Remember playing this game back in 2012 and thinking: "this has to be one of the greatest pieces of art in automotive games". Glad to know i was correct.
@@mateuszwawerla yep, have owned literally every installment in the motorsport and horizon series sense. mothing beats fm4 and it’s whole aesthetic will never be topped, from the “career” mode to the cars to the menu music and sounds
yes, when I first pla6ed a forza game, I loved the music, the colors, the track, and especially the cars. the sounds, the effects and graphics are crazy good
You can tell that heart and soul went into this game, a game for enthusiasts, made by enthusiasts. Even down to the teaser trailer, and the video that plays when you boot the game for the first time "Endangered Species" narrated by Jeremy Clarkson is incredible. FM4 was my childhood Forza, and I consider myself lucky that it was.
I’ve played so many racing games that I’ve lost count. FM4 and horizon 1 are the two that I’ve put in the most hours in, golden era for Forza. You did a real good job explaining why this game is special
The team that created Forza Motorsport 4 reminded me of the 1992 Olympic Basketball "Dream Team" members. There will never be another Forza as good as 4 because that team will never play together again.... but WoW what excitement they created when they did. As a Forza fan since #1, I must say.... Outstanding review, bro!!
People forget a lot of the time that it’s not just a company that makes games but actual people and teams. I think it has become more obvious nowadays with activision blizzard, dice, etc…
@@somevids4187 Exactly! Employees and consumers make a successful business - never the business alone. Many companies have lost sight of that long ago.
That game a was a grind!! I'd LOVE to have another go at it if it ever became backwards compatible. MY favorite FORZA game of all time. I Wish I could get into the horizons but just can't go for 100% completion on those.
The darkest day in my xbox gaming days..... when the motorsport 4 Servers came to a close.... I spent my last day playing TAG, and drifting as I'm sure we all did... met some great people, had some great times, and even picking it up now it feels fantastic, using manual with clutch for years on the controller to get used to it for drifting! 11/10 my favorite racing game ever!
this game will always have a place in my heart. what a groundbreaking video game. i remember calling my grandad in to check out the graphics on a 458 italia driving through the alps. he said it looked like real life and his jaw was wide open. i felt so happy that i impressed him with a game i was playing.
If you want to take it up a notch, show him Assetto Corsa or GT7 in VR. But yes FM4 still looks amazing even today. It can pass off as a game released today and looks better than Forza 8.
Fantastic video. I grew up on FM3 and FM4, and a lot of the points you touched on I never realized. FM4 in retrospect is so impressive. Also-the soundtrack... oh my. Best ambient soundtrack of any video game, ever. Ever. FM3 had a good one as well.
The Iberian circuit, Ladera test track, and the Monserrat track all connect together in the ultimate circuit. It’s such a little thing, but it adds so much depth
@@MeDicen_Rocha th-cam.com/video/G6KI9jeeYio/w-d-xo.html This track. Having not played it for a while i thought the “extreme circuit” was called the ultimate circuit lol
@@MeDicen_Rocha have u watched Enthusia Professional Racing Unseen? It is in my TH-cam channel. One clip featuring Coco Hayashi singing Like it Love it.
FM4 is the reason why I never finished FM3. I just got FM3 about 2 months before one of my uncles gave me a copy of FM4 for Christmas 2011. Sadly I lost that copy during a move in 2018 but I managed to find another for $3 from my local game store just a few months ago. It’s def a must buy.
While watching this I actually got a few goosebumps, it's so hard to believe that a game which came out 10 whole years ago can hold up this well. FM4 is still an incredible game to this day, I am still actively playing this game in 2021 and will definitely be actively playing in 2022. Amazing video man, videos like these deserve the views and the likes.
@IBZ I'm playing on the Xbox 360 still, there is a emulator for it, though it isn't fully developed. Sadly it is not backwards compatible for newer consoles.
The original music written for this game gives me chills to this day. I actually bought the OST, and I still put it on in my real, actual car when all I want to do is simply enjoy the car, and enjoy driving. It was, and is, almost magical.
this game...this game alone is the reason i became a petrolhead. FM4 made me fall in love with cars and racing as a whole. I'd kill for the chance to get this game again and play it one more time. I used to spend entire afternoons just messing around with cars trying to push them to their limits
This is the last Forza that had the first generation Gallardo and Murcielago, so it'll always be my all time favorite in the Forza Motorsport series. The car list from this game still has to be topped. It had everything. Absolutely insane.
FM6 is pretty damned close! It does piss me off though because I just picked it up again with a new Xbox and found out that you can't DL any if the car packs for it anymore....I wish there was a way I could get just a few Porsche models and like 10 other DL only cars, other than that it's perfect.
some of my favorite moments were in this game, running B class Japanese cars down Fujimi in a "touge" race with club members. we even had a leaderboard, where we couldn't challenge the faster guys before beating slower people lower on our leaderboard
Brilliant review as always. I've been playing Forza Motorsport 4 quite a bit recently for my review of it and I almost 100% agree with you. This game has aged so well. There's only a few things that I didn't like about it. The way DLC was done back then wasn't as good as it's done now in the newer games, but seeing as all of the DLC went offline in 2015, I guess that's no longer an issue. Playing though the game I found that once you get to the World Championships a lot of the tracks appear quite frequently and that's when the game starts to feel a bit repetitive.
For me, one of the best things about FM4 was that you could make private lobbies open. So people could make lobbies with the settings that everyone wants! People would do car meets, change the class for tag virus, always put the best tracks on etc…. Why they removed this feature I’ll never know, surely it must be so easy for them to add it in
I was hoping I would see this in the comments. They really ruined the community aspect after fm4. The custom lobbies were constantly thriving and the clubs made for some great rivalry.
I bought the game specifically because of the BMW E39 M5 (which I have owned since 2009) so that I could drive it on the Nordschleife. 1 month after purchasing the XBOX 360 with Forza 4, a Full HD projector from Benq with a Playseat and Fanatec Turbo S Wheel with 6 Speed Shifter had to be installed. I still play with the entire system every now and then.
i had played fm3 and 4 demos in gamestop, walmart (my neck hasn’t recovered, iykyk), even furniture stores. yet nothing will ever compare to the feeling of buying the 360 with forza 4 bundle and the wireless steering wheel, booting up disc 1 and 2, watching that intro, and being amazed. memories are engraved in my brain like it was yesterday. younger me cried at the beauty of the game, the older me sheds tears that we’ll never have anything like fm4. something about this game still has me hooked, no forza game since has captured my attention like this masterpiece. nostalgia overload
I was a grown man finally playing this game after having only played arcade racers like need for speed. I played Gran Turismo 1 on the PlayStation when I was a really young guy. And I too legitimately cried within the first probably hour or two of playing Forza Motorsport 4 - purely at understanding how amazing it was of a work of art.
This game changed my life. I was about 10 when I first played it. It was my first step into cars. The passion and the obvious car enthusiasm that went into the game just make it so unbelievably good.
Forza Motorsport 4 will likely remain as the greatest racing game I've ever played. Somebody would have to do a LOT in order to top it as an overall experience. The online was great with the custom lobbies and car clubs which you could share cars in for other members to use. The online was so good that even though it has a far inferior single-player experience as opposed to Motorsport 2, the online raised it so far above that it didn't matter. The track list was outstanding as well, with stuff like Tsukuba, Motegi, the original Test Track layouts, Fujimi Kaido, Nurburgring, etc. It was seriously just a great game and I will never forget my time on FM4.
Yea, probably had 500 hours in the game and never touched the single player. Online was a blast, I remember spending tons of time building and tuning different cars for different tracks in A and S class. It was so much fun, everyone brought their own homebrewed car and competed against each other. Then it had custom lobbies where you could create anything and it was mostly clean drivers that joined so the racing was fantastic. I will never forget this game, I will probably never have as much fun in a racing game ever again.
"Reserved, calm and more mature" that right there my friend, explains exactly what I miss, and what I detest about newer games in the franchise. Even the menu music was relaxing.
Never played forza motorsport much but this game feels like a classic this still keeps up today, good job moss for the video and for showing me a different era of racing games.
FM4 was definitely the best Forza in terms of cars, tracks, and content. Almost brought a tear to my eye to see the real and fictional tracks I forgot they dropped over time . The memories of the fun I had on those tracks, especially Italy. Great vid!
One of my favorite things about this game is that there are true production cars in it and you start with them! Toyota Prius. Nissan Leaf. Ford Ka. Little bubbles on wheels for moving you, not for driving, and you can race in them! There’s such a moment of thrill in this game getting your first even mild hatchback or old coupe after driving around in economy cars.
Drifting Fujimi Kaido was one of my favorite parts of the whole game. It's drift heaven on every level and there's never been anything else like it. Getting into huge drift lobbies and doing tandems in large groups was SO much fun.
If I'm being honest, this game's sound track is one of my favourites. The calming menu/select music contrasting the fast paced drum and bass trances. This game got me into drum and bass and I still listen to its menu music to this day when I want to study
Excellent review, im still playing the game after nine years. I love making my own racing liveries and real company logo decals in the game to give my cars a unique appearance. As long as my xbox consoles keep working i will never stop playing it
i absolutely adore motorsport 4! one of the best racing games i have every played. at the time i did not have an xbox. i was playing ps3 and gran turismo. went to a friends house and played it and the next day i went and i bought an xbox just because of this game!
I miss this game.. it was an absolute work of art and I could tell a lot of work and passion went into making it. Every car, manufacturer, track, etc. had a story to tell. And ForzaVista was revolutionary!
i and a few friends still meet up to play FM4 sometimes, with the Fanatec CSR Elite wheel, H Shifter and everything. Despite the 270 degree steering rotation its still very good and fun to drive. Ok graphics are a bit outdated but more in terms of resolution than details etc.
2024 after a 5 years break from the game it came back to my mind and I start playing again , this was one of the best dicisions I have ever made , if you think about it just do it man
i still play this game on my 360 till this day i love the soundtrack of the menu and the true racing experiance i love the the variety of cars in this game like the older versions of newer cars and like the prius you never see those in newer games and thats what i love about this game
People rarely talk about the career mode in racing games, they only focus on physics and graphics, but for me it’s really important for the experience, that’s the reason why I didn’t like GT5 and preferred GT6, why I prefer this game over the newer titles and why I have more hours in the F1 games than Assetto Corsa, so THANK YOU for pointing this out about the new games especially 7 and why this game is an unmatched masterpiece
I loved Forza Motorsport 4 so much that it was the reason I didn't even know anything about the Horizon series until late into Horizon 2. Kind of sad I never got to play Horizon 1 in its prime as I've played every Forza game since Motorsport 1 but Motorsport 4 was just a different level of fun for me at the time. enough fun to keep me on it for 4 years lol
FM4 and FH2, the absolute peak of Forza franchise. Spent years playing these two. Still in my collection waiting for another round in the future. Good old days...
this was my first ever intro to the forza games. i was 4 years old when this came out and i loved it. I recently went back to it and it felt exactly as i remember. while I do mostly play the horizon series, this motorsport game is what started everything for me not only as a forza player, but as a gamer in general.
I played this game on Kinect (!) from when I was 4 to when I was 8. Absolutely legendary stuff. I later revisited it on controller after playing XBOX One generation Forza games and it is honestly just better
@@amanx502 I completely forgot about the fact that it used the kinect. I do actually remember using that I think once or twice. I know that it won't be that likely but I would like to see fm8 be a little more fleshed out like fm4 was. not fm6 or 7. (i didn't play 5 or 6 so sorry if they were actually any good and i just dont know)
I really can't agree more that this was the high watermark of the series. Also, coming back to watch this video AFTER the reboot is pretty depressing. They are just not operating at the same level or going for the same feeling as they were in this game.
Amazing review! It's a bummer that you couldn't experience one of the best parts of this game, which is the multiplayer component. Not only races but the concept of Clubs and the way that you could contribute to that. Man, that part was my favorite and made me invest a lot of time in this game.
I think I had over 500 hours on this game, and none of it was in single-player. Building your own cars, tuning them and then racing them against other drivers was just too much fun. You could create private lobbies where only the best and cleanest would drive, it was a fantastic experience.
Glad this game held up for so many years I bought a 360 brand new just to play this game it was a dream when I was younger now, I’m on PS five and the world has changed😢
I remember getting this game back in the game, such good times. I wish I could get my hands on a copy, because I played the game so much the disc was scratched a lot
On xbox360 you can copy the disc image in the hd,no more need of disc after the instal. That help a bit for temp and much for noise level. if you have that and know someone who the game, you can try.
Game rocks so much I went and bought a referb Xbox 360 and another copy just in case my original copy breaks. I have a 10year old Fanatec GT2 RS wheel that still works and will play this from time to time. They recently took out the “rivals” mode that was my favorite thing to do though, so I’ve been using the CSL DD and Assetto Corsa instead, but the good times and replays still remain 😢!
The color scheme feels cold, unlike most of the other games that have warm yellow color, I think that’s why it looks so well. And this game seriously looks like a 2020 games visually, it’s stunning
I hope Forza motorsport 8 goes in a more sim direction while still being approachable, 7 seemed rushed and unfocused but 8 looks to be the opposite of that
@@TheSilentTiger898 is going to come into its own. I have a feeling it's like cyberpunk syndrome. Release is shit but years on its only going to be more and more refined
This is probably my favorite racer ever. I just went back to it a week ago and I'm blown away for how well done and pulished is. Also, it's amazing how it aged thanks to the 60fps. God... Forza Motorsport will never peak again u.u
You're right. This 8s still the Forza to live up to. But let's wait till Forza Motorsport, (Forza 8), ship's. I have a very good feeling about it. They're taking so much time for it. I think it will ship with a lot of cats and tracks.
One of this games highlights for me has to be Clarkson going over the UNSC Warthog. Even if you can't drive it, it was still a very memorable moment in the early days of my racing career in video games.
This game still holds up. When everything else fails, I blow up a steering wheel or something (you know how it is with sims), but I have the itch.... I go to FM3 and FM4 on Xbox 360. And have just as much a blast there on a controller, as I do in sims with FFB wheels, FFB seat cushion, ebrake, VR, etc.
this game was actually first forza game ive ever played. it was 2014 i was just 7 at the time. already 8 years ago and it feels like it was yesterday. i love this game
Forza motorsport 4 was so above all the other racing games at that time. To me it holds special place in my memory for many reasons , playing with friends on split screen , Jeremy in autovista was a blast and it was very first time i started to use manual in racing games and i still use it today
One of the best things about this game is the storefront. Everything else amazing about this game aside, the storefront makes everything so easy. You don’t have to download designs in order to see it, you can easily participate and see photo/design challenges and see it’s winners. One of the problems of the newer games, in my opinion, is the menus. You would think you could access all the menus while in the garage but not really. In order to look at photos for instance, you have to back out of the garage into the game then pause and look around the confusing menus to find it. That’s referring to the horizon games, I forget how it is in FM7, I haven’t played in a long time compared to how much FM4 I played. Also the ability to gift designs/liveries to people so they can openly edit it as if it was their own to change colors and so on. I also miss the huge amount of JGTC cars and D1 cars. I doubt the D1 cars would ever comeback due the Formula Drift deals, but I wish they would. And I think all who played this game miss Fujimi Kaido for all of those touge, drift, and time attack runs. Edit: Fully sending it in the replay at 14:16.
Man I love Forza 4. I sold my 360 like 5 years ago but this video reminded me how much I miss FM4 and how much I regretted getting rid of it. It made me buy a 360 and the game again lol As much as i like 7, FM4 still stands as the best game in the series imo.
I still play this game for Fujimi Kaido and some of the best car enjoyment that still gets my attention, even in between playing FM7 and FH5. Thank you for a a unbiased review of one of my favorite games ever
Thanks for uploading this video, the nostalgia hits the heart hard :'( I REAALLY wish the community pushes and pushes t10 to do their best to make it backwards compatible, even if they have to re-license for DLC etc, if they have a remastered version but everything is the same or even just a straight backwards compatibility and have servers running, they would make HEAPS of $ and have heaps of people back on it!!!!!!!!!
Great video. Would love to try out this game, just have to find and get a copy. About the new Forza Motorsport, from what the developers fave said, it seams that they are going in to every little detail of racing and implementing them to make every car, every race and every lap feel different. They have gone in to the AI and that they won't drive on a 0 or 1 basis. The AI will be able to turn or accelerate gradually like we can. They have also rehauled the suspension and tyre physics, added rubber in on race tracks, added air density and many more things they haven't said yet. I can't wait for the new game. If all of this is true, we could be seeing a FM4 V2.
Yeah it sounds like they're doing great things, but like Moses said I do hope they go back to a more similar career and car list. Sure IRL I wouldn't want to drive a Prius or whatever, but as a starting point it's cool and more importantly with engine swaps and all that all of the sudden it does become an awesome car. I mean I'll be wasting a lot of time on the game anyway, unless it's a total bust of course, but I'm with Moses that it's getting a bit stale with all the supercars and sports cars if anything a wolf in sheep's clothing is way cooler ;-p
@@markeldik7057 being able to take a boosted miata or s2000 etc and being able to punch above it's weight is one thing I loved about Forza which the new ones don't allow sadly with that homologation stuff.

Brilliant review! Thank you! Still playing it Today! July '24! I only have a PS3 and an XBox 360... but that's Fine with me! 64yo male. And I've currently got 64 Racing games!!! I just counted them! That's Cool! LOL FM4 definitely in my top 5
Recently bought an Xbox 360 to reinstall and play this. As I lost my old 360 to the sands of time, I have to start from the beginning. And almost immediately - I know what modern Forza is missing by playing just a few hours of FM4. Fortunately I have the complete DLC collection (I hear it's not available at all anymore!) so I am going to sink my teeth into this classic in anticipation for FM8 to compare the latest to the greatest.
A major thing about this game compared to playing the new forza games is the exhaust sounds. It's a huge factor. The forza motorsport 4 team went ahead and physically recorded the actual exhaust notes of each car and it makes a huuuge difference.
At the opener, I couldn't say that it is an old game. What a looker! For me, it isn't as important thing as other properties such as AI behavior, car list, track list and career progression but it is really good. You love your Vipers, don't you? I love them too. One of my three American cars I love. Good to see your excellent review videos man. Makes me want to play it.
I have such a nostalgic memory of this game. When I played it for the first time I was just starting to study for my driving licence, kinda against my will because i was scared of driving and i really wasn't into cars but I needed it. My instructor was a fan of this game and convinced me to get it so we could play it together and record clips from our phones of our driving we'd show one another after class, and he'd explain to me how my driving line was wrong, when to brake, how to pass without crashing etc. I understood nothing at all initially and it had nothing to do with driving an actual car but it kind of instilled into me a growing passion for cars I still have to this day and stronger than ever. So basically as funny as it sounds i owe my driving licence not only to him because he was a great guy but to FM4 too because they both got me into loving cars and made getting the licence much more fun of a process for someone like me who was scared of driving.
Coming from 2023 ,nothing in this video improved in the new Motorsport and no,we’re not getting any old fictional circuits except maple valley due,Turn 10 really wanted to “fantasize” the new motorsport and how it “evolved”, don’t get me fucking started with the “bUiLt FrOm ThE gRoUnD uP”
I went through middleschool playing this game. This game is what got me into racing, i was always into cars but not racing. It introduced me to so much. Watching this review made me extremely emotional; Not for the beautiful shots you got or amazing commentary. It was the memories and remebering how truly happy this game made me and all it introduced me and friends ive made because of it. This game is so much more then a simple video game. It was a source of pure joy, happiness, inspiration and excitement. Thank you for making this video. Brought back some of my happiest memories.
I still play this game to this day cause I never bought another Xbox game or consol after 2012. It really is the best game I've ever played. Another thing you forgot to point out is how the AI male mistakes, cause seeing them go wide and open up a gap is just the best feeling and makes the whole experience even more realistic. Thanks for the great video.
My cousing gifted me in december 2012 an xbox 360, inside it had Forza Motorsport 4 disc, and a code to download skhyrim. This game was an absolute smash to play split screen with friends, that golden 458 italia still is in my dreams!
What I loved about the cars in this game was that there was both the regular and high performance version of the car, like the ferrari f430 and the 430 scud, the audi s5 and RS5, volkswagen GTI and R meaning you could have the lower end car and tune it up to match
I remember going on the Forza forums on my computer so they could send me unicorn cars. Then online with custom multiplayer races. Absolutely incredible, 1000 sum cars or so as well.
This is my all-time favorite racing game, and the only forza I still play to this day. Really glad other people appreciate how classic it is. And my god, can we talk about how good the cars sound? Going to redline in your favorite car is just so satisfying, ever played a game that even comes close. Menu music also slaps
FM4 is really good. I played consistently from FM3 up to FM8 (2023). And this is probably the best overall. Sadly your (and mine too) expectations of FM 2022 didn’t like up. Awesome physics and graphics, but career mode is by far the worst (at launch).
I’m wholeheartedly with you on ditching drivatars. I think that they should be replaced with actual programmed AI in both Motorsport and Horizon as the trade off of actual consistency is just too much compared to what we gain, which is pretty much nothing major.
Forza Motorsport 4 was my first Forza that i got with my Xbox 360 on Christmas. I wish it was backwards compatible like Horizon 1. I miss having slow starter cars, and that detailed Forzavista. Listening to Jeremy talking about the cars with his funny jokes was my favorite thing.
Great video! Made me remember that how much Horse Powers (no pun intended) a Series X or PS5 has, that the 360 era was my ultimate gaming era and FM4 is still my goat racing game. I miss it and hate that is not backward compat :(
Man, they absolutely botched FM23. Looking at FM4 again for the first time in years, Turn 10 should be embarrassed with the current state of FM. They released a demo/Beta and called it a ground up masterpiece... What they gave us, is a buggy, little content, terrible graphic, horrible sounding, RPG based grind fest and it blows. I'm so disappointed.
Absolutely fantastic video, honestly touched on so many of the things I loved about this game. The soundtrack alone is a blast from the past, and theres so many other things about this game that I think went missing along the line of following products. Unicorn cars, a marketplace for vehicle decals, and even just the general sense of proper community engagment, all feel lost now. FM4 and FH1 are games that I wish I could play on my wheel now, even if I had to pay double for them both.
This is a legend of a car game. You can really tell the HUGE difference between gen Y (FM4) and gen Z (FH5) that has occurred. The passion is gone, we all need Lambo's and Mclarens to be "someone" when these 10-15 yo games gave us something to aspire to. Sadly, this is not just some rot in racing games, or even games in general.
Looking back at this video after the new motorsport came out, motorsport 4 was truly a gem that the devs just couldn't recreate despite being given ages to make the new one
Brilliant review! ⚡ Just brushed the dust of my 360 the other day, only to play this game. Still impresses me and puts a smile on my face! Remember back in the days i had my xbox plugged into a projector and a couple of speakers. Think I got around 120-inches screen size. Put in so many hours. A real joy. And also I think this game was in its own class when it comes to engine/exhaust sound. I can't remember the competitors being anywhere near back then. I still remember thinking that Forza Motorsport 4 had to be peak racing game for a few years to come. Happy to see this review and other people appreciate the sheer amount of details that made this game so very good.
In Forza 4 you can just go through entire seasons with a car you really like and not be forced to change it up if you don't want to. I have so many good memories with 4, it is disappointing how it turned out by 7.
I just happen to get this gem along with 2 Xbox 360s, one a 2008 model and a slim with mw3, ac4, halo reach, halo 3 limited collectors edition, halo 4, max payne 3, dark souls, dishonored, and gears of war limited collectors edition. I had also bought GTA IV, fo3, mw2, rdr + undead nightmare dlc, and ac3 digitally before the store was shut down.
Time and technology are not my friends, due to my illness I have a small budget to save, 4k uhd technology is still very expensive for me and I still play on the xbox 360 forza 4 on a 47 inch lcd 100hrz philips tv of 14 years old. I have seen the graphics of the new games on the new consoles, I like racing games but the only one that still doesn't bore me is forza motorsport 4 on the xbox 360, this video proved to me that in 2012 I already was right. I have never played this game with a steering wheel, because of this video I have a logitech fx steering wheel, I hope it is the right choice. I think it's fantastic to hear that I'm not the only one who thinks forza 4 is really great. Thanks mosesb for being right.
The game is still gorgeou and fun! Love the video man! But one correction, the game is not 1080p Is 720p with a good 4x MSAA implementation. Very sharp also.

this game will always have a place in my heart. what a groundbreaking video game. i remember calling my grandad in to check out the graphics on a 458 italia driving through the alps. he said it looked like real life and his jaw was wide open. i felt so happy that i impressed him with a game i was playing.

FM3 had a better campaign
While watching this I actually got a few goosebumps, it's so hard to believe that a game which came out 10 whole years ago can hold up this well. FM4 is still an incredible game to this day, I am still actively playing this game in 2021 and will definitely be actively playing in 2022. @@Davo_1991 I think so, the servers have been very shaky though lately.
@IBZ I'm playing on the Xbox 360 still, there is a emulator for it, though it isn't fully developed. Sadly it is not backwards compatible for newer consoles.
@No Nope 100%, I still do get goosebumps from the opening theme and OST.
It's also a testament to how much current gaming has stagnated.
Absolutely insane.
i agree those cars should be brought back to the newer games
I wish you could still get the unicorn cars (MINE'S Skyline, etc). Man this game was great, especially for its time
Wish it could've been BC and One X/Series enhanced. It still looks decent on a 4k tv though, albeit jaggies etc.
That's right, i remember having a gen 1 gallardo set up for racing in S class and it was a very competitive contender, loved it and the sound omfg!!
Setsuna Yuki also love all those LMP cars in Forza Motorsport 4.

It sucks that I can't buy the DLC, that Porsche expansion would be an awesome one to have for sure.

For me, one of the best things about FM4 was that you could make private lobbies open. So people could make lobbies with the settings that everyone wants! People would do car meets, change the class for tag virus, always put the best tracks on etc…. Why they removed this feature I’ll never know, surely it must be so easy for them to add it in
Why is everyone using past tense, it's still online to this day
I was hoping I would see this in the comments. They really ruined the community aspect after fm4. The custom lobbies were constantly thriving and the clubs made for some great rivalry.
That intro was a blast of nostalgia. Spent at least 1000 hours racing online
For me 2333 hours playing both career and online modes.
I bought the game specifically because of the BMW E39 M5 (which I have owned since 2009) so that I could drive it on the Nordschleife.

The sidewinder test track in FM2 was an absolute monster as well. This series is one of the best racing games, ever.

And almost immediately - I know what modern Forza is missing by playing just a few hours of FM4. Fortunately I have the complete DLC collection (I hear it's not available at all anymore!) so I am going to sink my teeth into this classic in anticipation for FM8 to compare the latest to the greatest.

That and FPS boost for the older horizon games :-p

What I loved about the cars in this game was that there was both the regular and high performance version of the car, like the ferrari f430 and the 430 scud, the audi s5 and RS5, volkswagen GTI and R meaning you could have the lower end car and tune it up to match

I’m wholeheartedly with you on ditching drivatars. I think that they should be replaced with actual programmed AI in both Motorsport and Horizon as the trade off of actual consistency is just too much compared to what we gain, which is pretty much nothing major.

Couldn't agree more!
@@UltraViolet_Moses even Coco Hayashi and Setsuna Yuko also loves Forza Motorsport 4. So much. ❤️
@@UltraViolet_Moses oops, Setsuna Yuki i apologize.
Thank you!
But one correction, the game is not 1080p
Is 720p with a good 4x MSAA implementation. Very sharp also.
