you so much Sis!!! 🤗✨🙌🏽💗
Parchment paper is great for pan-lining. No stick or stickiness from butter or oil spray.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip 🙌🏽
I butter the pan really good then sprinkle salt over the butter. That way the brittle really has a sweet and salty flavor.
OOOOOHHHH!!! Wow! Thank you so much for that tip- I love sweet and salty so I will try! 🤗✨🙌🏽👏🏽✨
I love that Traci. You always have some great ideas and affordable.
Thank you so much Pamela! 🤗💗
They came out very nicely and I have always made it using a candy thermometer on the stove so this will be a lot easier for me. :-)
Hi, Tracie. This recipe looks so delicious and easy, but mine came out gooey each time. I watched your video and I followed each step. Please tell me what you think I might be doing wrong.
Hi Cynthia! Unfortunately without being able to watch, I couldn’t imagine what may have happened- I’m so sorry 😔
@@traciesplace I tried it a third time and I perfected it. Love this recipe!
Heyyy Traci
Can’t wait to try this
One of my favorite 😋😋😋🤗😘
Awesome! I hope you’ll enjoy it! 🤗💗✨
Hi, id love to try your peanut brittle. Just need to know the wattage of your microwave. Mine is 800 . Thanks ❤
I have a 1000 wattt microwave 👍🏽
Nicely Done!
Thank you so much!
Thank u Tracie ❤😊
So after the 6 minutes you add the vanilla and the butter and then return it to the microwave for 2 more minutes and then add the baking soda ??
Yes, that is correct 👍🏽
This recipe is 🔥🔥🔥
I wish I'd have found you 1st ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much! 🤗💗💗
Are those salted peanuts? Also, why can't you use the spatula to spread the brittle?
Roasted peanuts, I said you can’t use a spatula to spread?
I must have a high powered microwave, I just burnt mine up... I am waiting a few minutes and try this again.. when I checked it at 3mins. It was boiling good. And when I stared it at 3mins. The sugar on my spoon turned hard. So I'm gonna check mine every 30 secs. And will lyk...

Wow that is easy but will you just make me some 😊😋
Hey Loni!!! I wish I could, I’ll message you 🤗💗👍🏽✨
I think of Ma EVERYTIME I eat Brittle😢 I’ll have to try it. I’ll see if your recipe is similar to Mama VI’s. 😉👍🏽💕
Yesss, Mama loved her some Peanut Brittle! 🙌🏽 Okay! Let me know how it turns out for you! 🤗💗💗
Try non-stick aluminum foil and no pan to clean
Thank you! 🙌🏽
Yum
Thank you so much! 🤗✨
HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! HALLELUJAH! I just have to Comment again! THANK YOU!!! JESUS LOVES YOU!!!
Awww 🥰 thanks!
✋You at you sis, shut the side door !I never it was this easy to make these things wo.....w
I hope you try and like them!!! 🤗💗🙌🏽
Folks please use a measuring teaspoon or you're going to be able to taste the baking soda. :-) just an FYI.
👍🏽
Ive seen recipes that call for raw peanuts- is that necessary
Hi, unfortunately I’ve never tried the raw peanuts 🥜 so I can’t say- so sorry.
I’m going to try this. You added 1tsp baking soda on the video, but your written recipe says 1/2 tsp. Which is it? Thank you so much for this recipe? 🙂
It’s 1 teaspoon of baking soda- I’m so sorry, not 1/2 tsp- I called myself double checking too… 😳😞
@@traciesplace Lol. You actually put 1 tsp in the written recipe within the video as well as stating 1 tsp while you were making it, but I was unsure when I saw the 1/2 in the description box. UPDATE: I made another batch, Tracie, and reduced the cooking time. Got it now! I had no idea you could make peanut brittle in the microwave! Thanks again. 🙂
can you just double the recipe in the first bowl?
You could but comes out best - batch at a time 🙌🏽
I like to just tilt the pan and let gravity pull the brittle around.
🙌🏽
It was already too set when you tried to spread it. If someone is going to do this alone they're going to have to move a lot faster. I can't do this alone because my hands are quite disabled. So I heat and stir and then my caregiver gets it out of the bowl very quickly and I spread about while she's pouring.
That Pam for baking spray has flour in it and I'm not so sure I would like that.
👍🏽
My brittle completely burned by the time I did hte 6 and then 2 minutes in the microwave. :-(
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that… 😔
Your directions forgot to say 2 minutes microwave after butter 🧈 and vanilla
Thank you so much Wendy! Sorry about that 🤗

I unfortunately couldn’t find my microwave manual to tell you what wattage but most people here in the comments made it fine 🙌🏽
